The first
Wednesday of each month at Repeat Impression’s blog, The
House that Stamps Built,
is going to be a color challenge. We give you the color inspiration, and you
can make a card using those colors to possibly win a great prize of Repeat
Impressions rubber!
Here is the color palette chosen this month:
Kraft is one
of my favorite colors to make cards with, and red cards make me happy, so this
card was easy to design. I started with a kraft card base and layered a piece
of red on top with a beautiful border cut with two curved border dies from
Spellbinders. I heat embossed a large dragonfly from Repeat Impressions with a
sparkly black embossing powder and cut it out. I stamped a smaller dragonfly
and a perfect sentiment and the happy card was done.
I am entering
this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Crafting from the Heart and the Design
Team Showcase.
Karen, what a fabulous card! The curved border is beautiful and adds such interest. Thanks so much for visiting my blog a while ago. I truly appreciated your comment, and I apologize it has taken me so long to reciprocate. I've been scrolling through your latest posts...what a delight! I'm more than happy to follow along your card making journey. :)
