Spring 2025 Crop and Create Delivered Favorite Cards

I just completed a weekend of on line classes from Scrapbook and Cards Today called Crop and Create Delivered Cardmaking. I have participated in every one of these cardmaking weekends since the beginning,  and love all the products received and the classes taught! My favorite class and products this time was Taylored Expressions and they excited me so much I made many more cards and a video which will be live next Monday. I am posting some cards from the classes today and tomorrow on my blog.

Concord and 9th gave us a set of dies, stamps and an embossing folder to make this amazing shaped card. In each class we were taught 3 cards, but if I share only one it just means I am going to go back and finish the others later. I know I am going to make some Christmas cards with this set too.

In the Pink and Main class we made this amazing floral cart and I chose to stand mine up on a top folding card base.

The cards we made with Brutus Monroe featured gorgeous patterned paper which we added the sparkle of foil on and rub-ons. I loved the paper and foil so much I had to go order more of both. Luckily we get discounts as part of the class so we could shop to our hearts content.

My favorite part of each year's Crop and Create Delivered is when Jennifer McGuire mixs and matches all of the companies' products to make brilliant cards to inspire us. Look at what pops up when this card is opened:

The parrots are dies from Spellbinders and they pop up on the same mechanism Concord and 9th popped up the postcard above.

Come back tomorrow to see the rest of the cards I made with the amazing products and instruction we received at this spring's Crop and Create Delivered.

Crealies Layered Spinner Cards in Circles, Squares and Diamonds

I love interactive spinner cards but they can be hard to make trying to get the layers perfectly aligned. In the newest release from Crealies, there are dies that make spinner cards in just minutes and in circle, square and diamond shapes.

My new video here shows this and many other cards, and also shows the movement when the piece in the center spins around and around. This card features the new Circle Multi-Spinner and Carousel Card die along with new layered butterfly dies from Crealies.

Here are two more views of this card. It is so easy to simply glue on the layers cut with the die sets and then glue four pieces together. Before adding the last layer, we add the spinner with elastic cord. This die has many circle dies you could use as a spinner but I chose to make a butterfly spinner.

Here is another spinner card I made to welcome a new baby boy with the new Square Multi-Spinner and Carousel Card die set and a cute train die.

In the video I show how to use the Diamond Spinner and Carousel Card die set in a different way to make stand up spinner cards that will be perfect for interactive table name tags for a birthday luncheon. This is the one I made for the birthday girl in the video and the two friends who will also be there:

Shadow Box Cards with New Simon Hurley Sky's The Limit Dies from Spellbinders

I am loving the new release of dies from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders called Sky's The Limit and I decided to make shadow box cards with the two sets I received. The kites above are from the Fly A Kite die set you can find here. There is also a cool Stingray kite in the set and I made it for my little boy on this shadow box card:

The cute little boy is from the new Up and Away die set from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders that also has a customizable little girl and more kites. Both of the embossing folders and the sentiment dies on these cards are also from Spellbinders.

Shadow boxes are great for dimension and both of these used acetate strips to attach elements that look like they are floating. Here are some side views to see how the top part pops up off the card front:

Goodbye Cancer, Hello Good Health

A dear friend is facing breast cancer and several of us friends are gathering to support her and say good-bye boob and hello to good health. I made this card for her with the pink ribbon butterfly on the front. But the best part is what pops up using Karen Burniston's Photo Fan Pop Up Die:

The apparatus with all the spokes and messages pop up when the card is opened. I think she is going to love it!

March Mica Spray Class Cards

My students at Harts n Scraps in Rothschild WI had fun this month playing with Ranger Distress Mica Sprays and then making four cards with what we made. We did many techniques on 7 pieces of different watercolor cardstocks and thick regular cardstocks and cut the pieces up to make our cards. I just can't take a completed piece and plop it on a card base and call it a card, so I taught several fun folds and the book card above.

More Waffle Flower Beauty with Patterned Paper

As I shared in my new video and other blog posts this week, I love the look of the Waffle Flower Postage Collage dies and the matching Postage Collage Blocks die sets. I found a couple pieces of pretty designer paper and decided to make two more cards for my stash and do a quick post here. On both cards I started with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage die set but cut another matching piece of designer paper with the blocks die. I raised up the blocks shapes and put them back in so the pattern flows form the background onto them. I added some of the Subsentiments from this month's Sneak Peak also from Waffle Flower to finish the cards.

Deco Foil Sparkle and Waffle Flower Dies - OH MY!

My favorite all time colors of Deco Foil combine the colors of the rainbow with sparkle and movement and so a new favorite is Prismatic Rainbow from the newest release. The Delicate Magnolias Toner Card Front were foiled with the Prismatic Rainbow Deco Foil and the Wildflowers were cut with the 2nd generation of that foil. I added a Wax Seal and sentiment strip all from the new Sneak Peak package from Waffle Flower.

The Prismatic Rainbow foil is also perfect for the new Artsy Prints Toner Card Front from Deco Foil and I added some fun layered embellishments created with Waffle Flower's Wax Seal Die Set.

It is so easy to create awesome cards with the sparkle of foil and great die sets like the Postage Collage dies from Waffle Flower.

Great News: Waffle Flower has generously offered a $15 gift code for one of my followers to win! All you need to do is watch the new video and comment per instructions before April 14, 2025! I will leave a comment on the winning comment asking for an email address and then send the gift code to the winner when I receive a response.
