Large Gift Tags or Tag Cards For Birthdays From My Newest Video

As I share in my newest video here, tags can be used on gifts or for cards, with or without gift cards and they are not just for Christmas. They also can be feminine or masculine depending on the stencils and dies used to create them. I love butterflies and rainbows and used a Memory Box butterfly stencil and my favorite Rainbow Shattered Deco Foil to create this birthday tag for a special female. The layered butterfly is from Birch Press Designs, the tag die is from Crealies and the sentiment die is from Tonic Studios. On the back I die cut Happy Birthday from Tonic Studios into a pocket created with a Gina Marie Designs Wonky Rectangle die. I can choose to use the pocket for a gift card or just to sign the card. These size tag cards fit perfectly into a legal sized envelope.

This masculine tag card is the smallest of the tag card I made and I used an Elizabeth Crafts tag die for the decorative top. The stencil used for the background is called Dragonfly Harmony from The Crafter's Workshop. The dragonfly die is from Sue Wilson and the sentiment dies are from Crealies. On the back I attached a label to sign my name cut with a die from Karen Burniston.

We all need gift tags and cards for all occasions throughout the year, and I am hoping all the tags and tag cards I shared in the new video inspire you to try some tags with your dies and stencils.

I am entering the first tag in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Large Gift Tags or Tag Cards For Any Season or Reason

As I show in my newest video, tags and tag cards can  be made for any season or reason and the new Watercolor Woodland Sprigs wide washi tape from Memory Box is perfect for tags and tag cards! It looks totally different depending on what color of cardstock you attach it to. I made this birthday tag card with the Memory Box washi tape and dies from Crealies (tag), Karen Burniston (sentiment) and Sheena Douglas (the leafy swirl.) I used stencils on all the tags I made for the video, and on the back of this birthday tag card, I feature stencils from Altenew and The Crafters Workshop.

This masculine tag card for Dad was created with a large tag die from Crealies, an alphabet die from Karen Burniston and pinecone and branch dies from Tonic Studios. On the  back I decorated my pocket with a pretty stencil from Gina Marie Designs and a "for you" die from Impression Obsession.

I have been playing with foils through stencils on the Memory Box washi tape and love the look of the sheen created when the MINC slighly melts the washi tape grabbing gold foil in unexpected places. The stencil I used on the front and back is from The Crafter's Workshop and I again used a Crealies die to cut the stitched tag shape. Of course the foil and transfer gel used are from Deco Foil and Therm O Web.

This tag could be used for Christmas or anytime and for a special guy or girl. It can be a card or a tag on a present and I show that versatility in my video here.

Video - Gift Tags or Tag Cards For Any Season With Stencils and Dies

It is the time of year when we need gift tags and this year I decided to make larger gift tags that can be used on a present or as a card. I made some for Christmas but also for birthdays and other occasions, and you can see all of the tags in my newest video here. All of the tags I made feature stencils and dies as those are my current favorites for making cards and tags.
This is the gift tag I show how to make in the video. It features new Sizzix Wreath and Snowflake and Circle Words-Christmas dies and Dimensional Domes also from Sizzix for a cute shaker. The tag was die cut with a large stitched tag die from Crealies and the sentiment die is from Sue Wilson. The stencil is a favorite with swirly snowflakes but I don't know where I got it. On the back I added another new Sizzix ornament diecut and created a pocket for a gift card with a Gina Marie Designs Wonky Rectangle die.

The large tags for gifts or cards do not have to be for Christmas. I love the new layered Classic Pine Stencils from Altenew and they could be used for Christmas or any occasion. This large tag was created with an Elizabeth Crafts tag die, the layered stencils and a round sentiment die from Impression Obsession. On the back I again created a pocket with a little stenciling and my favorite stitched rectangle die. I can choose to use the pocket for a gift card or cash or simply sign the card on it.

Of course tags can be any shape and I created these circle tags with more new Christmas dies from Lisa Horton of Creative Expressions, stitched circle dies from Lil' Inker and the gorgeous Tim Holtz Sizzix Flurry 2 Snowflake die. The stencils on the front and back of this tag are from A Colorful Life Designs.

To see many more large tags or tag cards made with stencils and dies, please watch the new video here. Thanks for your visit here and for your support of my YouTube channel.

Spellbinders Small Die of the Month with Deco Foil on New Memory Box Wide Washi Tape

I just received my November Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders and had to play with the set of pretty snowflakes right away and share with you. The set includes this gorgeous layered snowflake as well as three other lovely snowflake dies shown on my cards below. All three of my cards were made with a new wide washi tape from Memory Box called Watercolor Woodland Sprigs which looks very different depending on what color of cardstock the tape is attached to. I was working on a video recently where I tried Deco Foil Transfer Gel through a stencil over the washi tape background, and then ran the piece through my MINC machine with some sparkly Deco Foil. It did not foil as usual only where the transfer gel was, but because of the heat there was foil traces everywhere. I assume the heat of the MINC melted the washi tape just a little? I decided I liked the look and made all of these cards with Deco Foil through a stencil onto the Memory Box wide washi tape as the background and the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Snowflakes as the focal point.

The green background on this card was created with the Memory Box wide washi tape over green cardstock, and then Deco Foil Shattered Gold Foil through a stencil. The snowflake is one from the Spellbinders set and I added the perfect Christmas wish from Penny Black.

My last card shows all three of the snowflakes in the Spellbinders set die cut out of an extra sheet of the foiled washi tape, a strip of the gorgeous Woodland Sprigs tape over blue cardstock and a Christmas sentiment strip from Taylored Expressions.

If you like all these snowflake dies and would like to receive beautiful sets of dies each month for only $15, you can find out about this monthly die cut club here. It is the only club I belong to and I do recommend it highly.

More Easy Stenciled Cards for Special Guys

These two guys cards were made with two stencils and a favorite deer frame die from Impression Obsession and are a result of a "happy mistake". I started with a stencil from Prima but thought it was not enough stenciled color for the background. So since it was ruined anyway, I tried my second stencil on top and loved the result! It looks like camouflage, right? I used both the positive and negative parts of the IO Deer Frame along with a scripty hello from Tonic Studios and a small Happy Birthday die from Crealies.

I am making many cards for all those on my brother's Honor Flight to thank them for their service, and this stenciled card was easy to make and perfect for that. I used a Memory Box stencil and stamps from Gina Marie Designs.

If you ever struggle to make cards for guys of any age, I suggest you try using some stencils on your cards as I show in my newest video here.

Video - Easy Cards For Men and Boys With Stencils

I never have enough cards for men and boys and I often hear from other card makers that masculine cards are the hardest cards to make. In my newest video here, I show how easy it is to make great cards for boys of any age when we combine stencils with great dies and stamps.
The first time I saw this super funny stamp set from Your Next Stamp I knew I had to get it because I love to make cards that make people laugh! I also had the perfect designer paper and a neat stencil from Gina K Designs, but both of them seemed a bit feminine for this card. However when I brushed on brown ink through the stencil, it added a perfect masculine touch and I love how the card turned out for the next time "shiitake" happens to a guy I know!

I made this card for a special young man using a great new firetruck stamp and die set from Taylored Expressions. It looked weird to just plop the die cut firetruck down on the card front, but when I added a grey stenciled pattern using the Stretched Xs stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, the truck was grounded and looked great! Here is a picture of the inside of the card which is an inside spinner card I learned how to make from Jennifer McGuire here.

The inside round circle spins around on a thread and I also stenciled on some more tracks to complete this fun card for a special boy.

To see how easy it is to use great stencils on fun cards for guys of any ages, watch the new video here. Thanks for your visit here and for your support of my YouTube channel too.

Altenew Botanical Rhapsody Wide Washi Tape Cards

If you follow me you know I can't resist pretty wide washi tapes but when I first saw the Botanical Rhapsody wide washi tape from Altenew, the black and white color scheme did not speak to me. A friend bought it though and shared some with me, and I realized you can put the black and white wide washi tape over different colors and patterns and it looks totally different and very cool each time! This first card I put it over a black triangular patterned cardstock and die cut out triangles from Reverse Confetti. (I cased this sketch idea from Pinterest and have used it several times but have lost who to give credit to...) I also cut out a few of the leaves and flowers and did just a bit of coloring, added a sentiment die from Sue Wilson and some gems from Gina Marie Designs.

I attached the black and white wide washi tape to blue and pink cardstock and die cut a stitched circle from the pink continuing the pattern from one to the other on this card. I also die cut LOVE, raised it on black fun foam and put the letters back for the eclipse look.

I sure had fun this week playing with and sharing cards with Altenew's wide washi tape!

I am entering the first card in the Thinking of You challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

More Cards with New Altenew Die Cut Tapes and Stencils

In the new release from Altenew there are several die cut tapes as I show on my first two cards here from my newest video. This brightly colored floral die cut tape is called Vibrant Spray and can simply be attached to a card for gorgeous floral beauty. I paired it with a green stenciled background and a lovely sentiment die from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions.

Altenew also released a white floral die cut tape and I attached it to a black card base with a scripty sentiment die from Tonic Studios. I added a bit of color with a cut out flower and some punched butterflies out of the Vibrant Spray die cut tape.

The last card I made for the new video combines a die cut part of the Gilded Greenery washi tape with a double stenciled background created with Altenew's new Leaves and Berries stencil. The HB to You die is from Simon Says Stamp.

I sure had fun designing with Altenew's new washi and die cut tapes and stencils for this video and hope my cards inspire you to check them out!
