It’s another Designer’s Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built, Repeat Impression’s blog. It’s
Melissa’s turn this time and she is challenging our team and you to make a
birthday card. After you make your birthday card, you can enter it for a chance
to win some awesome Repeat Impressions rubber! Please visit the blog for all the details and to see the other Rock Star's cards for
this DCC challenge. I have seen them and
you do not want to miss them!
I used
Repeat Impression’s Wine Time set to create this birthday card for a wine
lover. I saw this version of a double twisted easel somewhere on Pinterest, but
I tried and tried and cannot find the original pin or a tutorial to share with
you. To create it, you cut an A2 card, then cut the front piece in half up to
the fold line. Fold the left half in half down as in a traditional easel card.
I cut out two bottles of wine, paper pieced the labels and propped this half up
on two wine bottle corks stamped on cork paper and cut out. The right half of
the front is folded in a diagonal like a twisted easel card is and once again
held up with some cork paper wine bottle corks. I stamped the fun birthday wine
sentiment three times, stamped some wine glasses and paper pieced a couple
different flavors of wine. I layered the white piece on a purple piece and
attached that to the bottom only of the folded right half. Here is a picture of
how the card folds flat to mail.
I am entering this card in the Anything Goes
challenges at Crafting from the Heart and Through the Craft Room Door.
