August Class Cards

In the classes I taught at Harts n Scraps in Rothschild WI last week I featured Spellbinders and Hero Arts dies and stencils as well as a Stage Pop Up die from Karen Burniston. Here are the cards I taught:

Karen Burniston Cascade Pop-up Brunch and Pasta

Breakfast is my favorite meal to go out for, and I love a great eggs, bacon and toast meal! I made this card front with new breakfast dies, stamps and a crosshatch square from Karen Burniston. I also used a new embossing folder from Altenew called Ribbon Waves and my favorite copper cardstock from CutCardstock.

But just look at what happens when the card is opened! The pop up waffle-licious scene was created with Karen Burniston's Cascade Pop-up as well as her new Mealtime Elements and Mealtime Phrases stamp set. Here is another mealtime card I created with these same dies and stamps:

I CASED (copied and selectively edited) the napkins border from Sue Small-Kreider of Karen Burniston's design team. The salad was created with leaf dies from a KB tree pop up die set and  the wine glass is from her Wine Charms.

It is hard to show the amazing pop up motion of this Cascade Pop-up in still pictures, so here is a reel I made to show that:

Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month Trick or Treat

Spellbinders was thinking ahead with the new August Stitching Die of the Month, and now I have an adorable Halloween card done for one of my grandsons. The bandages on this mummy can be stitched or not, and I decided to simply ink them a little and glue onto another layer. Everything you see here is part of this set and in very little time I was able to finish this spooky card.

Favorite Die from the New Karen Burniston Release

As soon as Karen Burniston dropped her video on how to use the new Cascade Pop Up die set I just had to try one. I had a feeling it would be my favorite of the new release and it is. Sooo many things you can do with it! My first card is a CASE from several design team members who used Karen's Poinsettia die on theirs. Pretty front but look at the inside!

Three levels of pop up magic! It is hard to catch that in a still photo, so here is a reel I filmed showing the card being opened and closed:

I know I am going to be making many more cards with this die set as soon as I have time to play, and will be teaching with it as well.
