There are a couple challenges I wanted to be sure to enter this week and this card meets those challenges. Scrapy Land's theme is Monochromatic (using dies they sell) and Addicted to CAS's 3rd Birthday theme is CAS with dimension. This card is all shades of blue, and the dimension is provided by a lovely embossing folder by Spellbinders called Fabric Weave. I embossed the blue patterned paper and then sponged with blue ink to highlight the dimension. I die cut the "make a wish" sentiment from Tonic Studios and the sailboat from Die-Versions in navy blue and attached the card front to a navy blue card. It is so easy to make a CAS but lovely card with great dies and embossing folders.

Ooo, very cool background karen!! You definitely achieved the "waves" look and who can resist Polka-dots?! :) Cute card x
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like the distressing - it looks like waves on the water.

Love the embossed and inked paper - it is fabulous, and the black against it is so eye catching. Wonderful card Karen
