Light Up Your Cards The EZ Way!

I love this card I made with the fun Love Bug Car Builder die set from Paper Rose Studio on a shaped cardbase created with dies from Crealies. But as I show in my newest video here, it is even more fun when the "press here" button is pushed:

It is much easier to see the lights light up and this and all the cards I share in the video. If we want more than one light (up to 3) on a card, it is super easy to do that with Pear Blossom Press EZ Lights. Now if we want just one light on our cards there is a new product from Pear Blossom Press called One Light. Here is a card I made so easily with the lighted option:

The lantern die is from Divinity Designs and I embossed it with an embossing folder from Stampin' up. I was inspired by a card I saw in the Let's Create booth at a stamp show to try a white on white Christmas card with this lantern, but mine would light up as I show in the video

After I made it in the video, I am not sure if the lantern stands out enough? Maybe with some more dimension on the lantern, but then the "press here" wouldn't work. But I do love the look when the candle in the lantern lights up:

I added a white poinsettia and pine branch created with dies from Tim Holtz and Sizzix and the pinpoint background was created with a die from Memory Box.

Watch the new video here to see how easy it is to light up our cards. Thanks for your visit today!

UNO, 2, 3, 4 House of Cards in my Newest Video!

My youngest grandson loves to play UNO so when I saw the new House of Cards die set from Karen Burniston, I knew I needed to get some miniature UNO cards to make this impressive card for him:

To see this and three other House of Cards cards I made with this new die set, watch my new video here. But you can see the movement here in this mini video I also made:

(For some unknown reason, my subscription service does not work with videos in my blogposts, so if you are reading this in your email, click on the title and go to the actual blogpost to see the mini videos.)

You don't have to use playing or UNO cards to make amazing cards with this interactive die set. I saw a Christmas card by Frances Byrne and had to try her idea to make a Christmas tree with it:

The tree is 6 layers tall and requires a very long cardbase for it to fit in, so I made mine a slimline card. Here is a mini video of this one opening:

If you watch the new video, you will see these are not hard to make and will WOW the lucky recipient!

Big Deal House of Cards Pop up from Karen Burniston

It's always a big deal when there is a new release at Karen Burniston.com and in my new video, I am featuring my favorite of the new die sets - the House of Cards Pop Up. The front of this card has 4 mini card aces and a perfect sentiment from the new KB word set #17 also in this release. But of course the real magic happens when the card is opened:

To get the full impact of this house of cards, you need to watch the video here, but I did make a mini video for this blog post of the card being opened:

(For some unknown reason, my subscription service does not work with videos in my blogposts, so if you are reading this in your email, click on the title and go to the actual blogpost to see the mini videos.)

This is a Dungeons and Dragons version of the House Of Cards for my grandson that I show step by step how to make in my new video here. And here is a mini video showing the impressive house of cards as the card is opened:

To see more cards I made with the new Karen Burniston House of Cards die set and how easy they are to make, watch the new video here.

Summer Sunglasses Shaped Cards

I love shaped cards and just couldn't resist the Sunglasses Fold It die set from The Stamps Of Life. I have always liked the look of small images in the sunglasses lens so I bought a set of small stencils with many perfect for summer cards. Of course these cards could be sent to someone leaving on a vacation in the winter or retiring. Here is another card I made with this die set and some other small stencils:

As you can see, this die set is also awesome on a slimline card. Here is another shaped  card I made with this die set:

Crealies Milk Carton Boxes 3 Sizes Perfect for Treats and Gifts!

If you need some adorable boxes for treat and gift giving but just have a few minutes to make them, you have come to the right place! In my newest video here, I show how to make these cute milk carton boxes in three different sizes using Create a Box dies from Crealies. Crealies is a crafty company located in the Netherlands with many many amazing dies. But I am so excited to share that many of Crealies dies are now available in the USA at the Frantic Stamper website here.

Here is the birdhouse gift box I made with the #06 Create a Box in the regular size. I decorated this gift box with Crealies Cardzz Birdhouse, Bird Partz Duo, and a play on the layered Happy Birthday Wordzz. Here are two mini treat boxes I made with the Create a Box Mini 06:

These were made so easily in just minutes with thicker patterned cardstock as I show in the new video. I also show step by step how to make a larger milk carton gift box with the third size of Create A Box #06 and here is the wedding or engagement box I created:

The XXL Little Stripes Hearts and Pear Partzz dies are part of the newest release at Crealies too. I had great fun making these cute treat and gift boxes and hope my projects encourage you to give some ofthe ideas and products featured a try!

Christmas In July Class Cards

I am having great fun teaching classes locally at Harts N Scraps and for the most part, all the cards I teach are designed exclusively for the classes. But after the monthly classes are done, I can share the cards here on my blog and my Facebook page

This candy bar card was a favorite among the students and really easy to make with one inch and 3/4 inch square punches creating the candy bar pieces, and torn aluminum foil and designer paper. Here are the other three cards I taught:

As you can tell, the theme was Christmas in July and we had fun with Spirelli, napkins, punches and an envelope card cut with dies from Pink & Main.

Diagonal Joy Fold Shaker Gift Card

I recently learned how to make a Diagonal Joy Fold from Pinterest and this blog post and thought it would be perfect for a shaker gift card holder for my newest video here. All of the cards in my new video feature unique dies from Frantic Stamper and you see Modern Happy and Happy Birthday Candles on the front. Here is how this diagonal joy fold opens:

I created a shaker gift card holder for the inside of this card and will be sending it to my daughter in law for her birthday. Be sure to watch the new video for more easy shaker card ideas and then send some of your handmade joy out into this world!

Easy Shaker Cards Three Ways with Frantic Stamper Dies

Recently I was checking out the Frantic Stamper website to see which Crealies dies she had in stock (many more to come and a USA website to buy them from!) and of course I couldn't leave without putting a bunch of the Frantic Stamper dies in my cart. As you know I am a die cut addict, and there are many amazing dies at this website and more coming in everyday! In my newest video here, I share 3 different ways to create shaker cards with the Frantic Stamper dies I received. Here is the see through shaker card I show step by step to make in the short video:

I filled the shaker front with glass glitter from Renfio and attached Frantic Stamper's Adhesive Bandage and Sending Positive Vibes Words to the acetate front. Here are a couple more views of this card all shook up and the inside words:

Acetate and mirror card are both hard to photograph because of the glare, so these cards are seen best in the video here. Below is a masculine birthday shaker card I created with Frantic Stamper's Modern Happy, Plaid Stitched Background and Birthday Candles die sets:

More Easy Fun Fold Cards with Designer Paper For Pennies

I saw the Creative Craft Products Butterfly Gatefold die set at Paper Wishes recently, and since it only cost $20.99 I didn't even try to resist it! I can afford fun fold dies in that price range and love all the butterfly layers this one creates! The pretty blue floral paper you see cost me only pennies because it is a napkin and I show how to attach napkins to cardstock in just seconds in my newest video here. Here is a look at this card when it is opened for display:

I die cut the butterfly from the same die set out of another piece of the napkin paper, sponged the edges and glued it back into the die cut butterfly opening in the gatefold, then added some gems.

I chose a lovely bright floral napkin to make the paper on this card and held the gatefold closed with a belly band. The sentiment die is also included in this inexpensive die set from Creative Craft Products at Paper Wishes.

I hope you will watch the new video here to see how easy these fun fold cards are to make and maybe give some of the ideas and products a try!

Easy Inexpensive Fun Fold Dies and Patterned Papers

I love fun fold dies and gorgeous patterned papers for my cards, but I can't afford either when my budget gets tight. In my newest video, I share a solution to both of those problems - inexpensive die sets from Paper Wishes and a much less expensive alternative to designer papers. Napkins! I show how easy it is to attach inexpensive napkins to cardstock and here is the fabulous fun fold card I create in my new video:

I always wanted to learn an easy way to make bendi cards and I bought a die set recently from Paper Wishes and Fabulous Folded Cards that makes bendi cards so easily and it cost less than $20! The scenery paper on this card was a pretty cocktail napkin and I show how to attach it and make this card in just minutes. The bird die is from Impression Obsession and the sentiment die is from Dies...To Die For. Here is another view of this card where you can see the dimension:

Isn't this Christmas bendi card pretty? I used napkins from two sets and added a sentiment die cut from Karen Burniston. Of course we don't have to use napkins on these bendi cards as I show on this card:

I bought these matching papers and Delightful Daisies dies by Crafter's Companion from Paper Wishes too, and love how this bendi card turned out. Here is a peak at the back with another fun sunflower die (from  Penny Black):

I had great fun making fun fold cards with the inexpensive die sets and cheap paper source, and you can see all the cards I made and how easy they are to make in my new video here

I am entering the first card in the  Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
