It’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! This time our challenge is For the Girls! Create and link any card for a girl and you could win one of our great prizes. If you are going to donate your card for one of our girls who is inpatient in a children’s hospital, or are making others for our kids, please consider making some for our teenage girls as we always have a need for those. You do not have to donate your card to enter our challenges, but our kids sure appreciate it when you doJ
We have three very generous sponsors for this challenge: Heather Ellis is giving their winner 2 images! Meljen’s Designs is giving their randomly picked winner 4 images! And Oak Pond Creation’s winner gets 1 image of their choice! TEAM S.A.S will also be choosing their favorite cards for our top three and the winners will receive a blog badge and an opportunity to be a guest design team member on a future challenge.
My first card above features a sweet kitty from Meljen's Designs called Miss Fancy Cat. I found a fun sketch on Pinterest for a square card with dp corners and diagonals. I used my Nestabilities for the circle and squares and corner pieces. I printed Miss Fancy Cat and paper pieced her boa and feathers, coloring the rest with my Copics.
My second card was also created with Spellbinders dies for both the card base and the top layer. I printed "Pure Innocence" from Heather Ellis , paper pieced her dress and butterfly, and colored and sponged the rest.
I am entering these cards in the Die Cut/Punch Frenzy challenge at Creative Knockouts and the Pets R Us challenge at DRS Designs.

Both of these are so cute. I really like that fancy cat in the first one. You've colored her so pretty with that blue scarf! And for such a worthy cause too! Thanks for playing along with us at DRS Designs.
