My grandson visited us recently and had a blast playing with my Color Burst and Brusho Coloured Crystals. Anyone can make gorgeous backgrounds with these magical colored crystals and water. Here are the four backgrounds he made with both types of colored crystals:
When the pieces were dry, he made a card for Mom and for Dad using a new set from Stampin' Up I just had to buy because of the sentiment: "TRUTH - I love you more than grilled cheese." That statement is perfect for Nate because he really loves his grilled cheese- even had one named after him in a local restaurant! I showed Nate how to use the MISTI on his cards so even if the first time he stamped it was not perfect, he could stamp again in the exact same spot. Here he is with his cards and one of them close up:
He was very proud of the cards he made and excited to share them with Mom and Dad. I asked if he wanted to make two more with the other two backgrounds he made and he said he would share them with me to make the other two cards. So I made two cards to send to him in the mail, since he loves to get mail. He really liked the Crazy Birds from Tim Holtz, so I included one on one of the cards. Here they are:
I have another TRUTH for you and for Nate - the MISTI does not work right if you put your stamp on it upside down:) So even Grandmas are not perfect when it comes to card making. I decided to leave it just the way it is and put the truth in the inside of the card- it's OK if our cards are not perfect, he can see the truth even upside down.
I am entering Nate's card in the Kid's Summer Vacation challenge at Simon Says Stamp and in the Anything Goes challenge at Simply Papercraft.
