Welcome to this stop on the "Blogs 4 Boobies" Blog Bounce (Hop)! This is day 2 of a 7 day event. I am so glad that you joined us today for this one-of-a-kind-blog (hop) bounce! Every card or project that is shown along the hop or bounce is up for auction! All of the money raised through the silent auction on our blogs will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Skipping Stones Design is also donating $2 to the cause for EVERY stamp set sold June 1st-14th. SSD is celebrating "Blogs 4 Boobies" with the release of 6 ALL NEW stamp sets shown here.
There are 3 ways that you can help and join in on the fun(draising): 1. You can help by shopping! For every
stamp set that you purchase during June 1st through the 14th, SSD
will donate $2 to the Komen Foundation. Stamping and shopping that you can feel
good about!
2. You can help by bidding! Another way you can help us
raise money for the Komen Foundation is to bid on a project or card along the
blog bounce (hop). EVERY card or project
along the Blogs for Boobies Bounce is up for auction. We recommend a starting
bid of $5 or more. Your bid not only includes the card or project but shipping
to your home as well. (My project will be sent to USA addresses only.) If you
are the highest bidder 7 days after the blogpost date at 8:00 pm CST, you WIN
the card/project that you bid on. (For mine, that would be 8:00 pm CST June 9th.)
3. You can help by telling your friends! Help us
spread the word about "Blogs 4 Boobies." The more people that know,
the more money we can raise! Please share on your blogs and on Facebook.
How to place a bid on my project:
Step #1 - Find the comment section of this blogpost. (If you are bidding along
the blog hop June 1st – 7th, make sure you are commenting
on the Blogs for Boobies blogpost.) Please note you may only bid on the
card or project shown in the specific "Blogs 4 Boobies" blogpost. Any
bids not placed on the correct post will be considered invalid.
Step #2 - Once you are in the "Blogs 4 Boobies" comment section, fill
in the dollar and cents amount of what you are willing to pay for the card or project.
We recommend a starting bid of $5 or more. Remember your bid includes shipping as
well as the card/or project. 100% of the money your bid will go to the Susan G.
Komen Foundation. If you are bidding higher than the initial $5 bid, please
increase the bid in increments of 50 cents or more.
Step #3 - Next to the dollar amount of your bid, please type in your name and email address. During a silent
auction, bidders sign their name next to their bid. So typing your email address is the electronic
equivalent of signing your bid. Also it will help the blogger contact you if
you are the highest bidder. You may type the email address out to discourage
spammers if you wish (for example, khasheck at gmail dot com.)
Step #4 - Once you have entered your bid/comment, sit back and wait. If someone
out bids you then you may bid again. Bidding will continue until 8:00 p.m. June
9th for my project.
The winner of the auction will be the highest bid
(that includes an email address) in the comment section of my Blogs 4 Boobies post
at the end of the silent auction. I will declare the winner and Skipping Stone Designs will send the winner an invoice for the donation/bid amount. We ask that
the winner pay that invoice as soon as possible, so I can get your purse and
card in the mail to them.
AND IF YOU PLACE A BID AND ARE NOT THE FINAL WINNER, YOU CAN STILL WIN!! TONIC STUDIOS HAS DONATED A GENEROUS PRIZE PACKAGE OF TONIC STUDIOS AND NUVO GOODIES INCLUDING A CHELSEA PURSE DIE, AN ASSORTMENT OF GLITTER AND CRYSTAL DROPS AND TONIC GLUES! AFTER THE BIDDING FINISHES, I WILL PICK A RANDOM WINNER FROM EVERYONE WHO PLACED A BID ON MY PROJECT AND LEFT AN EMAIL ADDRESS IN THEIR COMMENT/BID. SO PLEASE BID AND THEN BID AGAIN AND YOU COULD WIN EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE HIGHEST BID!
I have popped in pictures of my card and purse along with all the
details of how to bid and raise money for this great cause. I used a lovely Skipping
Stone Designs stamp set called Birthday Purses to make my card. In keeping
with the “purse” theme, I also designed a matching little pink purse using the
Kensington Purse Die from Tonic Studios. I also used pink glitter and white
embossing powder, Pure Platinum Embellishment Mousse and Sherbert Shimmer
Glitter Drops, all by Nuvo for Tonic Studios on my purse and card.
We all know at least one special woman who had to fight breast
cancer. I am dedicating this blog post to my sister and several close friends
who are breast cancer survivors. I hope someday we do not need to raise money to
find a cure for breast cancer, but right now we still need to fight. I hope you
find a card or project (or more) along the seven day blog hop you like and will
place a bid to maybe win it. And if it is mine, thank you so much for bidding
and helping us raise money for this great cause!
Your next stop along the way is LauraJane's blog here. If you get lost or if a link does not work, please start back at the SSD blog here.
