Inexpensive Designer Paper Hack for Gorgeous Fall Colored Cards

Would you like to make gorgeous fall colored cards with something that can be bought at the Dollar Store or other local stores inexpensively instead of expensive designer paper? This time of year it is easy to find beautiful napkins for fall or the holidays and my new video shows how to make those napkins into beautiful cards.
This is the card I make in the video but I also show 7 other fall cards all with different napkins and favorite dies. I love this bright napkin and I die cut "blessed" out using a layered die from Tonic Studios and raised it for the "eclipse" look. The sentiment below that and the sentiment strip die are from Taylored Expressions.

This is another favorite of the napkin cards I made for this video. I found the Shenadoah Quilt Pattern on Pinterest and cut this gorgeous cornucopia napkin scene in that pattern. I figured out the measurements for the Shenadoah pattern on this square card and here is my template you can pin or save if you want to try it:

To see all the cards I made with napkins and how I made the first one in this blog post, watch the video here. Thanks for your visit today and for your support of my YouTube channel too.

Colorful Foiled Fall Cards with Therm O Web Designer Toner Sheets

I love making cards with foil and also love fall colors so I made many cards for my newest video with Deco Foils and Designer Toner Sheets. My favorite thing to do with Designer Toner Sheets is to foil them with sparkly Fancy Foils and then run the left over foil through the MINC again with a toner sheet for the "negative" as you see framing this pretty Wilderness DTS card. I also use that second foiling sheet for die cutting as in the inside of this card:

Here is another pretty card made with the positive and negative foiled applications of the Wheat Fields Designer Toner Sheet. The foiled pieces are perfect for adding die cut accents to cards as I did on this last card:

I sponged fall colors on a the Maple Leaf Frame from Tutti Designs and die cut Thank You from Karen Burniston and punched a leaf out of the negative of an Endless Leaves DTS with Brutus Monroe Sunrise Foil.

I had so much fun making all these cards with Deco Foil and Designer Toner Sheets for my newest video! I hope you will watch it here and try some of these products for fun fall cards!

More Fall Foiled Cards with Designer Toner Sheets

The Cobwebs and Cauldrons Designer Toner Sheet from Deco Foil foiled with Dazzling Orange Fancy Foil from Gina K Designs is perfect for making a shaker card like this one I share in my newest video here. I cut a witch hat from Tonic Studios and created a well for the shaker elements under the acetate sheet. The broom is also from Tonic Studios as is the witch shoe and sentiment on the inside:

I used a precut and scored fun fold card from The Paper Cut as well as Wilderness Designer Toner Sheet die cuts on this pretty fall celebration card.

The fall window die is from Tutti Designs, the acorn swirl is from Tonic Studios and the Celebrate sentiment die is from Karen Burniston. To see this and many other cards made with fun fall foils, watch the new video here.

Video - Fall Foiled Fun With Deco Foil Designer Toner Sheets

Have you tried Clear Designer Toner Sheets from Deco Foil and Therm O Web yet? I discovered them last year and received most of them, but the fall and Halloween ones came just a bit late for my fall designing last year. I made a note to pull them out in time this year and am sharing many cards I made with them in my newest video here.

This is the card I make in the video but I also share many other cards made with my favorite foils and Designer Toner Sheets as well as many favorite dies. Designer Toner Sheets from Deco Foil (such as these Wheat Fields sheets) are sheets of acetate with patterns on them made out of toner, so when they are run through a laminator or MINC the foil (Glimmering Gold from Gina K Designs) transfers to the sheet as you can see on the leaves on the card above. Then as I show in the video, the foil left over after that step can be laid on a piece of Deco Foil Toner Sheet and run through again for the look as you see on the other die cut pieces of this card. I placed some of the double foiled beauty  under the Poppy Stamps trailing leaves and cut out the circular sentiment with a die from Impression Obsession.

This is another version of that card with different colors and a sentiment die from Creative Expressions.

Last week I shared how to make ferris wheel cards in my video here and most of them were made with acetate circles that turn for the ferris wheel. Designer Toner Sheets are pieces of acetate with patterns on them that can be foiled so they are perfect for ferris wheel cards! I used the Cobwebs and Cauldrons Designer Toner Sheet and Dazzling Orange Fancy Foil from Gina K Designs and Therm O Web to make this fun Halloween ferris wheel card.

The Happy Halloween, ghost and bat dies are from Karen Burniston and the spiders are from Memory Box. Here is a peak at the inside of this card:

I added a "Spooky" sentiment from Tonic Studios and another spider and bat. I am entering this card in the Interactive challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

More CAS Gorgeous Cards with Alexandra Renke's Cardstock

I used every scrap of the packet of Alexandra Renke floral cardstock we received at her class at JunkieFest this summer and am sharing all the cards yesterday and today on my blog. I cut the large flower out and popped it up, added some Gina Marie Designs gems and stamped "Welcome" from a AR stamp set we also received in the class.

On this Thinking of You card there are more cut out and punched out butterflies, GMD gems and my favorite sentiment die from Creative Expressions.

My last A2 sized card for the matching gift box (shared yesterday) is another simple floral and butterfly adorned card that the gift recipient could use for sympathy, birthday or any reason.

I did make one extra card that is not A2 sized but once again could be used for any occasion or reason and is full of AR flowers and butterflies and GMD gems.

Cards and Gift Box with Alexandra Renke's Gorgeous Patterned Cardstock

Earlier in the summer, I had the great privilege of meeting and taking a class with Alexandra Renke at JunkieFest and we received a pack of her gorgeous floral designer cardstock. It is so pretty it was hard to cut it to make cards with it, but I did make a gift box and set of cards and am sharing them today and tomorrow on my blog. Alexandra Renke papers are hard to find in the USA, but Ellen Hutson has them here.

My first card is a simple "thinking of you" card with vellum over the yellow floral cardstock and a few butterflies cut out of the AR cardstock. I have used my favorite gems from Gina Marie Designs on almost all the cards and this sentiment die is from Creative Expressions.

The gift box was also made with the yellow AR cardstock, more cut out butterflies and GMD gems and an Impression Obsession sentiment die. I will be posting a video sometime soon with directions on how to make a box for a gift of A2 sized cards.

On this card I stamped with an Alexandra Renke stamp and added a butterfly cut with an AR die both of which we also received in the class.

And on this thank you card I added more butterflies cut out of the AR paper scraps and a Thank You cut with a Karen Burniston die. The Alexandra Renke cardstock is so beautiful, it is easy to make lovely cards with it in no time at all.

Christmas Wishes Version of Ferris Wheel Card

In my newest video here, I show several versions of the Ferris Wheel card and most use a large acetate circle for the ferris wheel. In this Christmas version, I show how pretty it is to make one out of Tonic Studios Craft Perfect Silky Sky Mirror Card and Luxury Embossed Silver Card. The layered snowflake in the center of this card is the Issa Snowflake from Birch Press Designs. The snowflakes around the circle are from Bright Rosa and Lawn Fawn, and the sentiment is from Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions. Here is another view and the inside of the card:

Inside are my Christmas wishes for you- Peace, Love and Joy from Penny Black and the silver ornament (Spellbinders) covers up the brad used when the ferris wheel is turned. When I pulled these cards out to complete the blog posts, I noticed they didn't want to stand up because the front is heavier than the cut down inside piece, so  I added an extra triangular piece to each and now they stand up just fine.

To see how easy and fun it is to make these ferris wheel cards, come watch the video here.

Video - Ferris Wheel Cards For Christmas and Birthday Wishes

My favorite new fun fold interactive card is the Ferris Wheel card that I learned how to make from Sam of Mixed Up Crafts, and in this week's video here I am sharing two more versions I made for different occasions. To see the original tutorial, click this link.

I added a floral shaker to the center of this birthday ferris wheel card and when the ferris wheel is turned, the shaker elements move inside the shaker piece from Jillibean.

I am loving the new Mystical Leaves Sprinkles from Kat Scrappiness and I glued a few of those on the top and around the shaker piece in addition to the ones in the center with a sequin mix. The stitched flowers are from Poppy Stamps and the stitched butterfly dies are from Lil' Inker Designs. The circular Happy Birthday die is from My Favorite Things. The die I used to cut the acetate circle large enough is no longer available, but I recommend the huge selection of XXL dies in many shapes and styles at Crealies here. Here is a look at the card down and the shaker pieces "all shook up":

I love how this card turned out and share several more Ferris Wheel cards and how easy they are to make in my new video here.  Thanks for your visit here today and for watching, sharing and subscribing to my YouTube channel. I show two Thanksgiving table projects in my video and this is a ferris wheel card that could be used for a table decoration. (To find out how to make a ferris wheel card, just stop back next Monday for a new video and a link to the original tutorial.)

The acetate circle spins like a ferris wheel and is easy and fun to make. The stitched leaves dies are from Impression Obsession and the sentiment from Karen Burniston.

Just look at the gorgeous fall colored trees and leaves on this place card for our Thanksgiving table. In the video I show how easy it is to line up these Kitchen Sink Stamps for this gorgeous and realistic fall tree and leaf. The name was stamped with Concord & 9th's Sophisicated Alphabet stamps. Trees for All Seasons with Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi-step Layering Stamps

My favorite of all the Kitchen Sink Stamps trees sets I own is the Multi-step Trees Set and I show in two videos this week how it can be used for gorgeous trees for all seasons. I made this diamond shaped easel card for a spring birthday with several shades of pink for a lovely flowering tree. I learned how to make this type of easel card in a tutorial here by Dawn Griffith. Here are a few more pictures of this unique fun fold birthday card:

The "Hello My Crafty Friend" is a new die from Kat Scrappiness and Happy Birthday is from Karen Burniston.

The Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi-Step Trees image is also gorgeous in shades of green as this card shows. The card base and the layers of the tree and sky image were cut with my Bright Rosa Hexagon Die Set.

I raised each layer a little higher as you can see in this picture. For more information on how easy it is to use Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi Step stamps, be sure to watch the video here. And to see this tree stamp set in gorgeous fall colors, be sure to stop back on Thursday for another video and more cards as part of the Craft Collabs My Favorite Fall Colors Video Hop!
