Addicted to CAS and Clearly Inspired Challenges

CAS (Clean and Simple) is the theme this week at Clearly Inspired and at Addicted to CAS their challenge is to use Baubles. I made this CAS card recently using a Stampin' Up set that hadn't been inked up yet. I added some gems (or baubles) to the hanging gems stamp and put a row of liquid pearls on the punched black piece (ek success punch.) The card base is white and I like the color combo of black, pink and grey.

Raisin Boat and Sisterhood of Crafters Challenges

Thank You is the challenge at Raisin Boat Challenges this month and Embossing is the theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters.  I created this CAS thank you card a while back and it was sitting in the "never blogged" pile on my desk. I know the embossing folder border is from Stampin' Up, but cannot give credits for the stamps I used- sorry. But I masked, sponged in blue and a little yellow and stamped in black. Then I added the sentiment and the bird.

Winter Fun 4 Kids at Send a Smile 4 Kids!

It’s time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids and this time our theme is Winter Fun 4 Kids. Your cards can be holiday cards or any winter themed cards. We have three very generous sponsors this week: The Cutting CafĂ© is giving their winner 3 digis or cutting files of their choice! And Crackerbox Palace is giving their randomly picked winner a $15 Gift Certificate! Cuddly Buddly’s winner will receive a 5 pound Gift Certificate!  TEAM S.A.S will also be choosing their favorite cards for our top three and the winners will receive a blog badge and an opportunity to be a guest design team member on a future challenge. Please visit the blog to see all the great cards shared by the TEAM S.A.S. design team.

My first card above features a darling sliding snowman from Crackerbox Palace. I created a snowglobe shape for my card, did a little paper piecing and sponging, and added some snowflakes and a couple perfect sentiments also from Crackerbox Palace.

My second card features a mitten shape from a cutting file by The Cutting Cafe'. I love to make fun shaped cards and The Cutting Cafe's files make them so easy to do. I embossed the mitten shape and added a snowflake shape and a sentiment to complete the CAS card.

My last winter fun card for my kids is an easel card created with a darling freebie from Cuddly Buddly. I printed it twice and cut out and raised the twin skating bears with pop dots. The card is folded and stands up with a row of raised snowflakes punched out with my Martha Stewart snowflake border punch.

I am entering these cards in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp and the challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty for "more than one fold."

Simon Says Stamp and Creative Moments Challenges

Anything Goes at Simon Says Stamp and Creative Moments this week so I am sharing a sympathy card for someone who lost a pet that I made with a beautiful set from Raisin Boat. I made the bench just from looking at a similar bench on Pinterest and then added the lovely stamps from this set.

This is what the inside looks like. I like how you can bend acrylic stamps into fun shapes if you want something different than just straight.

Mr. Random has chosen and  the winner of last Thursday’s blog candy is                                             NanaConnie! Here is her winning comment from the CBP blog: I adore the pup in the stocking! How perfect for an animal lover at Christmas. That embossing in the background is superb!
NanaConnie, please send me or Crackerbox Palace your address and your choice of which stamps you want (see your options below), so we can get you the stamps you have won.
So would you like to win the stamps featured on today’s card or your choice of another CBP stamp? Here is how to win our weekly blog candy:

Vicky or Karen will post a card or two every Thursday on both blogs. All you need to do is to leave a comment on either blog and if you leave a comment on both blogs you will have a double chance to win. We hope you also want to 'follow' the blogs. The following Wednesday a name will be picked at random and the winner will receive:

What if? Wed. Sketch Challenge

It's time for another fun sketch challenge at The House that Stamps Built and we are challenging you to make a card using the sketch below and link it up for a chance at some great Repeat Impressions rubber! For all the details on what you can win and to see the other Rock Stars cards using this sketch, please visit our blog.

For my card, I stamped the beautiful Winter’s Eve stamp in navy and framed it with a Nestabilities square. I cut the banner piece from dp, attached it to a navy card and embossed the whole card with the holiday words from Cuttlebug.

Here is the sketch for you to follow when you create a card for our challenge. You do not need to use Repeat Impressions stamps to enter our challenges, but you get an extra chance to win if you do!

I am entering this card in the challenge at Eureka Stamps for Holiday Fun and the Christmas challenge at Lexi’s Creations.

The Squirrel and the Fox Challenge

Anything Goes at The Squirrel and the Fox Challenge this week and I am sharing another holiday card I made this year. I used some stickers from Penny Black, a stamp also by Penny Black and a new die by Impression Obsession. I added some red stickles to the stickers and a punched snowflake and pearl to complete the CAS card.
