Today I am sharing another card I made with Doodle Paper Playground's Spring Fling Sparkle Blend sequin mix as a guest designer diva this month. I showed this card and many other shaker cards in my newest YouTube video here. Using tulle to hold the shaker elements in makes the card much flatter and easier to mail. I cut the butterfly shape with a die from Stampendous and stamped the perfect sentiment from Crafter's Companion. I dumped a bunch of the Spring Fling sequin mix in the tulle and taped it closed. I attached a few of the pretty sequins in the mix to the front of the card too. Here is a picture with the sequin mix all shook up:

Inspired by Save the Crafty You-Tuber Videos- Still Time to Hop and Win!
I was part of the Save the Crafty YouTuber video hop last week and hopped along with many of you getting inspired by the variety of techniques and commenting to maybe win one of the prizes. (The link in this paragraph goes to a complete list of the video hoppers and all the prizes if you scroll down.)
**There are just a couple more days to hop and comment to maybe win one of over 120 prizes donated by the generous sponsors! The winners are going to be drawn on February 26th so if you haven't hopped, make sure to take some time this weekend to do so! You can start at my video here or go to the beginning here.**
My favorite video and technique was from Laurel Beard's stop and I just loved the card she shows here on her blog and in her video. I was so inspired I made three cards with a marble background stamp similar to the one she used (mine is from Stampin' Up) and gold Deco Foil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel. Laurel showed how to stamp the large marble background stamp using a stamp platform, then added the Deco Foil Transfer Gel directly on the stamp and stamped the image with the transfer gel. When the transfer gel had dried clear she layered gold foil on top and ran the piece through a hot laminator. I tried that but was not happy with my results and also was a little concerned about trying to get the transfer gel off the stamp as I was making several cards. So I tried using several sizes of brushes to add the transfer gel directly on the stamped cardstock and the cards here are the result. Even if I can see the brush marks, I liked the results but I ended up happiest with a smaller brush I could turn to do thinner or thicker lines. The contrast of the foiled gold against the grey marbled backgrounds is very pretty. Here are the other two cards I created:
Here are the products I used in each card:
On all: Deco Foil Gold Foil, Deco Foil Transfer Gel, Stampin' Up Marbled Background, Nuvo Metro Grey Ink
#1 Great Love die by Penny Black
#2 HB To You die by Simon Says Stamp, musical Happy Birthday unknown source
#3 (made for local stamp club challenge to use a doily, star, sketch and pennant in our cards) Flower and pennant die as well as the "let's celebrate" stamp all from Tonic Studios (I die cut the flower and leaves from another grey foiled marble background, sponged on purple and green ink and created the flower with dies from the Tonic Craft Kit #5 which is available yet in the U.S. Send me a message via the Contact Form on the side on the blog if you want to know how to get it.)
I am entering the first card in the Make Your own Background challlenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday and the Anything Goes challenge at Scrapy Land (used a Penny Black die.)

Rinea Foiled Paper and Couture Creations Love Card
I found a new foil paper at Creativation (or CHA) this year and created this LOVE card with them and a new large Couture Creations embossing folder called 3 Fold Memories. I die cut LOVE (using a die from MFT) and a pretty patterned foil paper from Rinea. Their foil papers are light weight and easy to emboss, punch or die cut. I embossed a double sided piece of Rinea foil and punched out the purple and gold hearts at the top of this card. Here is a look at the Rinea foil paper I received as samples in their booth.
The embossing folder I made this card with is very large (you need an A4 sized machine) and creates different embossing patterns on three folds. I attached a strip of embossed Rinea foil paper down the side of the third panel where I will sign and write a message. The hearts embossing folder is from Daricea and the white and gold ribbon is from Gina K Designs.
After the ribbon band is removed, this card will stand up with the LOVE message showing on each beautifully embossed panel. I think it would be perfect for the next time I need a wedding card.

"Shake It! You Know You Wanna" with Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends and Therm O Web
Today I am
honored to be a Doodles Paper Playground Guest Designer Diva on their blog and here on mine. I love
making shaker cards and the new sequin mixes released this month and available here at
White Rose Crafts LLC totally inspired me! Take a look at the Ocean View
Sparkle Blend I used in this shaker card:
Here is the description of this Ocean View blend:
“I don’t know about you, but I love a pretty water themed
card or layout & we wanted to create a blend that evokes those ever
changing colors. This vivid combination of cup sequins, round confetti, faceted
crystals and micro beads in cobalt, aqua, teal and just a touch of light blue
was just the look we were going for. We added a sprinkling of dolphin shaped
confetti in a variety of colors to complete the effect.”
I am saving the cute dolphins for water themed card I will
make later. I went with monochromatic blues and punny “shake it” – you know you
wanna” stamps from Sudio Calico for this shaker card. I am also using a brand
new product from Therm O Web called Clear Designer Toner Sheets which are
acetate sheets with patterns of toner on them that can be run through a hot
laminator with any foil you choose so our shaker acetate fronts have a pretty
pattern on them. I ran the Doodles Deco Foil Clear Designer Toner Sheet through
my hot laminator with a piece of Brilliant Blue Fancy Foil, then die cut the
clear acetate shaker front. I laid the leftover foil on a Deco Foil Toner Sheet
and ran it through the laminator again, then cut the stitched circles using a
die set from Lil’ Inker. To see these patterned acetate sheets and these
techniques in action, check out my video
here.
Here is a picture of the sequin mix “all shook up”. I
created a well with two layers of mounting tape, dumped in the Ocean View
sequin mix and sealed it with a white circle on which I stamped “shake it”. I
continued the theme on the inside of the card with more acetate circles and a
celebration sentiment from Gina K Designs:
I had fun designing this shaker card and encourage you to
check out the many Doodle
Paper Playground Sparkle Blends
available exclusively at White Rose Crafts LLC. Shake it- you know you
wanna!

Joyful Christmas Card with Therm O Web Clear Designer Toner Sheets
I make and teach Christmas cards every month so that when December comes, my students and I have a stash already made and ready to be addressed and sent. I designed this joyful colorful card for March's class when my students will be learning all about Therm O Web's new Clear Designer Toner Sheets. I also shared instructions on how to make yesterday's card using the acetate sheets with patterns of toner on them on my new YouTube video here.
The clear toner sheet I used in this card is called Groovy. I layered Gina K Designs/Therm O Web Brilliant Blue Fancy Foil over a piece of the Groovy patterned acetate and ran it through a hot laminator. Then I took the leftover foil, layered it on a piece of Deco Foil Toner Sheet and ran it through the laminator. I die cut JOY using letters from the Kat Scrappiness Large Alpha Dies, glued them to black foam and placed them back in the spots where the pattern continues from the background to the letters.
I punched a couple more snowflakes out of the colorful negative sheet and added a "Christmas Blessings" diecut from Sue Wilson for the inside of this card. To learn more about this innovative new product from Therm O Web, watch my newest video here. Thanks for helping me share the #joy of creativity!
**Edited to add: these awesome Clear Designer Toner Sheets are now available on the Therm O Web website! Here is a link to the whole selection!

Oh My Stars! Loving These Doodles Paper Playground Sequin Mixes!
I am very happy to share my second card as a guest Doodles Paper Playground Designer Diva for the month of February today. I received and was able to design with each of the five February releases of the sequin mixes from Doodles Paper Playground sold exclusively at White Rose Crafts LLC here.
I love to make shaker cards with unique and fun sequin mixes and I chose the bright Rosey Gold Sparkle Blend mix to make this Oh My Stars card. Here is the description and a picture of this Sparkle Blend Rosey Gold mix:
"Rose Gold is back in fashion and we love how pairing it with
different shades of pink really makes those rosey tones pop. We paired a
gorgeous, blush gold cup sequin with metallic round magenta sequins &
dimensional stars and a beautiful combination pastel pink heart & star
confetti, pink flower Fimo slices, faceted crystals & two sizes of micro
beads in different finishes."
I die cut Memory Box's Starry Lens Die out of a yellow cardfront and stamped the perfect sentiment from Lil' Inker's Shiny Happy Sentiment Stamp Set. I attached some sparkly pink stitched stars using a die set also from Lil' Inker. I used two layers of mounting tape to create a well after attaching some acetate to the back on the yellow piece, then dumped in the fun Rosey Gold sequin mix. On the inside, I stamped another fun sentiment from the Lil' Inker stamp set and added a star and a few sequins.

Friend's Valentine Card
I designed this Valentine's Day card for a dear friend using a sketch and color theme from our local monthly stamping club and am sharing today on my blog. I love this new Tutti Designs Fancy Hearted Cat die and I attached the diecut kitty with mounting tape on the diagonally cut pink pieces on a red card base. I also die cut Simon Says Stamp's Heart Sprinkle Trail and added a couple of the hearts that came out of the kitty.
I continued the theme on the inside with another diagonal cut, more Sprinkle Trail hearts and a pretty floral friends die also from Tutti Designs.
I am entering this card in the Add a Die Cut challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday. I hope you all have a lovely Valentine's Day! Thanks for visiting and for helping me #spread the joy of creativity!

Save the Crafty YouTuber Video Hop - Two More Hot Camo Embossed Cards
Today I am sharing two more cards made with the Hot Camo or Metallic Camo Embossing Technique I shared in my latest video here as part of the Save the Crafty YouTuber Video Hop. There are over 120 prizes to be won just by watching and commenting on the videos! You have until February 26th to complete the hop and Justine will choose the winners on each stop. On my video here, you can win a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp or two Catherine Pooler inks just by leaving a comment!
As I show in the video, this embossing technique is easy to do and depending on what colors of embossing powders you choose, the look can be masculine or metallic or spring colors as I chose on yesterday's card. For all the details and links to the products, watch the video and see the description box just below the video.
There are so many stops in this hop it is not possible to list them all here, but you can start with mine and then hop to the end and then start again at Justine Hovey's video here. You do not have to comment on each video to win, but the more you comment and subscribe, the more chances you will have to win one of the more than 120 prizes! Save the Crafty YouTuber Video Hop - Hot Camo Embossing Technique
I am thrilled to be participating in a huge video hop organized by Justine Hovey on the Stamp Junkies Facebook group. We kept our videos short because there are many videos on the hop and even more prizes to be won! Take a look at all the sponsors:

The theme of the blog hop is "My Favorite Technique" and I have chosen the Hot Camo technique I discovered using embossing powders in an unique way. I show how to do the technique in the video here and the result is the pretty bumpy textured look you see on the butterflies and the strip on the side of the inside. For this card I used favorite dies from Simon Says Stamp, Penny Black and Memory Box as well as embossing powders and glitter from Nuvo. All the links are in the description box at the video as well as a link to the next stop in the video hop. For a complete list of the video hop participants, visit here.
Our Save the Crafty YouTuber video hop was put together in order to help out the many crafters who are affected by the new YouTube rules that require a much higher number of minutes watched and subscribers in order to earn money. Some of the biggest names in the industry along with many crafty companies have come together to help those in need and to bring YOU, the audience, some amazing new tutorials from artists you may never have seen before. As a new YouTuber, I greatly appreciate the opportunity this blog hop provides and thank Justine Hovey and the many sponsors so much!

NBUS Love or Valentine Card with my Gemini Jr.
I am experimenting with my new Gemini Jr. and detailed dies and embossing folders and am delighted with the results. I die cut this new detailed Love heart die from Sizzix/Cuttlebug out of red mirror card (from Tonic) and it cut beautifully the first time through. I embossed the 3D embossing folder from WeR Memory Keepers in the Gemini Jr and again, great results! I added some red pearls to some of the intersections of the embossed cardbase. I like to emboss the whole card so the inside has texture too:

Minions and Cupcakes All Shook Up for Doodles Paper Playground!
I am very happy to share that I have been chosen as a guest Doodles Paper Playground Designer Diva for the month of February! I received and was able to design with each of the five February releases of the sequin mixes from Doodles Paper Playground sold exclusively at White Rose Crafts LLC here.
I love to make shaker cards with unique and fun sequin mixes and I chose the bright Crown Jewels mix to make this Minion Cupcake Shaker card. Here is the description and a picture of this Sparkle Blend Crown Jewels mix:
"Jewel tones have been on trend for awhile, and this year is no different. This bold combination of ultraviolet, teal, ruby red, hunter green, coppery orange & gold is sure to fit the bill with its variety of bright metallic cup sequins, assorted sized star confetti, sparkly faceted crystals & prismatic giant glitter in both hexagon and diamond shapes. You can’t go wrong with this striking blend."
To make my minion cupcake shaker card I first cut the cupcake opening with dies from Karen Burniston's Cupcake Pop-Up Die Set. I attached acetate behind the cupcake window and stamped the fun cupcake sentiment using a new stamp from So Suzy Stamps. I stamped confetti from a new Gina K Designs/Therm O Web stamp set called Time to Celebrate. Stuart (the minion) with Cupcake is also from So Suzy Stamps and I stamped and paper pieced him before attaching him with mounting tape to raise. I picked out some of the colorful stars in the Crown Jewels mix to attach to the cardfront.
I attached 2 layers of mounting tape around the cupcake opening and dumped some of the colorful Crown Jewels Sparkle Blend mix into the well before sealing it up with a piece of white cardstock. Then I layered the shaker piece onto a blue cardfront. Here is a look at the card "all shook up" and the inside of the card with another fun sentiment from So Suzy Stamps:
I am entering this card in the sequins challenge at Double D Challenges and the Anything Goes challenge at Scrapy Land (used Karen Burniston dies).
