Video - Deep Impressions Embossing Technique For All Occasions

One of my favorite techniques of all time is Deep Impressions embossing and I learned how to do it from Fran Seiford of Stampendous. The technique requires using a heat source from under the chipboard piece such as an electric griddle and I recently figured out how to do that so that you can see the process in a video. I had so much fun I made many cards for all occasions and share them in my newest video here and will show many this week on my blog. 

This is my favorite of the cards I made with this fun technique. Just look at the texture on that ornament! The ornament dies are from Spellbinders and I used Seth Apter and Stampendous embossing powders on the chipboard ornament before stamping with an old words background stamp from Stampin' Up. Here is a close up of the gorgeous deeply textured ornament and the inside of the card showing the partial die cut front:

I just love how this card turned out! Here is another of my favorite cards that I made with the Deep Impressions technique:

I love the sentiment on this card which is a die cut from Ellen Hutson and is so uplifting. I die cut an older feather die from Quik Cutz and placed a Clear Views transparency behind the opening. The chipboard feather was created with Stampendous Aged Ivory and Seasonings embossing powder and some brown glitter from Tonic Studios and was stamped with a postage stamp background from Fun Stampers Journey.
