One More Scalloped Baby Card

One more scalloped baby card before I leave on another excellent weekend adventure. I am off work today (yeah!) and starting my wonderful weekend with stamping classes last night and at noon today at my local Stamp Shoppe. Heidi always has great ideas to show us. Then I am leaving for a three day stamping weekend at Nossers in Rhinelander. So much fun! But no time again to do alot of stamping or challenges here at home... Looking forward to no traveling for awhile after this fun weekend.

This card used 4 pastel pieces taped together and then embossed for the background. The baby elephant was cut out, embossed and placed on scalloped circle. I dotted the scallops to finish the look.

FTTC56 Scallop Baby Card

I use scallops alot in my cards so easy to find cards for this challenge on Flourishes Timeless Tuesday. I hope it is OK to link more than one card per challenge- new at this and assume it is...

This baby bib was made with nesties and a smaller embossing folder for the words and sanding. Punch a half circle on the top and add a ribbon and you have a cute bib for a card. With the bigger set of ovals you can make a stand alone bib card this way.

TFFC56 Scallops Challenge

The Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge this week is to use scallops in our cards. I do this often and so the next three days I will post cards for this challenge. This one uses some of my favorite stamps- the wood finish circle and the saying for a thank you. The circle stamp is cut out and placed in the inside of the card. The circle punch and scallop circle serve as a frame for that. Stamp the saying and add a flower and the card is done.

SSHP20 Clean and Simple

The Spotlight Diva challenge this week is "Clean it up"- keeping it CAS and no rough edges... I chose this card as it was easy but nice for a guy's card. The card is actually a nice light green (not a sunny day for this pix.) Layered, embossed with cuttlebug, added stamped circle and button and then punched a few holes in the corners.

Stamp Simply Challenge

The Stamp Simply Challenge this week is to make a sympathy card. This CAS card uses two different patterned papers and a cut out butterfly to say "You are in my thoughts" at this difficult time.

Grandma's Excellent Weekend

No card making this weekend but it was a great weekend of visiting and fun! We took my grandson to the Milwaukee Museum and this picture was taken in the butterfly exhibit which was my favorite part. We met my son and his fiance' and Great-Grandma there as well so it was a great day.

And today we went shopping and I found my dress for my son's wedding! So all in all a great weekend. Hope you had the same!

Stamp Club Challenge

I made this card with the materials our stamp club was given for this month's challenge. The beautiful wrinkled green paper, the plaid paper and the ribbon. The flower image is done using the "black magic" technique that I learned last month at our meeting. Stamp the solid image on black paper in white pigment ink. Let dry or heat dry. Color the image with colored pencils. Then highlight with white gel pen. Easy and a fun and effective way to add color to an image.

Off for the weekend to see my wonderful grandson and daughter and son-in-law. Hope your weekend is great too!
