Doodles Paper Playground Designer Diva Guest DT Sparkle Blend Card

Happy Thursday everyone!  I am honored to be back today as a Doodles Paper Playground Guest Designer Diva on their blog and mine! Sometimes the colors in a background of a card are perfectly complimented by mixing two colors of Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends. I chose Lilac Luster and Peacock Pizzazz, two of the new sequin mixes released this month and available here at White Rose Crafts LLC.  Just look at how pretty these mixes are:

I created this card using the Glazed Distress Oxide Technique in my YouTube video you can watch here. I spritzed Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks with water and laid a piece of Ranger Alcohol Ink glossy cardstock in them, drying between each layer with a heat gun. When I was happy with the layered background, I applied Ranger Distress Micro Glaze to brighten and show each layer beautifully as I learned how to do from videos by Jennifer McGuire and Tim Holtz. I die cut the stitched square “So Very Kind” using a die from Lil’Inker and then created the shaker box with pretty sequins from the new Lilac Luster and Peacock Pizzazz Sparkle Blends. I added some stitched butterflies cut with a die set also from Lil’ Inker and added some pretty sequins to them to finish the card.

I am entering this card in the "Frame It" challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
