More Triple Twist Impossible Cards for 1 Year YouTube Anniversary Celebration!

I am celebrating my one year anniversary of making and sharing cardmaking videos on my YouTube channel with a huge giveaway valued at almost $200! I learned how to make a Triple Twist Impossible card watching this video and my versions feature the CAS-ual Fridays Tutu stamps and matching dies. CASED Thankful cards With New SU Products

Once in awhile I see a card on Internetland that inspires me so much that I have to immediately buy the products used in the card and then make a card similar to one that blew me away. Here is a link to the blogpost and video I watched to make these subtle and gorgeous cards. The Stampin' Up products used are the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder and the Springtime Impressions large floral die. I also added a "thankful" sentiment cut with a Gina K Designs die to my cards. Here is the teal version the card as well as a close up that shows the lovely subtle dimension of the embossing:

I love the subtle texture of that embossing folder and am happy I saw Jackie's cards with it or I would not have purchased it. I CASED her tone on tone color schemes and added some monochromatic gems and pearls to complete my thankful cards.

Upsy Daisy Pop Up Card for my Adorable Grandson

Today I am sharing the second card I showed in my new YouTube video featuring Karen Burniston's Upsy Daisy die. My two year old grandson loves trucks of all kinds and knows the difference between a dump truck and a bulldozer, etc. So when I saw a set of dies from Spellbinders with three different trucks I just had to get it and make a card for him. I played one day with the fingernail polish technique where you dump fingernail polish in a tub of water, then lay pieces of watercolor paper in it to grab the mixed up colors and let dry. It is messy and smelly, but does create very vibrant colorful backgrounds perfect for kids cards. I die cut the word "vroom" out using Karen's new chunky Alphabet die set, raised it on foam and attached back on the colorful background. I die cut one of the trucks out of green cardstock and black foam and attached that to the front. Here is another view of the dimension and bright colors of the front of the card:

But Evan is going to love it even more when he opens the card and the Upsy Daisy die pops up three more trucks! 

I die cut three trucks and another VROOM out of the fingernail polish backgrounds and followed Karen's instructions attaching the three scalloped squares to the apparatus and each other. I added Evan's name to the top of the card. I think maybe I will bring this card when we go visit them in August so I can see his sweet face when he opens it. Here is a peak at that sweet face:

Video: Karen Burniston Upsy Daisy Cards for Any Celebration

I make Christmas cards all year round and share how to make this one in my newest video here. The front is lovely with Memory Box's Stitched Circle die over a sunrise scene created with Distress Oxides, Versamark ink and glitter embossing powder. The wish for peace was created with a die from Quietfire Design. But as with all cards I make with Karen Burniston's dies, the real fun happens when the card is opened: 

It is easier to see in the video how the Upsy Daisy die set works to pop up both sides of the center. I die cut two squares using a stitched snowflake die from Poppy Stamps and attached those to sparkly blue cardstock squares. The center circle features another beautiful word die from Suzanne Cannon and Quietfire Designs and is held up with a strip of strong acetate. I stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts and added a large stitched snowflake die cut from Memory Box to the top. The center pieces fold down to mail and pop up when the card is opened.

Doodles Paper Playground Peacock Pizzazz Foiled Alcohol Ink Card

 I recently had a play session with alcohol inks and gold Deco Foil and then I made a card with favorite new dies and the finishing touch of a new Sparkle Blend sequin mix called Peacock Pizzazz from Doodles Paper Playground. I love how this card turned out! 

I started by applying several aqua blue colors of alcohol ink onto Yupo paper quite heavily so there were areas that remained sticky after drying a little while. To those sticky areas, I rubbed on gold Deco Foil and the result is the gold marbling you see. Here is another look:

I die cut Jeanine's Art Floral Hexagon die out of the piece and attached that to a square white card base. I die cut "HI" using Kat Scrappiness Condensed Uppercase Alphabet out of the center of the diecut and then created a shaker with acetate and the beautiful Peacock Pizzazz Sparkle Blend sequin mix from Doodles Paper Playground.

Hello Sweet Summer with Dies from Karen Burniston's New Release Video

Today I am sharing the second card I show in my newest YouTube video that features the Circle Charm Pop Up Die from Karen Burniston's recent release.  This is the front and shows a pivoting circle with a Circle Crosshatch die, flip flops charm and "hello" from other sets in this Karen Burniston release. But as in all cards I make with Karen's dies, the real fun happens when the recipient opens the card:

The die set creates a pivoting front circle that attaches to a center circle with a hanging ice cream cone charm and the back has another Crosshatch Circle with more sweet treats and the words "sweet, sweet summer." You can choose to attach the charms with a brad or jump ring as I have done and also to cut off the charm part and use them as I did for the popsicle and watermelon. Here is a closer look at the inside:

Video: Circle Charm Pop Up Cards with Karen Burniston and Birch Press Design

Today I have posted my 2nd video in my series featuring the new release of dies from Karen Burniston on my YouTube channel. The cards I show in the video are made with Karen's new Circle Charm Pop Up Die and a new die set from Birch Press Designs called Kaleidoscope Layers A, B and C. The front is pretty with the Kaleidoscope flower and die cut words from Memory Box and Karen Burniston, but wait to you see the inside!

You can see the card better in the video as well as how easy it is to make this pop up floating circle and pivoting front circle with the dies in this set. I am loving the layered floral die set from Birch Press Designs and show how easy it is to layer the three colors of purple to make both of these floral circle images. "Blooming Good Day" Card with Tonic Studios Cardmaking Kit #5

Today I am sharing the 3rd card I made recently with the dies and stamps I received for free with Issue 5 of the Tonic Studios Craft Essentials Series Magazine from the Coupons, Sales and Bargains section at Scrapbook.com. Unfortunately this issue is sold out, but I am keeping my eyes open for the next one. This issue cost only $19.99 and included two large die sets, an embossing folder, a floral stamp set and lots of papers in addition to the magazine full of great ideas! I die cut the Floral Cuff die out of pink and black and layered them on a white square cardbase. I die cut some flowers, embossed them with the floral embossing folder, sponged them pink and added some black gems. I stamped the vase and flowers and paper pieced the flowers in a pink dp and the vase in a silver dp. 

On the inside of the card I added a "With Love" die cut with another of the lovely dies from this kit.

Thanks a Bunch Tonic Studios Cardmaking Kit Issue 5 Card

Today I am sharing a second card I made with the dies and stamps in the Tonic Studios Cardmaking kit that I found in the Bargains and Coupons section at Scrapbook.com a while back. There are always great sales and promotions there but this kit is now sold out as I explained yesterday. I cut the Floral Cuff die set from the kit out of a white card front, rounded the corners and layered it on a blue cardbase. The flowers were die cut from a sheet of Alcohol Ink cardstock that I colored with several colors of Distress Oxide inks and then applied Distress Glaze to as I show how to do in this YouTube video. I stamped the sentiment(from the kit) and die cut another flower and added some pearls to complete the card.

Tonic Studios Cardmaking Collection Issue 5 Cards

I often shop at Scrapbook.com and when I am at their website looking at all the fantastic crafty goodies, I always check out their Coupons and Featured Deals and Sales page. They always have great sales and a while back I found an unbelievable bargain there. They had the Tonic Studios Cardmaking Collection magazine with over $70 worth of free dies, embossing folders and stamps included for only $19.99! Before you rush off to check it out, I am sorry to say these kits are limited edition and this one has sold out. I am going to keep my eyes open for the next one and recommend you do the same. One of the  dies included in this kit and magazine alone is worth the $19.99, and the kit contained two large die sets, an embossing folder, a set of stamps and a bunch of paper along with a magazine full of ideas! I created three cards with the dies and stamps from this bargain kit and will be sharing them this week here on my blog.

My first card above features the "With Love" die set from the kit cut in white and layered on a brown rose specialty cardstock also from Tonic Studios. I die cut some of the flowers in the kit out of peach Formiran, sponged on a darker peach ink and heated with my heat gun to create the dimension in the flowers. I added some pretty antique brads to the larger flowers and some Nuvo Copper Penny Crystal Drops to the smaller flowers.

Video: Love You S'more Pop Up Surprise Card

In a new video I posted today, I am sharing how to make this "Love You S'more" card with a fun pop up surprise in the inside of the card using many dies from the Spring Release at Karen Burniston's website. I love interactive pop up cards and this card was so fun and easy to make using Karen's new dies. I also love s'mores and so does my grandson so I know he is going to love this card! The card front was created with kraft cardstock cut out with the largest of the new Rectangle Crosshatch dies. I added a s'more and marshmallow on a stick from several others of the new dies and "love you" layered using a new die set from Honey Bee Stamps. 

As usual when I make a card with Karen Burniston's dies, the best part is opening the card and seeing the surprise pop ups on the inside. I show how I created this tent and campfire pop up in the new video and you will see it is not hard to do at all. Here's another look at the tent and campfire close up:

I die cut the SMORE using the new Alphabet Die Set which is a perfect size - not too big or small and great for eclipse cards too. I added a crosshatch rectangle to sign the card and another marshmallow ready to roast on the fire. The card folds flat to mail easily and is sure to delight the recipient with its pop up camping scene.
