Pop and Flip Fun Fold Cards Several Ways in a New Video

I had never heard of a Pop and Flip fun fold but after making some cards with a Hunkydory kit from Paper Wishes, I was inspired to try some both with the kit and without. Here is the card I make step by step in my newest video but with different papers:

The gorgeous scenery and wood designer papers and cut out bear die are from the Woodland Animals collection at Paper Wishes and I just love how this card turned out! I used both the positive and negative images of the bear scenery die and show how to create an easy pop and flip card. Here are several more versions all using that same designer paper and die set:

On all of these cards I used Crealies wavy wonky circle die to cut out the patterned paper and card front circle and the "thinking of you" and Happy Father's Day dies are from Karen Burniston.

I love showing how to use dies in different ways and hope my cards inspire you to watch the new video here, and try some of the ideas and products featured!

Positive or Negative, To Layer Or Not - So Many Choices With Crealies Dies!

I love pop up dies and also love finding different ways to use the same dies, and in my newest video I show how to make a cute Easter pop up card with dies from Crealies that can be used in so many ways!

Easter and Spring will be here soon, right? I sure hope so and this card is ready to send to someone special. I made the front with an adorable Bunny Partzz die from Crealies and the inside shows two more bunnies that are made with the same die:

This pop up card was so easy to make with the new Crealies On The Move #16 Pop Up die set as I show in the new video. The pop ups can be decorated with one, two or three layers and they can be stitched or not. The new Vertical and Horizontal Happy Easter dies can also be used in three different ways as the card shows. I love dies that are so versatile and can be used in so many different ways which stretches our crafty dollars!

Tea Bag Folding Made So Easy With Dies and Stamps

When I bought the Tea Bag Folding dies from Creative Expressions and Jamie Rodgers, I also bought a matching stamp set that stamps a pattern in any paper that can be used for the tea bag folding, backgrounds and sentiments on our cards as I did on this card from my newest video.

I am loving the focal point of all of these cards which are dimensional tea bag rosettes or medallions! The background on this card is a Dotted Sun stitched background die from Crealies and the sentiment die is from Sue Wilson.

Above is a wedding card with a pretty peach tea bag folded rosette on a stenciled background (A Colorful Life Designs) with a layered sentiment die from Tonic Studios. And here is one more card similar to the one I made step by step in the new video but with different two sided paper from Stampin up:

I love how all these cards turned out and hope my new video and these cards encourage you to give this technique and products a try!

I am entering the last card in the Flowers challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Spellbinders Simon Hurley Butterfly Kisses Highlighted with Paper Piecing

I love butterflies and roses on my cards- who doesn't? I recently received a brand new set of stamps and dies by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders, and I decide to highlight the rose with paper piecing on both of my cards. I stamped the large rose stamp on patterned blue paper and again on yellow and green and fussy cut the rose before attaching back on the stamped image. I die cut a circle out of the front and created a pop and flip fun fold. This card is a sneak peak of next week's video where I will show you several ways to make a pop and flip card. Here is a look at the inside of this card:

All the sentiments used and the butterflies are from the Simon Hurley Butterfly Kisses stamp set, and the set includes dies for the flowers and butterflies. Here is another card I created with highlighting by paper piecing:

I chose to highlight the one rose with paper piecing and stamp the others in blue for part of the background. I love to "color" with paper piecing and had fun making these cards with new Spellbinders products.

Updating Tea Bag Folding With Today's Products

I always wanted to try teabag folding for my cards but it looked so hard I was intimidated. But recently I found Jamie Rodger's Tea Bag Folding Collection dies from Creative Expressions and they make it sooo easy! All the folded lines are scored perfectly and take all the hard work out of tea bag folding!

This is the card I make step by step in my newest video here using the Pointy Petals Tea Bag Folding die set from Creative Expressions. I also show how to make the decorative corners with greens dies from Kat Scrappiness. The background stitched die is from Trinity Stamps. Here is another card I made with the Pointy Petals die set:

The cool background on this card was made with a layered stencil from Simon Says Stamp and the sentiment die is from Karen Burniston.

Here is a pretty card I made with the Circles Tea Bag Folding die set from Jamie Rodgers and Creative Expressions and a Gina K Designs stencil. To see all the cards I made with these innovative dies and how easy they make tea bag folding, watch the new video here.

Stepping Up Shaker Cards with Rub-ons and Pinkfresh Studio Finds!

I love using acetate on my cards especially when I have added rub-ons like these from 49 & Market to the acetate to make it more interesting. BUT I do not like taking pictures of shakers with acetate because the lights in the photo box reflect when the card is down where you can see the pretty Glitter Drops inside. But if you take a few minutes to watch my new video here, you will see all the cards mich easier and learn my tips for easy shaker cards. Here is another view of this card:

All the cards I share in the new video feature Pinkfresh Studio washi tape flowers that I cut with matching dies. This set is called In The Meadow. I created the mini-slimline frame with a crosshatch die from Karen Burniston.

See those lights? Grrrr.. But the card is so pretty IRL (or on the video here) with rub-ons from Prima and pretty washi tape flowers (Anemone Magic from Pinkfresh Studio) on a frame I cut with dies from Crealies. Here is another view of this card:

I had fun playing with pretty flowers I didn't have to color and different ways to step up my acetate for these shaker cards and hope you will check out all the cards and how to tips here in the new video

Easy Floral Shakers with Pinkfresh Studio and Foiled Acetate

I have a confession to make - I like flowers on my cards but don't like to color them. Pinkfresh Studio came to my rescue with many floral washi tapes and matching dies, and I use them along with patterned acetate to step up my shaker cards in my newest video here. Here is the card I show how to make step by step in the video:

I show how easy it is to make a shaker card with some of my favorite tips and also how the Pinkfresh Studio washi tape, matching dies and Glitter Drops are perfect for shaker cards. I started this card with a glimmer card front embossed with an embossing folder from Memory Box. The sentiment is from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions. Here is another look at this card where the foiled acetate from Hunkydory is more visible:

I think using acetate with the foiled pattern makes the shaker so much more interesting. Of course on all of these cards I also used Pinkfresh Studios washi tape flowers and their Glitter Drops. This washi tape (with matching die) is called Whimsical Blooms and I used those on this card too:

I love using this cover die from Kat Scrappiness for shaker cards because I can separate the colors of the shaker gems- green glitter drops in the top section and gold in the bottom. Of course the pretty flowers are from Pinkfresh Studio and I added them on the inside of all my cards too as I show in the new video here.

I had great fun making my shaker cards with the Pinkfresh Studio washi tape flowers and patterned acetate from Hunkydory and hope my cards and video inspire you to give some of the ideas and products a try!

I am entering the first card in the Something New challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday (the washi tape and dies are new.)

Valentines That BAM and POP For My Grandsons

My youngest grandson loves Transformers (just as his Daddy did so many years ago!) and so I made this Transformers Valentine for him. Hidden under the Transformer picture on the flap are several magnets holding the card shut. Just look at what pops up when the card is opened:

You won't believe how those two Transformers pop up because of the Bam Box Pop Up Die from Karen Burniston and to really see it, you need to watch my new video here. I put a gift of money in an envelope created with a gift card die from Kat Scrappiness. Both of these BAM cards and many others are featured in my newest video. The Happy Valentine's Day is a die from Karen Burniston and here is a close up on the sentiment I created on the inside left:

I have two grandsons and this card is for the older one. I created this card front and the flap with a new cover die from Kat Scrappiness. But of course, the real fun happens when the card is opened:

The "love you" pops up when the card is opened and I used the same dies for the sentiment and the money envelope as above. I had so much fun with the new dies from Karen Burniston and show many surprise projects in my new video here.

I am entering the first card in the Something New challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday (the Bam Box Pop Up die is new.)

Bam! Pop! Surprise Cards and Boxes For the New Year

Kids of all ages love surprises and interactive cards and the projects in my newest video BAM and POP when opened! The secret to that motion is new dies from Karen Burniston and my favorite is the Bam Box Pop Up set! Here is a card I made that is identical to the one I show step by step in the video except for the school colors chosen:

The front is cute and created with a graduation border die from Taylored Expressions, sentiment die from IO and grad hat die from Dies...To Die For. But the real magic happens when the card is opened:

The oval grad gown was created with a die from Trinity Stamps and pops up BAM when the card is opened which you can see much better in the new video here.

Another fun way to surprise a recipient with the Bam Box is to put it in a Slider Box created with another new die from the newest release at Karen Burniston. I decorated this one with a layered heart die from Birch Press Designs. Just look what pops up with the ribbon is pulled:

The Bam Box is easy to put together and really creates a fun surprise when it pops as I show in the new video. I used a couple dies from Lawn Fawn and Karen Burniston to create the message for a friend on Valentine's Day with a candy treat inside.

I also show another fun way to surprise someone special with the Slider Box in the new video. It is better to see the action in the video of course, but here are a couple pictures showing what pops up in this box:

Those boxes pop way up and were created with the new Surprise Cube Pop Up die set and under them is a gift card. The butterflies and foiled mirror card are from Paper Wishes, and I used another favorite Karen Burniston die on the front for the Happy Birthday wish.

To see more cards made with the BAM Box die set and how they really pop, watch the new video here. I hope my projects encourage you to give some of the ideas and products a try!
