Crealies Blocks and Cubes for Babies and Celebrations With Video

Each month I have the honor of creating a video for my YouTube channel and for Crealies featuring Crealies unique dies and this month I got to play with the A Lot Of Cubes and Building Blocks die sets. I had so much fun I made many different cards with each die set and show them all in the new video here. Here are two cards I made with the Building Block die set:

The Alphies #4 letters fit perfectly on the steps of these building block cards and the sweet elephant and bear dies are perfect for baby and children's birthday cards. I also played with the A Lot of Cubes die set and in the new video show how to take it a step further by making this large Christmas table decoration:

Wow- right? But not hard to make as I show in the video with this unique die set. Typically the end smaller squares would have open tops like the rest, but I doubled up the die pieces to cover the square and the layered dies make decorating these so easy.

I hope my cards encourage you to give some of these ideas and products from the new video a try!

What Else Can We Do With Our Embossing Powder Stash??

I recently watched this Masterclass video by Marion Emberson where she taught a new (to me) technique with embossing powders on folded parchment paper. Marion used WOW embossing powders and I have a few which I used in the  as well as some favorites from Stampendous and Nuvo. All the cards I am sharing include these unique pieces of art created with embossing powders, parchment paper and a heat gun. On the cards below, I also show embossing powders melted on sticky two sided sheets for a bumpy textured look such as on the strips on this card and the next:

The sentiment on this card is from Quietfire Design. Here are two more cards I created  with both of these techniques:

Marion's video (linked above) is a great one to watch to learn this technique. If you would like to learn how to do my technique with two sided sticky sheets and embossing powder, watch this video here.

On the background of these cards are pinpoint patterns created with dies from Birch Press Designs and Poppystamps. I had great fun playing with this new technique and the technique I discovered, and hope you will give it a try.

More Taylored Expressions Foil It Projects From My Newest Video

At Taylored Expressions there are many Foil It products to make adding the sparkle of foil to our cards and tags so easy to do as I show in my newest video here. I used the TE Gathered Greenery Foil It sheet to create these cards, and showed how to use a piece of Deco Foil Toner Sheet to preserve all the sparkly Glittering Green Foil (from Gina K Designs and Therm O Web) to get the 2nd layer on this card. All three layers on this card were cut with Kat Scrappiness Wonky Stitched Mini Slim dies to add some additional interest to the card. Here is another card I created with the same Foil It sheet, a stencil from Gina K Designs and a sentiment strip:

My tags for the holidays are almost done thanks to these awesome products from Taylored Expressions and I hope you will watch the video to get some ideas for special tags and cards with the sparkle of foil.

Spellbinders Floral Reflections New Release Card

Recently I was contacted by Yana of Spellbinders and asked if I wanted to help with the new Floral Reflections release at Spellbinders and of course I said YES! I was sent several die sets and a pretty stamp set, and this is the card I designed with them:

I love the new shaped etched dies that are part of this Floral Reflections collection which was released today, and I cut three layers with it to start this card. I embossed the white layer with Spellbinders Geo Screen embossing folder. I then cut the Floral Reflections floral dies three times and paper pieced the yellow and orange flowers. The circle sentiment was stamped and cut with more stamps and dies from this awesome release. I know I will be using these dies and stamps again and again and hope you will check them out!

Fabulous Foil Sparkle on Tags and Cards Video

I love the sparkle of foil on my cards and tags but do not own a Hot Foil machine. In my newest video here I share many easy ways to add foil accents without one using new products from Taylored Expressions. Taylor's newest release is called Falling For You and it includes Triple Slim layering stencils, Foil Its sheets to add foil accents and leaf dies. Here are some fall cards I share in the video made with this awesome set of stencils and the Foil It accents:

All three of these cards have sparkly gold veins on the leaves added with Deco Foil run through my MINC machine, but the sparkle of the foil is much easier to see in the video.  The last two have additional die cut foiled leaves cut out with leaf dies from Taylored Expressions and Lawn Fawn. As I show in my first demo in the video, without any machine you can add foil to die cuts cut out of Deco Foil Foam Adhesive Sheets for easy sparkly dimensional accents. I used dies from Taylored Expressions and Lawn Fawn to create the leaves on the last two cards.

I love the fall colors but fall is almost done here so I used the Triple Slim Stencils and Foil It vein highlights to make this pretty card in the video:

The layered hello die is from Gina K Designs. There are 3 different mini slimlines created with the TE Triple Slim layered stencils with the matching Foil It veins. But those can also be used to die cut out other projects such as these tags I cut with favorite tag dies from Crealies and Cutplorations:

Aren't they pretty? In my new video I show many more cards and tags with the sparkle of foil, and you can see all of them here. I hope my tags and cards encourage you to give some of these ideas and products a try!

Happy Holidays 4 Kids at Send A Smile 4 Kids

It’s the first Saturday of a new month and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! The theme for this challenge is Happy Holidays 4 Kids, but you can choose to participate in our challenge with any card appropriate for a child.

I love the look of 3D embossing folders on iridescent mirror cardstock and this snowflake embossing folder is from Simon Says Stamp. I simply added an Easy 3D Topper and a sentiment sticker to complete this pretty CAS card.

Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

More Beautiful Kirigami Cards From My Newest Video

In my newest video here, I show how to make a similar card with the lovely scenery paper from Reminisce and a new die set from Anna Griffin called Kirigami Cut Dies. It is hard to see the beauty as the cord is pulled in still pictures, so I made a mini video to show you:

Wow- right? The bird silhouette dies are from IO and I used three different word die sets to put the "wishing you peace" sentiment on the inside. Here are the fronts of two more cards I made with the kirigami die set:

Both are pretty with new papers from Tonic Studios, but look what happens when the cord on the circle one is pulled:

LOL, right? It looks so elegant and serious, and then the cord is pulled and the recipient is going to laugh out loud at the sentiment stamp from Kindred Stamps. Here is the wedding card with the cord pulled:

The "love" on the inside was cut with a die from Quietfire Designs and "always" is from Tonic Studios.

The front of this card is pretty with its floral paper but it is a big WOW when the cord is pulled to reveal the delicate kirigami and flowers made with rub on transfers from 49 and Market.  The sentiment die is from Sue Wilson. As I explain in the video,  the dies all come with separate outer dies so the ovals, circles or squares can be cut out of the card front as I did here, or cut out with the outer die to form a separate piece as I did in the cards above.

I hope you will watch the new video and find time to play and create.
