Sweet Stamps, Simon Says Stamp and Try It on Tuesday Challenges

"For Dad" is the theme at Sweet Stamps Challenge this week and at Try It on Tuesday, they want to see "One for the Men." Father's Day is also the theme at Simon Says Stamp.  I had fun making this Father's Day card with some products I recently purchased from Stampin' Up. Years ago I had a ton of pop tops that I never used and got rid of in one of my purging moods, then regretted that when they made a resurgence this year. I can flatten them so easily with my "No More Shims" thick embossing pad. Then I punched a circle and added some stickers to say "Pop". The circle around it is a neat new stamp I had to get from Hero Arts. The shoe was stamped, colored with Copics and cut out. The bottom part was embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and sponged with dark brown ink.

Stamping smiles, Karen

Your card is so 'male'. I like the wood grain with the distress ink, under the shoe. I think the 'Pop' in the pop bottle top is great!

I hope dad gets the other shoe next year ;)
A brilliant idea with the embossed floor the shoe stands on!
Thank you for sharing this with us at TIOT!

Awesome and brilliant card! I saw this as an entry on Simon Says Stamp and I think it has all the reason to win the challenge. Beautiful ;-)
