Happy Father's Day to all the guys out there! Today is a perfect day to share some guy cards I made with my Silhouette Portrait. My first card above was made with this week's Free Shape of the Week and I am linking it to the Silhouette Blog's Weekly Shape Challenge. I made a larger card (5 1/4' x 6 3/4") that looks like a tool box. I embossed the whole card and the Dad sentiment with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I attached the handle and tabs with glue dots and closed the card with a piece of velcro. Here is the inside of the card:
When I originally started designing with this Silhouette cutting file, I cut the whole file out with a piece of white card stock just to see how the pieces fit together and what pieces and sizes I wanted to use. So I had a small toolbox in white sitting on my desk and I decided to use it as a gift card holder in the inside of the larger card. The sentiment is a digital stamp from Desert Diva and is free here.
My second guy's card today was so simple to make! I simply cut the Classic Car shape (from Silhouette) out on an A2 sized brown card. I attached a piece of white card stock on the inside of the card. I embossed a row of stars on the bottom (Cuttlebug) and added pearls and some letter stickers to complete the CAS card.
I am entering these cards in the "For Dad" challenge at QKR Stampede.
Stamping & Silhouette smiles, Karen
