Shaped and A2 Pinata Cards From My Newest Video

Isn't this shaped fold it card adorable? I made it so easily with The Stamps of Life Rainbow Pinata Fold-It die set designed by Stephanie Barnard for my newest video. This card opens at the top and has a cute balloon message floating on acetate. I made the pinatas on both cards with Spellbinders Pop Up Cutting Foam Sheets which are all glittery and die cut beautifully.

Here is another card I made with this cute fold it die set and the glitter foam sheets from Spellbinders. And below is a look at the inside of this card created with napkins from Oriental Trading attached to cardstock for easy and very inexpensive designer paper alternative:

Too cute! I had great fun playing with my new Fold-It dies from The Stamps of Life and hope my cards encourage you to watch the new video and give some of these ideas and products a try!

I am entering the first card in the  Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Fold It Shaped Cards Made Easy with The Stamps Of Life Dies

I love unique fun fold cards and dies that make them so easy, and recently I discovered the Fold It line of dies at The Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard. These dies can be used to make shaped cards or not and on A2, mini-slimline and slimline cards as I show in my newest video here. Here is the first card I made so easily with the Drink Cup Fold-It Die Set and a matching stamp set both from The Stamps of Life

This card opens from the top and with the straw sticking up, fits into a mini-slimline envelope. I created a slimline shaker version in the new video and here are a couple pictures of that card:

I show how to create this drink cup shaker and also how to make the card front for just pennies in the new video. I put some gorgeous new Broken Crushed Glass from Renfio inside the shaker along with ice cubes that move created with the dies in the Drink Cup Fold It die set. Here is a look at the inside of this card:

The sentiment and lemon wedge die are from The Stamps of Life and the liquor bottle die is from Karen Burniston.

I had great fun creating with these new Fold It dies from The Stamps of Life and hope you will watch the new video to see more of my fold it cards and how easy these are to make.

June Class Cards That I Taught Locally

My classes being taught monthly at Harts N Scraps in the Cedar Creek Mall in Rothschild have been great fun to teach and are filling up each month. The July and August classes are full, but if you are local you could sign up for a waiting list in case any one drops out. Samples of the cards are displayed at the shop. July is Christmas in July, August is Vellum techniques and September is guys cards two of which light up! There are currently openings in the September 20 and 23rd classes. Here are the cards I taught this month with different background techniques:

I shared Gina K's woodgrain debossed technique as well as alcohol ink in a salad spinner to make the flowers on the card above. On the card below, we also used a salad spinner to make the Northern Lights background with Lindsey's Magicals water color powders:

The sunset on the card below was created easily with distress oxide inks, Versamark and glitter embossing powder.

And this card has a background created with alcohol markers on vellum and some easy foil color accents:

Bear Hugs Spinner Card With Secret Message

Here is another of the fun fold cards I share in my newest video featuring the new Bear Hugs release at Spellbinders from Stampendous. I created this spinner card with the adorable Bear Hugs die set and Hugs Accessories dies and stamp set. The oval frame was created with the new Fran's Frames die set and I hung an envelope with a secret message inside on elastic card. It is best to see the card in the new video here, but if you can see a mini video of the fun movement here:

Bear Hugs From Stampendous and Spellbinders!

Everyone loves bear hugs, right? I was so happy to hear two of my favorite companies - Stampendous and Spellbinders - are now working together and when I was asked to design with Fran's new release of  dies and stamps at Spellbinders, I was thrilled to say yes! I show how step by step to make this square Diamond Flip fun fold card in my newest video here. The adorable bear, stamps and envelope were created with the new Bear Hugs collection at Spellbinders from Stampendous. Here is another view of this diamond flip card:

This card features the new Bear Hugs die set, the Hugs Accessories die set and the Hugs Sentiment stamp set. It is best to see how the card is made and moves in the video, but here is a mini-movie showing how the diamond flip card opens:

All the cards I show in the new video are fun fold cards and this one features the new Fran's Frames die set from Stampendous and Spellbinders in addition to the other sets I listed above. The stamp set on the front of the card is an older favorite from Stampendous and I was so happy to see it is still available here on the Spellbinders website.  This card is a tri-fold slimline with the oval cut twice to see through to the back:

I had great fun designing with all these Bear Hugs products and hope you will watch the new video here and give some of the ideas and products a try!

Crealies Suitcase Create A Box Dies - Perfect for Gift Giving!

I love to find creative ways to package small gifts and gift cards for special people. In my newest video for my YouTube channel and Crealies, I am showing how to make gift boxes for teachers and graduates with the new Large Suitcase Box die set as well as the mini and medium sizes of suitcase box dies all from Crealies.

Above are the three sizes of suitcase gift boxes I show in the new video. All are made very easily with these innovative dies and I show step by step how that is done. I also share how to do the Faux Leather technique that I used to make all these look so much like real suitcases. Here is a picture of the suitcase I made with the newest Suitcase Box Create a Box die set and the new Apples die set for a teacher gift:

And here are pictures of the mini suitcase gift box for a travelers money gift and the regular size for a graduate gift:

I thought the sentiment from the famous Dr. Suess book would be perfect for a gift of money for a traveler, and found some cupcake decorations with those images here on Etsy.

I had great fun designing these different sizes suitcases for gift giving! Which one is your favorite? Watch the new video here to see how easy these are to make and how to easily create a faux leather look.

More CAS Masculine Cards With Stencils and Stamps

As I share in my newest video, I just discovered Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Stencil and Stamp Through sets of one thicker and one thin stencils so we can easily stamp through and brush on inks and this card features their Momma Bear stencil set and stamps. I added some grass and texture on the bear with other stencils and a stamped sentiment from my stash.

Here is another card I featured in the new video with a background created with my favorite cloud stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, small scenery stamps from Stampendous and a die cut sentiment from Frantic Stamper. Of course we don't have to stamp on stenciled CAS cards for guys as I show on this next card:

I made this card for my grandson to give to his Dad with a pier scene of them fishing. All of the dies and the scenery stencil are from Frantic Stamper and are called Fishing on the Dock of the Bay, To My Father and Wave Slimline Stencil.

Easy Stamping Through Stencils for CAS Guy's Cards

Have you ever tried to stamp through a too thick stencil or brush ink through a stencil that was too thin and flimsy? I recently discovered the line of Stencil and Stamp Through stencil sets at Blue Knight Rubber Stamps that solve that problem, and am featuring them in my new video here. I made many masculine cards with these innovative sets and here is the card I made in the video:

As I show in the video, I was able to easily stamp the large tree and deer through the thin stencil in the Maple Leaf set before I embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and added inks for a purple sunset scene. In the video I forgot to add my stamped sentiment before embossing, so I put the sentiment (from Stampendous and now sold at Spellbinders!) and another set of deer in the inside of this card:

Here is another CAS card created in minutes with the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Maple Leaf stencil set and the Buck, Doe and Fawn set of stamps also from them. Below is my favorite cards that I made with another Stencil and Stamp Through set called Momma Bear:

I used the same embossing folder from Sizzix as above, Momma Bear and Friends stamp set from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps and some small scenery stamps from Stampendous.

I had great fun designing these easy guy's cards and hope you will watch the new video here and give some of the ideas and products a try!

Cards 4 Teens or Tweens at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It’s the first Saturday of a new month and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! The theme for this challenge is Cards 4 Teens or Tweens, but you can choose to participate in our challenge with any card appropriate for a child.

I made this card with Tim Holtz's Prehistoric Die Set and dry wall repair tape. I brushed several shades of ink through the dry wall repair tape on the background and also on the "awesome" sentiment strip. The dry wall tape is sticky on one side so holds in place easily for stenciling and I also attached it to a piece of kraft cardstock before die cutting the star on this card.

Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

I am entering this card in the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
