The box was made with two patterned cardstock pieces. The top was cut 7 1/4" square and scored at 1 3/4" on all sides. One of the scored lines on each side is cut up to the other scored lines (to see that in a video, watch here and if you want to skip right to the gift box info, go to minute 18:15 on the video.) The bottom was cut 7 1/2" square and scored at the 2 inch line on all sides, then cut up to the scored lines one on each side. In the video, I show how to cut those and put the box together- it is really easy to create a box any size you want using this method and the sides fold and attach very easily. I stamped the Tweet One Curio Stamp and colored her with a Ranger Blending Tool and inks. I cut her out and stood her up on the top of the box with a little folded piece of cardstock. The Happy Birthday and the stitched rectangle die are from the Stampendous Cling Fresh Peony set of stamps and matching dies.
I am loving all the stamps and dies from Stampendous I am sharing this week on my blog and in my newest video here and hope you check them out on their website soon.
I am entering this project in the Birthday challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
