Video - Special Cards for Dads and Grads with New Karen Burniston Dies

I am having so much fun with the new dies from Karen Burniston and in my newest video, I share how to make a double wide woven basket for an ice cream loving Dad and some fun pop up graduation cards. This is the time of year most of us need graduation and Father's Day cards but of course, these dies can be used for any special occasion.

Karen Burniston showed how to make a double wide woven basket in a video just after releasing her woven basket box card die set, and I made this one for a special dad who loves ice cream. I created a vellum gift card envelope and the Culver's gift card and this card will be for my husband on Father's Day. Here are a couple more views:

I think the "DAD" on the back oval is super cute with the "A" an upside down ice cream cone. The  oval, alphabet letters and "enjoy" are also dies from Karen Burniston, and the "On Your Day" on the front is a Tonic Studios die.

To see how easy it is to make this double wide woven basket and other pop up graduation cards, watch the video here. Thanks for your visit here and for watching, subscribing and sharing my videos.

For Moms From the Kids OR Anything Goes 4 Kids at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! Again this year, all challenges at SAS4Kids are Anything Goes 4 Kids! We will often have an alternative theme that you can choose to follow, but are not required to. Create and link any card that is appropriate for a child and your card could be chosen as one of our top three cards and you could join us as a guest dt member on a future challenge. We are also changing to a monthly challenge so new challenges will be posted on the first Saturday of every month and you will have a whole month to make and link your cards.

The theme for this challenge is: For Moms from the Kids OR Anything Goes 4 Kids.

I made this card for a special Mom using an inside staircase die I got from Crealies. When the card is turned, the stairs spell out MOM using alphabet dies from Karen Burniston. The rose on the front was created with dies from Altenew and “love you” is from Honey Bee Stamps. The floral cardstock is by Park Lane at Joann’s.

Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

Two Sweater Vest Cards for Guys From My Newest Video

In my newest Die Cut Crazy video, I share how easy it is to make great masculine cards if you have the right dies. The two cards I am sharing today from that video both were made with the Sunny Studios Sweater Vest Die Set. This die set creates vest shaped cards that are perfect for any guy. I made this one for Father's Day using Karen Burniston's Alphabet Die Set. I could not resist making an ugly sweater version for Christmas:

Isn't this card fun? I embossed the sweater vest with a cable knit embossing folder and added strips and deer cut with a Tim Holtz Sixxix die to make it a truly perfect ugly Christmas sweater. I added some holiday wished inside the card with a Stampendous die set:
I am a die cut addict I admit and have so much fun designing and sharing cards with you here and on my YouTube channel. Thanks for helping me #share the joy of creativity!

Video - Cards For Guys With Dies in my Die Cut Crazy Video Series

Making cards for guys can be a bit challenging but not if you have the right dies as I show in my newest video here which is part of my Die Cut Crazy Video Series. I share four cards I made with different dies I own and the card below that I demo was made with dies, stamps and cardstock from a My Favorite Things kit. The Good Time to Wine card kit is sold out, but you can still order all the separate pieces of the kit here.

It is a wine shaker card with a tie and is easy and fun to make as I show here. Here is a peek at the inside of the card with a Tonic Studios die  and another card I share in the video:

I love this card that I made with a new die and stamp set from Motion Crafts called Time Flies. You are going to want to watch the video to see how the gears and clock under the grid move when the tab is pulled - so cool! I created a background using a technique called Faux Leather which I share in this video at about the 15 minute mark. The set from Motion Crafts includes all the dies and stamps you see and I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and sponged with Distress Inks. On the inside I used another Tonic Studios die and a stamp from the Time Flies set from Motion Crafts.

I love how these cards turned out and hope you will watch the video and will be inspired to try some masculine cards next time you are designing.

I am entering the second card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Birthday Circle Tag Pop Up For a Special Friend And Big Chance to Win!

I have many friends who have birthdays in April so have been making special birthday cards. When I do that, I reach for products from my favorite companies like dies from Karen Burniston, and I am loving the new Metallic Marble Adhesive Sheets from Sizzix! I made this card with Karen's new Circle Tag Pop-up Die set as well as sentiment, butterflies and flowers dies from various KB sets. All the butterflies and flowers and the Happy Birthday on the front wer die cut out of the blue metallic marble adhesive sheets from Sizzix. All the  gems you see are my favorites from Gina Marie Design. Take a look at the inside of this circle tag card:

I love how the circles pop out with spring flowers and butterflies and birthday wishes and I hope my friend will too.

I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
