Birch Press Designs Regal Peacock Happy Hello Card

I have been wanting the Birch Press Designs Regal Peacock layered dies set for a very long time. This month the sketch and color challenge at our local club showed a peacock in these colors, so I used that as the perfect excuse to go buy this beautiful die set. I used many layers of mirror card from Tonic Studios on the peacock and the stencil and sentiment stamp are from Gina K Designs. The mirror card peacock is even prettier in real life and I thank my stamp club friends for inspiring me to buy this gorgeous die set from Birch Press Designs.

I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Bright Rosa Snowflake Panel Dies for Any Celebration

As I share in my newest video, the new Bright Rosa Snowflake Panel die is perfect for holiday cards and for any season or reason which makes it very versatile and stretches our die cutting dollars! I created two shaker cards with this die set and I share them in the video. On both cards I cut the snowflake panel our with it's outer die and layered it over a back piece with a hexagon cut out for the shaker elements. The hexagon die is part of the Hexagon Card die set from Bright Rosa's newest release and "Celebrate" is a from Karen Burniston. I filled the shaker with butterflies and beads and finished the card with my favorite gems from Gina Marie Designs. Here is a look with the butterflies and bead and my Christmas version all shook up:

For this Christmas shaker card, I die cut the Snowflake Panel die in dark green over Tonic's Gold Luxury Embossed Card. I added the die cut words from the new Christmas Words die set also from Bright Rosa and some white sparkly gems from Gina Marie Designs. Inside the shaker are green gems and beads. Here is another view of this 5 x 7 Christmas shaker card:

To see more cards for any season or reason with these great new dies, check out my newest video here.

Video - Bright Rosa Snowflake Panel for Christmas Or Any Occasion Cards

In my newest video I am sharing cards all made with the new Bright Rosa Snowflake Panel Die Set. If you look at this die, you may see snowflakes or flowers or stars so it is perfect for cards for any season or reason. It is a larger die perfect for 5 x 7 cards such as this card here:
I simply cut out the Snowflake Panel die with it's edge die and placed over a 5 x 7 aqua blue card base. I added a couple butterflies cut with the new Bright Rosa Butterfly Border die set and a hello from Paper Smooches. Check out the gorgeous Butterfly Border die on the inside:

The "thinking of you" is from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions. But what if you want an A2 sized card cut with these dies? In my newest video here, I show how to make this A2 sized Christmas card:

I cut the Snowflake Panel die out of the red card base as well as the "Merry" die from the Bright Rosa Christmas Words Die Set. I am fascinated with the many ways you can use these Christmas Word dies in this set! You can cut the word out on the card base for a look like this or combine these with the 5 different sized stitched rectangle dies also in the set. There are also 4 different layered cursive Christmas word dies and you can choose to use their shadows or without. The front of this card also features three snowflakes cut with the Snowflake Border dies and gold Luxury Embossed Craft Perfect Card from Tonic Studios. The card front is backed with a white card piece and this is what the inside of the card looks like:

Merry is layered with gold and red and "Christmas" is cut out for the negative strip with a red backing. I love how this card turned out and show how to make it in the video here. You will see how with a little imagination, you can take a larger die set and use it for A2 cards too. Thanks for your visit today and for your support of my YouTube channel too!

Bright Rosa Hexagon Card Die Set Is Perfect For Any Occasion Not Just Christmas!

When I look at the pattern in the Bright Rosa Hexagon Card dies I see stars or flowers or snowflakes so it can be used for any reason or season stretching our die cutting dollars which we all love! I share 4 cards of different sizes and purposes in my newest video here. This card was cut with the base card die in the set and when folded has a hexagon shaped front and measures 5 x 5 3/4". I die cut the patterned pieces out of navy and popped up the stars included in the die set. This is the inside of this card:

You can see the patterned corners when the card is opened or closed. I lightly brushed on some blue ink through the Shine Bright Stencil and added a die cut greeting that could be for sympathy or thinking of you or Christmas. "Wishing you" is from Memory Box and the Peace box is part of the Bright Rosa Christmas Words die set.

This is another card I share in the video and shows again how versatile the set is. I did not cut any of the pattern into this card but simple cut the card base and added the beautiful Snowflake Border across the top above the Noel strip. All the other snowflakes you see are also from that set and all were cut out of my favorite Silver Luxury Embossed Mirror Card from Tonic Studios.

When the hexagon shaped card front is lifted, you see more pretty snowflakes over a lightly brushed stenciled background. The Shine Bright Stencil from this Bright Rosa release is going to be my go to stencil for any card I want a pretty elegant stenciled background! 'Merry" is from the Christmas Words die set and I stenciled "Christmas" from the Joy Words Stencil.

I hope my cards and video here have inspired you to check out this new die and stencil release from Paula Pascual at CraftStash US. You can get 15% off your first order when you sign up for their newsletter and get free shipping on orders more than $70.

Video - Hexagons, Stencils & Snowflakes From Bright Rosa's Newest Release

Have you seen the newest dies and stencils from Bright Rosa? My favorite from the newest release by Paula Pascual is the Hexagon Card Die Set and in my newest video here I show many examples of different ways to use this die set as well as the new Christmas Words and Snowflake Border die sets and two new stencils.

I show how easy it is to make this hexagon easel Joy card in the video with all the dies I mentioned above. Here is a look at the inside with the pretty Joy Words stencil lightly brushed with blue ink:

The Christmas Words Die Set has both the negative strips as shown above that cuts the words out of the cardstock and also layered cursive words as you see in the merry and Christmas on this A2 sized card. The Hexagon Card die set is so versatile it can cut larger cards using the base die cut and also cut smaller hexagons with the pattern as shown in this card. I also cut the corner triangles with that set and added softly brushed stars with blue ink through the Shine Bright Stencil. You can see through the hexagon pattern to the inside which looks like this:

I added some more snowflakes from the Snowflake Border die set and both cards were finished with my favorite gems from Gina Marie Designs.

To see these cards better and see all the dies and stencils I used from the new Bright Rosa release, please watch the video here. Thanks for your visit here and for your support of my YouTube channel.

Family Room Pop Up Card with New Dies from Karen Burniston

I had so much fun designing interactive pop up cards with each of the new dies in the summer release from Karen Burniston and today's card features the Family Room Pop Up die as well as some new sentiment dies. As always, the front is sweet and simple, but look at what happens when the card is opened:

A whole family room of furniture along with a cat and an area rug appears- so sweet and easy to make with these dies! I am sharing one more mini movie to show you how these cool pop ups work when the cards are opened:

Can you tell I am a huge fan? I hope you enjoyed all the cards and movies I have shared these last two weeks- I sure had fun making them!

Family Is Love Photo Collage Pop Up Card

As I have been sharing all week here on my blog and on my YouTube channel, my favorite of the new summer release of dies from Karen Burniston is the Photo Collage Pop-up Die. First of all- take a look at the clips on these family photos on the front of the card! They look just like the real clips and are created with dies from this brilliant set! But the real magic happens when the card is opened:

I made another card like this and had a brilliant idea to use cork paper to make a bulletin board for the front:

Still photos just don't do these cards justice, so I filmed a mini movie to show you how cool this photo collage pop up is:

If you missed the earlier photo collage pop up cards I posted or want a link to the video, just scroll down here and see all the photo collage cards I posted this week.

I Joined My First Die of the Month Club and Made a Back to School Card

I have always avoided joining any monthly kit clubs because of the expense and not knowing what I might get and maybe not liking most of it. However, when I saw this month's Spellbinders Small Die of the Month kit, I loved the backpack die set and looked into it. First of all it is very reasonable for a die set with this many pieces - $12.50 and that includes postage. Look at all the pieces you get:

To get this month's die set, I did have to sign up this month (before it sells out) and then commit to being in the club to get monthly kits at that price. But I do get a preview with 48 hours to decline and I can decline 5 times a year. I think that is very fair- if I don't like more than half of them, I should just quit and I can do that anytime.

I made a card already with the backpack dies for my grandson for back to school. He will like the card and especially what is in the backpack for him:
I have seen male and female versions of the backpack in the August Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Set and loved each one I saw. If you like this die set too, be sure to join up quick so you can get it before they sell out.

Cheers to the New Summer Release by Karen Burniston!

I love to make interactive pop up cards and know many people known to enjoy a few alcoholic beverages, so the new Photo Collage Pop-up die and Happy Hour Charms are perfect for them! Take a look at what happens when this card is opened:

All sorts of alcoholic wishes for a happy birthday pop up. Still photos do not do this pop up mechanism justice, so check out my newest video here and this mini-movie I filmed to show you this one opening:

Isn't that fun? I am having too much fun with this new die set from Karen Burniston! All the dies used are from KB and include an older Wine Charms set, the new Cheers sentiment, several word sets and border dies. I also used ovals and circles from the crosshatch sets to mix up the shapes on the photo collage pop up.

Video - Pop Up Holiday Cards with Karen Burniston Photo Collage Dies

My favorite die in the newest release from Karen Burniston is the Photo Collage Pop-up die set and if you watch my newest video here you will see why. A whole collage of photos or die cuts or whatever you choose pops up when the card is opened. Still photos just do not do these cards justice, so I do recommend you watch the video and see my samples and how easy it is to make these impressive interactive cards. I show how easy it is to make this Christmas card:

The front is simple with a pretty die sentiment from Tonic Studios. But just look at the 8 rectangles that pop up when the card is opened! (My light box is just not big enough to show this card opened:( But I do show it step by step in the new video here. Here is a closer look at the inside of this card with all my Christmas wishes for you:

I love to make Halloween cards for kids of all ages and who wouldn't love to get one like this?

Again a really simple front with patterned two sided cardstock that opens to six Halloween panels all made with KB dies. Here is a closer look at the pop up:

It is way better to see the pop up collage in the video so you can see it pop up when the card is opened. I chose to have 6 rectangles in this card but you have the option of as many as 8 and as few as 4. Be sure to stop back later this week as I am going to share two more photo collage cards I made with this innovative fun die set!

Howdy Barn Pop Up Card with New Karen Burniston Dies

There are so many fun dies in the latest release from Karen Burniston that I had a blast making cards with each of them! This cute chick is saying Howdy and look what happens when the card is opened:

The barn pops up and the doors of the barn even open to show another cute chicken saying "Howdy- Thinking of You" all with new dies from this release. Still pictures do not do these pop up dies justice so I filmed a mini movie to show you:

So fun! I will be sharing many more cards with these new interactive pop up dies, so be sure to stop back!
