Video: Napkin Techniques Made Easy with a Minc

I recently bought a Heidi Swapp Minc Mini and am loving how well it foils but also how easily it attachs napkins to cardstock for gorgeous cards! Remember using an iron and how time consuming and frustrating that could get? Once through the Minc machine and the napkin holds tightly to the cardstock with cling wrap and I show that technique in my newest video here.  Here is a peak at the inside of this lovely thank you card that I show step by step how to make in the video:

I also show several ways to add glitter to your napkin cards and these are the cards I made with those techniques:

It is so hard to show the sparkle of the glitter in still pictures, so be sure to click here and watch the video for all the details and in the description box are links to all the products used.

I am entering the last card in the birthday challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Anything Goes 4 Kids OR For Moms From the Kids at Send a Smile 4 Kids!

It’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! This year, all challenges at SAS4Kids are Anything Goes 4 Kids! We will usually have an alternative theme that you can choose to follow, but are not required to. Create and link any card that is appropriate for a child and your card could be chosen as one of our top three cards and you could join us as a guest dt member on a future challenge.

The theme for this challenge is: Anything Goes 4 Kids OR For Moms From the Kids!  We would love for each kid in our many hospitals who is inpatient on Mother’s Day to be able to pick a card or two for their Mother or Grandmother or other special females in their lives. It is not required that you send in your card if you enter our challenges, but our kids would sure love it if you did!

I created a card for a special Mom using new stamps and dies from Stampendous. The background is a pretty floral napkin and I share how to do that easily in a new video Monday April 9th. I stamped and die cut out the Stampendous Cling Fresh Peony stamp out of one napkin piece and after gluing it to a black foam peony, I attached it back on the floral napkin card front. I also die cut a stitched oval from the napkin piece and stamped Mom using alphabet stamps from Concord and 9th. I also raised that on black foam before attaching and then I added some pink jewels to complete my Mother’s Day card.

I am entering this card in the April Link Party at CropStop.  Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

Stampendous Week Continues with Two More Cards (and a Chance to Win!)

Today I am sharing two more cards I made with the new stamps I received from Stampendous recently. I love this Coffee Friend Curio Stamp and created this card before displaying the pretty curio in my stamp room. Stampendous Curio Stamps are both high quality rubbber stamps and pretty gifts for any crafty person you know- including yourself! If you would like to win two Curio stamps and a Stampendous background stamp and the card I shared Monday, watch, share and comment here.

My first card today was fun to make for a dear coffee loving friend. I sprayed the kraft cardstock background with the new Tim Holtz Distress Resist Spray and then when it was dry, distressed the edges and sponged on Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I paper pieced the Coffee Friend Curio stamped image and attached with pop dots to raise, and stamped the sentiments from the Stampendous Brushed Wishes set. Here is the surprise on the inside of the card:

I created a gift card holder with Stampendous dies and stamps and inserted a Starbucks gift card.

When I was playing with my new Tim Holtz Distress Resist Sprays I created this sunshine background too using glossy paper and a Tim Holtz stencil. I sponged on yellow ink and stamped the perfect sentiment from Stampendous using a stamp platform. The pretty flower is the Cling Coneflower die with a matching die from Stampendous. I stamped it several times and raised each layer with mounting tape. I added some Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops to the center of the flower.

I want to thank Stampendous for the wonderful stamps and dies I received to create all the cards and gift boxes I shared this week, as well as the extra stamps I can give away to one lucky subscriber here on my YouTube channel.  It could be you!

I am entering the first card in the birthday challenge at Simon says Stamp Wednesday and the April Link Party at CropStop. Thanks for helping me #share the joy of creativity!

Another Stampendous Curio Rubber Stamp Gift Box

I have been having so much fun designing with the Stampendous Curio Stamps and am sharing another easy to make gift box I created. I showed this box and several other projects with these fun Stampendous stamps which are a combination of a gift or curio and a high quality rubber stamp in my newest video. I received two of each so I could create with and display mine, and share the other with some crafty friends- maybe you? Watch the video here to find out how you could win two of the Curio stamps, a Stampendous background stamp and the card I shared yesterday here on my blog.

The box was made with two patterned cardstock pieces. The top was cut 7 1/4" square and scored at 1 3/4" on all sides. One of the scored lines on each side is cut up to the other scored lines (to see that in a video, watch here and if you want to skip right to the gift box info, go to minute 18:15 on the video.) The bottom was cut 7 1/2" square and scored at the 2 inch line on all sides, then cut up to the scored lines one on each side. In the video, I show how to cut those and put the box together- it is really easy to create a box any size you want using this method and the sides fold and attach very easily. I stamped the Tweet One Curio Stamp and colored her with a Ranger Blending Tool and inks. I cut her out and stood her up on the top of the box with a little folded piece of cardstock. The Happy Birthday and the stitched rectangle die are from the Stampendous Cling Fresh Peony set of stamps and matching dies.

I am loving all the stamps and dies from Stampendous I am sharing this week on my blog and in my newest video here and hope you check them out on their website soon.

I am entering this project in the Birthday challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

I had a fantastic birthday/Easter weekend celebrating with my super cute grandsons, my kids and my favorite birthday cake (angel food with chocolate whip cream frosting- num!)

Now that March is done I am announcing the three winners of my March contests here and on my YouTube channel. I put all the names from all of the comments in three bowls and had my husband mix them and then draw a slip. And here are the three winners and their comments:

WINNER OF THE PRIZE FROM MOTION CRAFTS FROM THEIR BLOG HOP ON MY BLOG POST HERE

Your cards are DARLING!!!! These stamp sets & die might just be a must for my stash!

WINNER OF THE PRIZE FROM MOTION CRAFTS OF TWO STAMP SETS AND A ANIMATION GRID DIE FROM MY YOUTUBE VIDEO HERE

WINNER OF THE GRAND PRIZE FROM MY CELEBRATE MARCH GIVEAWAY ON MY BLOG AND YOUTUBE VALUED AT $160+ AND PICTURED HERE:

Sue Abell!! She left this comment:
Wow, what a awesome & generous giveaway! So sweet of you. Thanks for the chance. I’m in the US and I subscribed from the “Save the Crafty YouTuber” hop. I’ve been enjoying some of your past videos along with the current ones too. I figured it must be your birthday month too if it’s your twin’s but then I thought maybe you were born on Feb. 28 (or 29?) and he was born on March 1st! LOL! It does happen!

I shared with Sue and will tell you too: I was almost an April Fool's baby. My twin brother was born first on March 31st and my parents did not know a second baby was on the way too! Two hours later I was born - big surprise, but still on the 31st. I like to say it is my twin's birthday as he is getting older but I am not:)

Congrats to the winners!  You can email me at khasheck @ gmail dot com with your address so I can get your winnings in the mail to you. I will need to hear from you with your mailing address before the deadline of 4/18/18.

Thanks for all the lovely comments and new followers here and on my YouTube channel. The winning chances continue there this week because Stampendous gave me some extra stamps that I am giving away here on this week's video, so be sure to leave a comment there too.

Thanks for watching, sharing, commenting and subscribing and thanks, too, for helping me #share the joy of creativity!

Video: Stampendous Curio Stamps Perfect for Gifts for You and Your Crafty Friends

I recently discovered Curio Rubber Stamps by Stampendous and have had a great time crafting with them for the video I am sharing on my YouTube channel here.  I created a gift bag and a card with the Butterfly Stretch Curio Rubber Stamp and you could win that stamp and several others in a giveaway after watching the video. Here is another look at the bag and matching card that I share in the video:

Stampendous Curio Stamps are a combination of a curio you can display or give as a gift and a high quality rubber stamp. I also used some gorgeous background stamps from Stampendous on the card and gift purse and you can see all of them in the video here. Plus you can win two of the curio stamps and one of the background stamps and the card I made with the Butterfly Stretch Curio Stamp just by commenting on the video and earn another chance by sharing it. For all the details, visit my YouTube channel here.

Peek A Boo Double Slider Card with Motion Crafts Dies and Stamps

**If you are here for the Motion Crafts Blog Hop, check out this card I also made and then click here to go to my Blog Hop blog post for a chance to win and for the next link**

All week long I have been sharing cards I made with the newest stamps and dies release at Motion Crafts by Uchi's Design. I just received the brand new Double Slider Die and watched this video to find out how to make a card with it. Then I made this peek a boo card for my grandson who loves playing peek a boo. Look what happens when the two "pull here" tabs are pulled:

The little animated bear moves up and down playing peek a boo and the heart changes to LOVE! I also used the bee and heart flower stamps and dies from the Be Happy Stamp and Die Set and the LOVE you is from the Vertical Butterfly Set all by Motion Crafts.

I did not have this card done in time for this week's video, but to see more Motion Crafts cards and how they actually move, click here. I am going to do a video soon showing how to make more cards with this fun double slider die.

If you watch my newest video and read this blogpost, you will also see where this week you have two opportunities to win dies and stamps from Motion Crafts and my Celebrate March Grand Prize will be given away this week as well. All of these contests close March 31st, so hurry and check them out. (Pix on the right side of the blog for the Grand Prize drawing opportunity.)
