Altenew Kinetic Class Cards That Move!

I recently took a class from Altenew to learn how to make kinetic cards that move in different ways. I also received a box of new products to play with and learn along with the instructors. My first card combines a great sketch from one of the classes with a hidden movement that swings a cable car through the mountains.

The Mountain Peak was created with layering stencils from Altenew and I added some glitter paste to the last layer for some snow. The cable car is a new die from Altenew called Aerial Cable Car. I die cut a stitched cloud and added a new favorite stamped sentiment both from Karen Burniston.

I also received the Let's Scoot scooter made with Altenew's amazing Key Hole System so it was easy to figure out where each piece goes in what order. I created a Swinging Doors card with a die set from Hot off  the Press. I decorated the front and inside pieces with Concord & 9th Splash Stencil Pack. Here is another look at this card with the doors are swung open:

It is difficult to capture the movement in both of these cards in still pictures, so I created a reel showing that motion:

Hey Scarecrow Card With Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month

Isn't this scarecrow adorable? He is from the new Scarecrow Harvest Stitching Die of the Month from Spellbinders. I made a tent easel card held up with one of the sunflowers in the set. One thing I like about these die sets is you can choose to stitch or not. The unstitched holes simply add texture and interest like on the pockets and shirt. But the stitching on the jacket and hat was quick and easy to do and looks perfect for this friendly scarecrow. Did you get the pun with the sentiment? Hey - hay...

If you love this Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month and want it right away, you can visit the website here and join the monthly club. You have until the 27th of the month to sign up to receive this set and then look forward to getting a new stitching die set each month. But if you can’t commit to a monthly club right now, you can check the website after the 10th of next month to purchase. If not sold out, the monthly kit products are available to buy then. However, the cost is higher and shipping is not free.

I am a member of the Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month club, so each month this year I will share cards made with that month’s die set on this blog, on my Instagram and on my Facebook page.
