Two More Birthday Cards with New Sizzix Dies and Metallic Marbled Adhesive Sheets

The new Sizzix Cutout Blossoms die by Tim Holtz and the gorgeous Sizzix Metallic Marble Adhesive Sheets as well as the cheerful Happy Birthday die from Karen Burniston combine to make an easy and lovely birthday card. This card is one of four cards I share in my newest video where I show how to stretch your supplies and crafty budget by making 4 cards with the same supplies.

There four colors of metallic marbled sheets in the Sizzix pack and I chose the purple one for this card. Just cutting out the negative of the Sizzix Cutout Blossom and adding the die cut Happy Birthday from Karen Burniston makes a lovely card front. And look at how fun the inside of this card is with more of those Cutout Blossoms:

I have shared cards made with Crealies Squash Fold Die Set on my blog and in videos, and recently I received an add on die for that set that makes an easy Twist and Pop card! I cut three more Cutout Blossoms and "Bloom" is a die from Penny Black. To see this card in action and the other 3 cards I made for this video, watch here

Video - Stretch Your Supplies Series - 4 Cards With New Sizzix Products

In this week's new video, I am continuing my series showing ways to stretch our cardmaking dollars by creating 4 cards with the same dies and products. In this video I am featuring the new Sizzix Cutout Blossoms dies by Tim Holtz and the new Sizzix Metallic Marble Adhesive Sheets. I also used my favorite cheerful Happy Birthday die from Karen Burniston on all the cards.

This is the card I make in the video and it is a fun fold card that I learned how to make in this blog post from Dawn Griffith. Isn't that metallic marbled cardstock gorgeous? And it is adhesive backed so it is easy to attach as well. The Sizzix Cut Out Blossom was die cut out of a dark green circle and attached over a yellow circle. Here is a look at how the card opens and the inside of the card:

The butterflies were punched and the Happy Birthday was die cut out of more of that lovely Sizzix Metallic Marbled cardstock. All the measurements for this fun fold card as well as other cards made with these products can be seen by watching my newest video here.

Cards 4 Boys OR Anything Goes 4 Kids at Send a Smile 4 Kids!

It’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! Again this year, all challenges at SAS4Kids are Anything Goes 4 Kids! We will often have an alternative theme that you can choose to follow, but are not required to. Create and link any card that is appropriate for a child and your card could be chosen as one of our top three cards and you could join us as a guest dt member on a future challenge. We are also changing to a monthly challenge so new challenges will be posted on the first Saturday of every month and you will have a whole month to make and link your cards.

The theme for this challenge is: Cards 4 Boys OR Anything Goes 4 Kids.

I made this card for a special young boy using some favorite new dies. On the front is a cute puppy made with Simon Says Stamp Big Picture Hugs and Puppy dies. The hearts and the “hugs” were die cut with dies from Karen Burniston.

The inside of this card pops out with a heart pivot panel, love sentiments and hearts all created with new dies from Karen Burniston.

Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

Dear Winter - I'm Breaking Up With You!

I am sooo tired of this winter- it has been much worse than most in my entire life and I live in Wisconsin so should be used to bad winters! At least this funny Sarcasti-Chick and sentiment from Taylored Expressions makes me smile. "Dear Winter, I'm breaking up with you. Summer is much HOTTER than you!" I created this floating easel card and die cut snowflakes in the acetate using a Kat Scrappiness stitched snowflake background die. The beautiful layered Issa snowflakes on the front and inside are from Birch Press Designs. Here is a look at the card with the easel top down to mail:

Isn't that Sarcasti-Chick from Taylored Expressions cute all bundled up in her winter jacket and hat I paper pieced? I am packing now for a little vacation in a place where I should not need my winter jacket or mittens - can't wait!!

This is the third card I shared in my newest Die Cut Crazy video which features cards for special females. I hope you will watch it here. Thanks for your visit here and for watching, subscribing, commenting and for helping me #share the joy of creativity!

More Die Cut Crazy - Card In a Box For a Wine Loving Female Friend

I love cards in a box and especially the larger ones like I made here for my newest video in my Die Cut Crazy series - Feminine Cards with Dies.

I created this card in a box using a die from Crealies. I know there are templates available to make larger cards in a box without a die, but I love how easy this die makes it and the rounded scalloped edges of each side. The "cheers", large wine glass and perfect stamped sentiments are from My Favorite Things. The martini and smaller wine glass dies are from My Creative Time. Celebrate and the champagne glasses are by Tonic Studios, and the purple and pink mirror cardstock is also from Tonic.

The Happy Birthday die is by Memory Box and the purple woodgrain cardstock is from Park Lane at Joann Fabrics.

Video - Die Cut Crazy Series - Feminine Cards With Dies

We all know females who love flowers and butterflies, sarcasm or wine, right? Or maybe all of the above. In my newest video, I am sharing three cards for special females with dies from many of my favorite companies. Each of them have a special fun fold or pop up feature as well.

This is the card I make in the video and the front features gorgeous wide washi tape from Altenew die cut with a lovely edger die from Creative Expressions called Hollyhock Edger. I sponged blue distress ink on a butterfly from BoBunny and added a gem. But the real fun happens when the card is opened:

I used the Squash Fold die from Crealies and more washi tape covered cardstock to create this fun pop up center. I added a "happy birthday to you"  and a crosshatch oval for the signature from Karen Burniston.

This card is so easy to make as I show in the video along with two other fun feminine cards made with dies.

More Amazing Cards with Concord & 9th Turnabout Stencils

I had so much fun playing with the turnabout stencils from Concord & 9th, I made two more cards with the floral stencil. It is soooo easy to create lovely colorful images with these stencils! I chose spring colors again for this flower and punched a butterfly out of the stenciled paper too.

I am a huge fan of foiling so on my last card I applied Therm O Web's Transfer gel on the last floral stencil layer as well as on the words which are part of this stencil from Concord & 9th. After it was dry, I laid some sparkly gold foil from Gina K Designs and Therm O Web on it and ran it through my Minc for the amazing shine you see. As I almost always do, I didn't waste any of the glorious color and sparkle, and punched a butterfly to add to the card.
