I love using kraft paper in my cards and so it was easy to come up with one to use for this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp, "Get Krafty". I recently had a request to make some sympathy cards for sale, and this is one of the cards I designed. The butterfly punch, pokey pattern and stamp are all from Stampin' Up. I punched out the butterfly, poked around it with a needle and layered it with pop dots above the patterned paper below. The beautiful sentiment is from Crackerbox Palace. I added a brown pearl to complete the card.
I am also entering this card in the Monochrome challenge at Open Minded Challenges.
Wow! I don't know how to say how much I love this card, the simplicity of the colours and design and the amazing sentiment, thanks for joining us at Open Minded Challenges this fortnight

Wonderfully done. Love butterflies always, but I would never have thought of punching it out of the same card and then doing the piercing around it. That looks gorgeous! An amazing card design!
ReplyDeleteLovely card. Kraft is good for sympathy cards -- it's honest and humble somehow. I like how you punch the butterfly and used the punch-out elsewhere on the card.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Karen! I love the piercing around the butterfly. Thanks so much for playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Get Krafty!
