In my newest video I show many cards made with both Nuvo Crackle and Expanding Mousse. For the first two cards here I used the same Gina K Designs stencil and Ken Oliver cardstock.
Which do you like better? The top card has gold Nuvo Crackle Mousse that I mixed with Nuvo green from an Aqua Flow pen and after it cracked, I added some Nuvo Midas Touch gold on top. The butterfly is a new die from Poppystamps and the sentiment die is from Gina K Designs.
The second version has Nuvo Bramley Apple Expanding Mousse through the same stencil and a thank you die from Karen Burniston. On clear advantage of the Expanding Mousse is that you can heat it immediately to expand it with great texture. The Crackle Mousse cannot be heat set and you need to be very patient for the fun crackles to appear. I like them both..
Here is one more sample card from my newest video. I made this mixed media card with a stencil by Seth Apter and several colors of ink. I mixed the Nuvo Crackle Mousse with some distress inks to change the color and applied it through the center of the stencil. After it dried, the cool cracks appear.
I love to create unique backgrounds for my cards and also love the look of mixed fonts in the sentiments and I combined those two loves in my newest video here. The mixed media background on this card started with stamping script and diamond background stamps from Seth Apter on a watercolored background. I also created some texture with mixed media paste through a stencil.
Next I applied Tacky When Dry Gel Medium through a stencil from iStencils and when it was dry I attached Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes on the floral stem image. Then I die cut the birthday strip and layer of the "happy" from the background using dies from Bright Rosa. I raised the center "happy outline" and glued on the happy die from the same set. I mixed in another font with a Poppy Stamps scripty "happy" on top and added some gems from Gina Marie Designs to complete the card front.
The inside of the card featured more of the stamped mixed media background and a fun sentiment die from Gina Marie Designs. The stamps are from Seth Apter.

I was having so much fun with the new Brutus Monroe Sketch Deco Foils and some new stencils for my latest video here, I made almost a dozen cards in just a couple days! The three I am featuring today were all made with Deco Foil's Transfer Gel and several new stencils. The wedding card above was made with Silver Sketch Deco Foil, a Tonic Studios stencil and "always" sentiment die as well as a double layer of Seth Apter's Ring String die.
On this sympathy card, I sponged green ink through a new stencil from Gina K Designs and Therm O Web, then moved the stencil over and applied Deco Foil Transfer Gel. When it was dry, I placed a piece of Brutus Monroe Green Sketch Deco Foil on top and ran it through my Minc machine. The sentiment die is from Tonic Studios.
I used strips of Brutus Monroe Green and Purple Sketch Deco Foils to color this pretty new stencil from Taylored Expressions and added a "thank you" sentiment die from Karen Burniston for my last card featured in my newest video here. Thanks for your visit here and for watching, subscribing and commenting on my YouTube videos too!
I had fun making this encouragement card and started by stamping the school of fish with a stamp by Designs by Ryn on a square blue background, then applied Nuvo Boatyard Blue Expanding Mousse through a Prima stencil. I heated the Expanding Mousse with a heat gun which makes it raised and bubbly for great texture. I stamped a few extra fish, cut them out and attached them with pop dots so they were raised above the rest. "We can do this" is a stamp from Gina K. Designs and was layered on a blue rectangle before attaching.
The seahorse is a Sizzix Tim Holtz die cut out of chipboard and covered with Seth Apter Deep Sea Embossing Powder and some Stampendous Aged Gold Embossing powder which I melted with a heat gun. While it was still molten, I stamped with a Rubber Stamper Geometric Swirl Stamp for awesome texture and added a pearl for his eye. The completed card front was attached to a square dark blue card base.
