PPA & Cute Card Thursday Challenges
The challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts is "Puttin' on the Ritz" and at Cute Card Thursday it is Anything Goes. I made this wedding/love card using some gorgus digital dp from DezinaWorld called Shabby Chic Backgrounds. Then I placed a laser cut sticker from Mrs. Grossman's on dark brown cardstock (same as the cardbase), rounded the corners and attached with mounting tape. I added some brown pearls for the final touch.
One year ago today we were in Chicago for the wedding of my son and daughter-in-law. So Happy Anniversary Brian and Kristy- this virtual card is for you!

Penny's Paper-Crafty, ABC Christmas and Cooking it up with Katie Challenges
Merry Christmas is the challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge this week and Anything Goes at ABC Christmas Challenge and at Cooking it up with Katie. I started with a fun laser cut sticker from Mrs. Grossman's placed on some pretty textured white cardstock. I added a row of pine needles cut out with a Martha Stewart border punch and finished with some red gems for bling. CAS but colorful for a lovely holiday card.

Paper Take Weekly and Partytime Tuesday Challenges
The challenge this week at Paper Take Weekly is Anything Goes and at Partytime Tuesday, they are challenging us to use a holiday greeting as the focus of the card. I used a beautiful sentiment from Darcie's, cut with a nestie on top of some pretty snowflake dp and added a dove sticker from Mrs. Grossmans to make this CAS card. The dove was placed on white cardstock and cut out and raised with mounting tape before securing to the card. The sentiment is perfect and is my wish for you!

Aud Sentiments and Delightful Challenges
The challenge this week at Aud Sentiments is "Any Winter Holiday Sentiment" and at Delightful Challenges it is Red and Green. I had this CAS holiday card I made for my kids and am sharing it today. I just love the outline stickers from Mrs. Grossmans and especially this one of Santa decorating the tree with all the animals watching. I had tried putting glitter behind the sticker, but found I liked it even better just putting it on white cardstock and then cutting it out. The green is shiny metallic paper that I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and layered onto a white card.

OSAAT & One Stop Craft Challenges
The challenge at One Stitch at a Time this week is to Emboss It and at One Stop Craft Challenges it is to not use designer paper. I created this CAS fall card using embossing and no DP, and that is very typical of my cards. I started with a scalloped shaped card and embossed it with a fall/Thanksgiving embossing folder from Cuttlebug. Then I simply added a laser cut leaf sticker from Mrs. Grossman's.

CAS-ual Fridays and Delightful Challenges
The challenge at CAS-ual Fridays is "Just Add Color" and Halloween is the theme at Delightful Challenges. I started with a Laser Cut sticker from Mrs. Grossman's and colored behind it with my copics. I attached it to white cardstock and cut out. The top is a goo border punch from Martha Stewart and the dp I bought at Jo-Ann's. CAS and fun for Halloween.

Simon Says Stamp and Crafty Creations Challenges
The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is Anything Goes and at Crafty Creations it is CAS- my two favorite kinds of challenges! I created this card using a new embossing folder from Darice and a laser cut sticker from Mrs. Grossmans. I put the sticker on acetate and raised it and the border with mounting tape above the white piece. Of course I sponged the spider web and edges to distress the grey piece. CAS but I like how it turned out.

PCI Show Us Your Flowers Challenge
It's time for another great challenge at Paper Creations Ink! This time we are being challenged to use flowers in our cards. Our sponsor for this challenge is Crop Stop and the winner will get a $15 gift certificate to their online store! As an added bonus, Crop Stop has awarded all of us a 10% discount to their online store for the duration of the challenge! Please visit the PCI blog for all the details and to see the other flower cards from the PCI design team. Why don't you grab some flower stamps or paper or embellishmnet and come play along?!
For my first card I used alot of supplies available at Crop Stop at a discount with the code. I started with a Cherry Blossom embossing folder from Craft Concepts bought at Crop Stop and I colored in the stems and added Flower Soft for the blossoms. The flower is created with Nestabilites and the border punch and butterfly punch are from Martha Stewart. And of course Crop Stop carries all these brands too!
My second card is a CAS design using beautiful digital paper with flowers from DezinaWorld at Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps and a Mrs. Grossman's Laser Cut Sticker. That's it- CAS and I love the finished product, but it was super simple to make.
I am entering these cards in the challenges at Your Next Stamp for beautiful borders and at One Stitch at a Time for Anything Goes.

CAS-usal Fridays and Crafty Catz Challenges
The challenge this week at CAS-ual Fridays is to do a CAS card using a sticker or rub-on and at Crafty Catz they did not want any pink or blue. I purchased some beautiful Laser Cut Stickers by Mrs. Grossmans and just love how they look on a card. I placed the Halloween scene sticker on white cardstock and cut it out. That piece is attached to the left part of the gatefold card opening. I punched the large fence border from Martha Stewart in black and attached that to the right side of the gatefold card opening. I simply stamped the BOO (Fiskars stamp) on the fence in white ink and the CAS card is done.

Critter Sketch Challenge Monday
It's a fun Monday here as it is a holiday here in the USA- Happy Birthday America! - and I am posting twice. If you are looking for the Repeat Impressions blogpost, just scroll and you will find it. Critter Sketch has a sketch and color challenge this week. Use RED in our cards and use the sketch above. Our wonderful sponsor is Stamp and Create- check out the blog for all the details.
I turned the sketch on its side and created this CAS holiday card using red as my primary color. The focal point is a beautiful laser cut sticker from Mrs. Grossman's. Don't you just love it? I simply placed on a white piece the same size and raised it with mounting tape above an embossed snowflake background and two sparkly red squares.
I am entering this card in the challenge at Digi Doodles Best for Anything Goes.

OWH and Clear it Out Tuesday Challenges
The challenge this week at Operation Write Home is "Love You" and at Clear it Out Tuesday it is Clean and Simple. CAS is my favorite kind of card- with a twist- something new or fun added in. There are two new things on this card that I learned about at the recent stamp show in Wausau. The first is the beautiful laser cut sticker by Mrs Grossman's. So easy to use and very classy looking. The second is a new way to use our border punches! Punch out the border punch (or any shaped punch) on a piece of scrap paper. I used a portion of a Martha Stewart border punch. Attach it to your cardstock with temporary tape on all sides. Using Pearl Pen or Liquid Pearls and a stencil knife, swipe a little of the colored pearl into the holes of the punched paper. Take punched scrap paper off and discard. Allow to dry and you have a lovely accent for any card.
Of course the background is just a cuttlebug embossed card. CAS but lovely, I think.
