It's My Turn for the Designer Choice Challenge!

It’s another Designer’s Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built, Repeat Impression’s blog. It’s my turn and I have chosen “Fun Fold Cards” as the challenge theme. Make a card with a different fold from the traditional cards we make all the time. If you need some inspiration, visit this page at the Repeat Impressions store. RI sells packets of fun fold cards already cut for you! Or check out Pinterest or Splitcoast. After you make your card, you can enter it for a chance to win some awesome Repeat Impressions rubber! Please visit the blog for all the details and to see the other Rock Star's cards for this DCC challenge.

I have chosen to make a joy fold card showing off the new Pairings set of stamps from Repeat Impressions which has several images and sentiments that pair together to make fun cards. I paper pieced the dress mannequin and gave her a gem necklace and belt. I stamped the thread and sentiment and cut it out with a Spellbinders die.

When you open the joy fold card, you see another dress I paper pieced and another sentiment piece with thread and a thank you sentiment. If you are not sure how to make a joy fold card, here is a tutorial you can refer to. Repeat Impression’s kits show you how to make a gift card holder with your joy fold card by turning it around and leaving the side piece open to slide one in. Brilliant!

I am entering this card in the paper piecing challenge at Creative Creations and the challenge at The Crazy Challenge to use sentiments.

Stamping smiles, Karen

Karen, you did a wonderful job on this card! I love how you put texture in the dress and made the little jewel belt!

Nice card Karen. I like the ink pattern on the first dress and the embossed part on the other dress with the paper piecing. I also like the pearls and bling!
