Birthday Circle Tag Pop Up For a Special Friend And Big Chance to Win!

I have many friends who have birthdays in April so have been making special birthday cards. When I do that, I reach for products from my favorite companies like dies from Karen Burniston, and I am loving the new Metallic Marble Adhesive Sheets from Sizzix! I made this card with Karen's new Circle Tag Pop-up Die set as well as sentiment, butterflies and flowers dies from various KB sets. All the butterflies and flowers and the Happy Birthday on the front wer die cut out of the blue metallic marble adhesive sheets from Sizzix. All the  gems you see are my favorites from Gina Marie Design. Take a look at the inside of this circle tag card:

I love how the circles pop out with spring flowers and butterflies and birthday wishes and I hope my friend will too.

I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

More Cards from My Newest Die Cut Crazy Video Featuring Layered Dies

Monday on my blog I shared a rainbow colored card created with layered hexagon dies from Honey Bee Stamps from my newest Die Cut Crazy video. In cutting all the colors of the rainbow with the hexagon dies, I ended up with many extra pieces that can be put together and then punched or die cut and I used those pieces to decorate this Circle Tag Book Pop-up Card made with a new die set from Karen Burniston. The stitched butterfly dies are from Lil' Inker and the Happy Birthday is a die from Penny Black. Of course the real fun always happens on the inside of a card made with  Karen Burniston dies:

It is much easier to see the pop up movement in the video than to show it in still pictures, but the four circles pop out and are decorated with more rainbow butterflies and flowers and "celebrate" which is also a Karen Burniston die.

Obviously we don't need to use rainbow colors to make a pretty layered hexagon card. I die cut a card base with the largest hexagon of the Honey Bee Hexagon Solid Stack and layered on every other one of the hexagons cut out of a pretty floral cardstock from Park Lane by Joanns. The gorgeous butterfly on the top is a layered die from Birch Press Designs. Here is a look at the inside of the card:

I had so much fun creating these cards with layered dies for my new video and hope they inspire you to look at your dies in a new way and have fun designing with them.

I am entering the second card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Video - Die Cut Crazy Series - 4 Cards with Layered Die Sets

I admit I am die cut crazy and love finding ways to use my larger die sets in different ways. In my new video released today, I am sharing 4 cards all made with layered die sets. I was totally inspired by a video fron Jennifer McGuire to purchase the Honey Bee Stamps Hexagon Solid Stack and play around with different ways to use those layered dies. Here is the first card I made which was inspired by one by Jennifer:

I used the colors of the rainbow and a cheerful Happy Birthday die from Penny Black to make this bright card. You can also punch shapes out of the layered pieces as I did for the butterfly on the inside of this card:

The "celebrate" is a favorite Karen Burniston die. Here is the card I show how to make in the video:

I used a new layering die called 8 Point Star from Crealies and 4 colors of coordinating cardstock from My Favorite Things to create this card in the video. There are so many dies in this set I used only every other one to cut the layers for this card and I show how I did that in the new video. I again used the Happy Birthday sentiment from Penny Black offsetting the black with red and raising it on mounting strips from Motion Crafts.

To see how easy it is to make this card with layered dies, watch the video here. Thanks for your visit here, for watching and subscribing to my YouTube channel and for helping me #share the joy of creativity!

I like to make school color personalized graduation cards and this one features the Crealies #3 Create A Card Stairstep die and is one of 6 cards I share in the video posted this week on Monday here. This is the front view and you see dancing graduates created with a Taylored Expressions die, double layered and sponged "you did it!" created with a Karen Burniston die and "Class of" from Impression Obsession. Here is the view from the side of the card:

The graduation year is displayed on the steps using dies from Karen Burniston. And here is the back of the card with a place for a monetary gift and personal message with a die from Tonic Studios:

I sure had fun this week sharing my easy to make stairstep cards. I hope they inspire you to try some yourself and then check out all the great dies I featured.

I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Scrapy Land (dies from Karen Burniston, Tonic Studios and Impression Obsession.)

More Fun Stairstep Cards with Crealies #3 Create a Card Stairstep Die

I had so much fun creating cards with a new stairstep die from Crealies that I made six cards for my newest video here. This one is to welcome a sweet baby boy and I used new dies from Karen Burniston called Baby Charms for the romper and baby blocks. The "welcome" is also from a Karen Burniston word die set and the ABC Mobile die is by Tonic Studios. When the card is turned, you can see the steps and then the card folds flat to fit in an A2 envelope.

In the video and in Monday's blogpost I share a template for the A2 cardbase as well as the double stairstep card like this one:

The double stairstep card has room for holiday wishes of hope, love and joy (all cut with Altenew's Inline Alpha Die Set.) "Wishing You" is a die from Memory Box and "From Our Home to Yours" is a die from Tonic Studios. These stairstep cards are so easy and fun to make with the #3 Create a Card Stairstep die from Crealies

Video: 6 Cards with Crealies #3 Stairstep Die

I had so much fun making cards with a new die from Crealies that makes inside stairsteps that I made SIX cards for this video as part of my "Stretch Your Supplies Series." I share all six cards as well as show how easy it is to make an A2 sized card, a square card and a double stairstep card in the video, so you are going to want to click here and watch.

This is my favorite of the A2 size cards I share in the video. Aren't those ladybugs cute? The ladybug dies and the stairstep die are both from Crealies, which is a website out of the Netherlands which has become a favorite of mine. I do not have any affiliate links for them, but if you visit and purchase because of my videos or cards, please let them know I sent you:) The prices and shipping costs are very reasonable and the service is great!

I show how to make the cards in several sizes and show these templates in the video, but here is a picture of the A2 size for you to pin or save if you wish. I show how to make a double stairstep card in the video from start to finish and here is a template for that card:

This is the front view of the double stairstep birthday card I make in the video. The layered happy is a die from Tonic Studios, the wish was cut with Altenew's Inline Alpha Die Set, and the cupcake, candles and balloons were all cut with dies from Karen Burniston. The large alphabet dies in the card above and the BIG! here are from Karen Burniston. What makes the double stairstep card so fun is the ability to convey several messages:

In the video here, I show how easy it is to make this double staircase card that says "Happy B-Day! Wish Big!" using the Crealies #3 Stairstep Die and I share a holiday double stairstep card too. Tomorrow I have posted another video and will share here on my blog how you can win the card I make as part of a video hop. Be sure to check back for that and then more stairstep cards later in the week.

More Amazing Textured Cards with Nuvo Expanding Mousse

I had so much fun playing with my Nuvo Expanding Mousse for my newest video, I have three more cards to share with you today! I applied Nuvo Bramley Apple Expanding Mousse through an older Tonic Studios stencil on a narrow strip of thick white cardstock, sprinkled with Stampendous Aged Hunter Embossing Enamel, and heated it with a heat gun for the gorgeous bumpy raised texture you see in this photo. The Bloom and Bashful Daisy were cut with dies from Penny Black out of Tonic Studios Mirror Card.

On this card, I applied Nuvo Boatyard Blue Expanding Mousse through an older Tonic stencil and sprinkled on Seth Apter Patina Oxide Baked Texture embossing powder before heating with a heat gun. I added a Sizzix Laurel 3D Impresslits cut of of Tonic Copper mirror card and a double layered "All the Best" from Impression Obsession.

My last card shows how you do not need to apply the Nuvo Expanding Mousse through a stencil. I die cut a heart and applied a mix of Red Leather and Worn Linen Expanding Mousee directly to the heart, then sprinkled on Stampendous Aged Scarlet Embossing Enamel. Of course the key to getting this product to puff up and bubble is heating it thoroughly with a heat gun as I show in the video here. The Seed Love die is from Poppy Stamps, the wavy ribbon is by Die-Namites and I added a couple gems from Gina Marie Designs.

Be sure to stop back Friday for one more card made with this awesome product as well as a link to an Instagram hop where you can see lots of inspiration and maybe win a big prize!

Video - Amazing Texture With Nuvo Expanding Mousse

Nuvo (which is a division of Tonic Studios) has a new product called Expanding Mousse that is so easy to use and create amazing texture on our cards, and I am featuring it in my newest video released today.

This is the card I show how to make in the new video. (I am also sharing another version of it on Friday when I participate in an Instagram hop where there is a great prize to be won, so be sure to check back for that!) If you watch the video, you will see how easy it is to create the wonderful texture on this card. Here is a close-up:

I not only use the Tuscan Gold Expanding Mousse through the Sunrays stencil from Tim Holtz, but also sprinkle on Stampendous Aged Spice Embossing Enamel for additional color and texture. Then the key to getting the bubbly bumpy texture is to heat the Expanding Mousse with a heat gun. I added a Wish Big sentiment die cut with a Papertrey Ink die.

Here is another favorite of the cards I made with the Nuvo Expanding Mousse for this video. The stencil I used is from Stencil Girl and Bloom is a Penny Black die. I used the Tuscan Gold Expanding Mousse again and this time I sprinkled with Stampendous Hunter Green Embossing Enamel. I added a few gold spots by mixing a Nuvo gold glitter marker pool with some water and sprinkling on.

I will be sharing more cards made with Nuvo Expanding Mousse this week on my blog so be sure to stop back. To see all the cards and how easy the Expanding Mousse is to use and add amazing texture to your cards, watch here.
