Doodles Paper Playground October Release Blog Hop


I am happy to be participating in the October Doodles Paper Playground Sparkle Blends blog hop featuring the new Sparkle Blends just released and available here at White Rose Crafts. Here is a link to the Doodles Paper Playground where the complete list of hoppers and all the details regarding the blog hop.

Of course there is are prizes to be won by hopping and commenting! For one of two chances to win a full set of all 6 sample packs from this release, please leave comments on each leg of the hop, including one idea of how you would use one of the Sparkle Blends used in that blog post.


My first card features the new Sparkle Blend called Frozen and here is a picture showing all the fun sequins in this mix:


I recently received the new Gina K Designs/Therm O Web "Baby It's Cold Outside" Stamps, Foil-Mates and Dies and created this snowy card with them. On the front, I die cut snowflake openings with the new dies and filled them with the Frozen Sparkle Blend mix. I foiled the front Blizzard GKD/Therm O Web Foil-mate with strips of Sparkling Silver and Brilliant Blue Fancy Foils and IRL it is very sparkly. I also added some stamped and foiled snowflakes and a sentiment to the inside using the Baby It's Cold Outside stamps and dies:



My second card features the new Candy Cane Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground and more sparkly Therm O Web foil. Here is a look at the card "all shook up":
I foiled a Pinstripes Clear Designer Toner Sheet from Therm O Web with Gina K Designs Sparkly Red Fancy Foil and layered it on a white cardfront. I die cut an oval out of both and replaced the clear striped acetate in the oval before filling the shaker piece with the Candy Cane Sparkle Blend mix. The striped Designer Toner Sheet is clear acetate with stripes of toner, so I covered up the shaker well with an oval frame cut with Lil' Inker stitched oval dies. I layered two shades of green together on the Merry Christmas sentiment from Tonic Studios, and added some red and green gems from Gina Marie Designs. Here is a look at the inside with oval die pieces from the front and a pretty Gina K. Designs stamped sentiment:

    Awesome cards! My favorite blend is the Candy Cane mix.... I'd make some shaker cards using it along with some adorable candy cane paper I just bought!

    These are sooo fun! I love how you did the candy cane stripe paper with the candy cane mix! Maybe attach to a box of candy canes as a fun gift for the kiddos!

    The red color in the candy cane mix is very rich looking. I would make a card using my candy can die with this mix.
