More Altenew Wide Washi Tape and Tonic Mirror Card Cards

Today I am sharing two more cards from my newest youTube video. Isn't the background on this card gorgeous?! It was made by simply attached Altenew's Watercolor Nebula wide washi tape to a piece of cardstock and cutting it with a Cutplorations die. I diecut "Thank You" from Karen Burniston and some stars from Tim Holtz's Sizzix Swirling Stars die set out of Tonic Studios Harvest Gold Mirror Card.
I didn't want to waste any of the Watercolor Nebula beauty so I die cut a Swirling Stars (also from Sizzix) and attached it to the inside of the card.
I used my favorite of the Altenew wide washi tapes on this "blessed" card. Gilded Ombre' has several shades of purple and a pretty gold highlight. I attached the wide washi tape to a piece of white cardstock and cut it out with Gina Marie Designs Wonky Rectangle die for the card front. I die cut the shadow of "blessed" from Tonic Studios out of white fun foam and the "blessed" word out of Purple Mist mirror card from Tonic Studios. I also die cut the letters for "I am" and "We are" out of that lovely purple mirror card with alphabet dies from Jaded Blossom.

The Friends Flower was cut with a die  from Tutti Designs out of a piece of the Altenew Gilded Ombre' wide washi tape on cardstock.

I had so much fun designing with the Altenew wide washi tape for this video, I had to order some more so will share new cards soon.

I am entering the 2nd card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Altenew Wide Washi Tape and Tonic Mirror Card For You With Love

I am loving the new wide washi tapes from Altenew and the new colors of mirror card from Tonic Studios, and share in my newest video how easy it is to make gorgeous cards when using these products. I created the sky in the circular background by simply attaching Altenew's Galaxy wide washi tape to a piece of cardstock and diecutting the circle. I die cut the three layers of Sue Wilson's City Skyline out of Midnight Plum, Harvest Gold and Silky Sky Mirror Card and attached them with mounting tape to raise each layer. "For You" and "With Love" are new little dies from Tonic Studios, and I embossed the background with a Park Lane embossing folder.

To see how easy the Altenew wide washi tape is to use as well as the many colors of Tonic Studios mirror card, watch my newest video here.

Video: Altenew Wide Washi Tape and Tonic Mirror Card = Gorgeous Easy Cards!

I am loving the new wide washi tape from Altenew and the new colors of mirror card from Tonic Studios and posted a new video today showing how easy it is to make gorgeous cards pairing those two products.

It is so hard to photograph mirror card and show the beauty of the wide washi tape and mirror card, so you are going to want to watch the video to see how this card was made to really appreciate how lovely it is. I attached Altenew's Gilded Ombre' wide washi tape to a piece of Harvest Gold Mirror card and embossed and die cut with an X-Cut wedding dress cut and embossing folder. The inside oval pops out and raised it and attached Mrs. & Mrs. from Honey Bee Stamps.

On the inside I attached another gorgeous piece of the Altenew Gilded Ombre' wide washi tape and a pretty sentiment diecut from Lil' Inker Designs.

Tonic Studios Mirror Card, Confetti and Dies Perfect for All Occasions

In my newest YouTube video, I share different ways to use Tonic Studios many colors of mirror card, their new confetti packs and their dies to make gorgeous cards for any occasion. This card base was cut out of the lovely Silky Sky mirror card and then I die cut two Twisting Leaves Dot and Drop Dies also from Tonic Studios. These dies are designed to create dotted patterns you could choose to add Nuvo drops to, but I loved the look just as is and created a shaker card behind the open leaves and pattern. In the video I show my favorite easy way to seal shaker cards with Motion Crafts foam strips and I dumped in confetti from the Nuvo Peacock Feathers mix. Here is a look at that confetti and some beads all mixed up:

Warm wishes was cut with a die from Memory Box and another lovely shade of Tonic mirror card. I added some of my favorite gems from Gina Marie Designs to complete the card.

The Tonic Studios mirror card is so lovely (IRL) and when using with gorgeous dies, it takes only a few minutes to make beautiful cards. This shade of mirror card is called Opera Red and I die cut another Dot and Drop die (called Ornate Tree) and a "For You" sentiment all from Tonic Studios to make this CAS card.

Video - Tonic Studios Mirror Card, Confetti and Dies - A Brilliant Combo!

I admit I have a love-hate relationship with mirror card. I love the shine and beauty of mirror card but hate trying to show that shine in photos and in videos because of the glare. But recently I discovered that Tonic Studios now has over 20 different colors of mirror card including gorgeous blues, pinks, purples and more. And it is priced so reasonably- $2.99 for five full sheets for mirror card that is often a dollar or more a sheet elsewhere! I ordered just about every color and designed the cards I share in my newest YouTube video along with confetti and favorite dies also from Tonic Studios.

This is the card I show how to make from start to finish in the video here. I created the unique shape of this card with Tonic mirror card and their Memory Book dies. (In a video soon I will share how to make a book with these dies, but I saw a card on line here and was inspired to make a shaker card with them.) I am loving the new confetti collections by Nuvo (Tonic Studios) and I used the Aqua Flakes and Turquoise Stars from the Peacock Feathers Collection to make this shaker card. I show my favorite easy way to seal shaker cards in the video too. Here is another view of the shaker and the inside of this card:

Anything Goes 4 Kids at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! This year, all challenges at SAS4Kids are Anything Goes 4 Kids! We will often have an alternative theme that you can choose to follow, but are not required to. Create and link any card that is appropriate for a child and your card could be chosen as one of our top three cards and you could join us as a guest dt member on a future challenge.

The theme for this challenge is: Anything Goes 4 Kids.

I created a “Be-you-tiful” encouragement card perfect for a teen or tween using some new thicker washi tape from Altenew and purple mirror card from Tonic Studios. I embossed both with a pretty butterfly embossing folder from Craft Concept and added the perfect sentiment die cut with a die from Ellen Hutson.

Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

Gift Card Cards for Birthdays and Holidays

Today I am sharing two more gift card cards I show in my newest YouTube video on unique ways to give gift cards.

I recently saw a card with the Our Daily Bread Piano Die Set and I knew I needed to buy it immediately along with their Notable Notes Paper Pad and make a piano shaped card. Wouldn't this card be perfect for a music and/or jazz lover in your life?

And if you wanted to give that music and/or jazz lover a gift card, look at how easy it is to create a shaped pocket to slide one in using that same die from Our Daily Bread. I stamped a sentiment and jazz player on the inside with a stamp set from Visible Image.

The last card I share in my newest video is this pretty Christmas wishes card featuring Graphic 45 paper and the Teardrop Christmas tree from Frantic Stamper over Tonic Studios green mirror card. And on the inside is another easy clever way to give a gift card:

Lawn Fawn has a Pop Up Gift Card Holder die that is so easy to add in the fold of a card when you want to give a gift card. The Merry Christmas sentiment was cut using dies from Stampendous.

To see these card in motion and unique ways to make gift card cards, be sure to watch the video here.

Video- Unique Gift Card Cards for Holidays and Birthdays

Are you mailing or giving a gift card this holiday season and want an unique card to present that gift card? Everyone loves to receive and give gift cards so we can pick out exactly what we really want. In my newest YouTube video, I am sharing three unique cards you could make to give your gift cards beautifully. I used the brand new Sizzix Jen Long Poinsettia Fold A Long dies and Poinsettia Wreath Stamp and Die Set to make this card. The poinsettia is held together with a magnet and here is a look at what happens when the poinsettia is opened:

I have slid a gift card into the center of the Fold A Long die and show how to do that in my video here. Here is a look at the inside of the card featuring the Jen Long Sizzix stamp and die set:

Thanks for visiting, watching and subscribing and thanks, too, for helping me #share the joy of creativity!

A Drunken Watercolor Misadventure

I absolutely love finding new techniques to try and also love designing with watercolor powders such as Brushos, so when I saw a new technique called Drunken Watercolors I was sure I was going to love it. Instead of spraying the Brushos with water, this technique uses rubbing alcohol and the look is very different. I am not sure I like it? It is a unique look for sure...The top card was created that way on glossy paper and the next one on Yupo paper. Both cards feature a beautiful new die from Gina Marie Designs called Duck Scene and the sentiments are from Tonic Studios. I was trying to create a sunset scene with blue, yellow, orange and red Brushos.

Since I had all my Brushos out and that gorgeous Duck Scene die, I pulled out some watercolor paper and good old fashioned water and here are two cards I made with those:

I like these much better and will stick with water the next time. But it is fun to experiment with new techniques, so will keep playing.

Christmas Blessings Card with a Surprise Inside!

As it typical of cards I make with Karen Burniston dies, the front of this card is CAS with Christmas Blessings from Sue Wilson die cut out of pretty Tonic Studios red mirror card and attached on a KB oval crosshatch diecut. But just look at all the fun when the card is opened:

This is one of three pop up cards I share in my newest video here which is the third in my series of videos featuring the newest release of dies from Karen Burniston. The pop up Evergreen Pivot Panels are so easy to use and create a joyful interactive center of this card. Here is a closer look:

I embossed the trees which where die cut out of more Tonic Studios mirror card and then decorated with my favorite gems from Gina Marie Designs. I also embossed the pivot panel with snowflakes for more texture, and the signature piece was die cut with a die from Gina Marie Designs.

To see this card pop up when opened as well as two other joyful holiday pop up cards, come watch my video here.

I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Video - Joyful Holiday Pop-up Cards with Karen Burniston Dies

The third in my series of videos featuring the latest release of dies from Karen Burniston went live today here and it is all about joyful holiday cards with interactive pop up fun for the recipients! This is the front of the card I show step by step how to make:
The front is all pretty with a silver stitched snowflake from Lil' Inker and a sentiment from Crackerbox Palace/So Suzy Stamps. But check out the inside when the card is opened:

I used Karen Burniston's Charm Accordion Die Set and her new Wine Charms plus the punch line from that same set of stamps to make a perfect card for a wine lover I know. I show in the video how to do partial die cutting to extend the width of this card so the sentiments fit and how to make the pivoting interactive center of this card. Here is closer look at the funny sentiment:

I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Happy Holidays 4 Kids OR Anything Goes 4 Kids at Send a Smile 4 Kids!

The theme for this challenge is: Happy Holidays 4 Kids OR Anything Goes 4 Kids.

I created an interactive happy holidays card for this challenge using the Frame Pull Up Die from Karen Burniston. On the front is a pretty wish made with dies from Quietfire Design and Memory Box. But look what pops up when the tab with the arrow is pulled:

Believe in the Magic is from Sue Wilson and the Christmas mouse was created with more Karen Burniston dies as is the wish on the inside of the card:
