It’s time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids and this time our theme is Early Holiday Wishes 4 Kids! Yes it is time to start making and sending in your cards for our kids so that every child in our 8 children’s hospitals over the holidays gets a card. And if we have enough, maybe they could also send out or give a card to a loved one they are missing or a teacher or a healthcare worker they want to thank. We can put a lot of smiles on a lot of faces with the cards you send in! You are not required to send in your cards to enter our challenge, but our kids sure hope you do!
We have two very generous sponsors this week: Bugaboo is giving their winner 7 digis of their choice! And The Cutting Cafe’ is giving their randomly picked winner 3 sets of digis or cutting files! TEAM S.A.S will also be choosing their favorite cards for our top three and the winners will receive a blog badge and an opportunity to be a guest design team member on a future challenge. For all the details and to see the awesome cards by the design team, please visit the blog here.
My first card above features several digital files from The Cutting Cafe'. I printed the holiday Merry and Bright Christmas balls on velum, colored from the back and layered over the Christmas words background.
My second card features a darling holiday turtle from Bugaboo. Since he is bringing a present, I decided to make that the theme for my card. I punched a presents border (Martha Stewart) and added a sentiment from CTMH and sticker letters. The inside shown below is a presents created with just a few snips of the scissors that I learned to do here. You could decorate each "present" with different designers papers but I chose to keep it CAS by just adding a strip of red like a ribbon on each present. I also embossed the front and inside with embossing folders of course.
I am entering these cards in the challenges at ABC Christmas (Anything Goes) and The Perfect Sentiment for Christmas Critters.
