More Colorful Floral Cards Made With No Mad Coloring Skill Needed

In my newest video here I show many beautiful floral cards I added color too easily with stencils and texture with embossing folders. This stencil and embossing folder set came from Gemini and is beautiful with or without the embossing folder as you can see here:

I used another floral embossing folder from Altenew on this easy to make card and added some gold and silver spattering and dots to complete the CAS card.

Two Sided Sequin Cards Brushed With Sparkle!

In a recent class at Crafter's Companion by Inky Antics I learned about how to use two sided sequin fabric on cards and couldn't resist ordering a bunch and having a play! I share all the cards I made in my newest video here and show how easy it is to make sensational sequin cards like this one:

Can you see what happens when the sequin fabric is rubbed with your finger? It changes from rainbow to silver! I made this card in the video with a new die set from Gemini at Crafter's Companion called Spring Blooms and a sentiment die from Sue Wilson. After I cut the circle I embossed the background with a 3D embossing folder from Altenew and added round Jewel Dazzles from Paper Wishes in all the flowers.

The rainbow two sided sequin fabric I found here on Amazon is my favorite of the ones I bought and I made this card for my grandson with it. He tried to make a letter in the balloon sequin card I gave him so I put a large piece inside a frame made with stitched rectangle dies from CREAlies for him to play with. I am sending a happy HI to him in the mail soon!

It is hard to photograph mirror card and the sequins with all that shine reflecting, but here is another card I made with that same die set and teal and purple two sided sequin material. To see all the cards I made and how easy it is to incorporate two sided sequin magic into your cards, watch the new video here.

I am entering the first card in the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

More Butterfly Cards and Giveaway Reminder

I just purchased the 3 in 1 Butterfly Garden die set from Gemini and Crafter's Companion and this card from my new butterfly video shows how to make a lovely card simply by cutting and layering! The die is large and this is a 5 x 7 card but my next card shows it can be used on an A2 sized card as well:

The background is embossed pink mirror card from Paper Wishes. Here is a card I made with a 3D slimline embossing folder from Nellie's Choice and made even more lovely by adding embossed butterflies:

This card is so much prettier IRL or in the video where you can see the 3D texture and color better! I simply brushed on yellow and green inks before layering on a green slimline card. The sentiment die is from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions.

My last two cards feature the Butterfly Heart Create A Card die set from Gemini and Crafter's Companion. The die alone is so pretty all I needed to do was die cut it out of a card front, add some of the embossed butterflies from the same die set and add a sentiment strip.

**Check out the new video here and leave a comment as detailed for a chance to win a prize package worth about $100 celebrating my 5 year anniversary of being on YouTube!**

Faux Rice Paper Framed Cards From My Newest Video

See the napkin under the card in the picture above? In my newest video I show how to take a napkin,  some white glue and some coffee to change the napkin below into the translucent piece of rice paper shown in all the cards in the video. It is so easy and the results are gorgeous! The frame was created with a die from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions. I also die cut a butterfly out of the rice paper and yellow cardstock, attached it with the wings raised and added some gems.

Here is another card I created with a frame cut with Crealies dotted square dies and another pretty napkin. I show in the video how you can add dye ink reinkers for an alternative color and the top flower is a bright blue created that way. Here is a card I made with faux rice paper where I added yellow reinker:

The frame is a die from Gemini and the flowers are part of that set and were cut with the yellow tinged faux tissue paper and cream colored under them.

Here is a slimline card I made with a pretty napkin framed by crosshatch slimline dies from Karen Burniston. HB2U is a die from Picket Fence.

I had great fun making all these cards with the Faux Tissue Paper technique for my new video and hope you will watch and give it a try!

More Edger Cards With New Dies from Paper Discovery and Gemini

As I was having fun designing cards with edger dies for my newest video here, I remembered I had two new sets of edger dies that I had not played with yet. This easel card was created with both panels in the Lost In Music Musical Panels Die Set from Paper Discovery at Paper Wishes. I raised the keyboard to create the easel which is easier to see in this picture:

The Spring Tulips Edge'ables die from Gemini is perfect for a slimline card as I show above, but can also be used for a mini-slimline with 6 x 6 Tulips Designer Paper from Paper Wishes as I did in this card:

I wasn't sure if I wanted patterned paper on green or green cardstock on patterned paper so I did both and put the other one inside this mini-slimline card:

The sentiments on both the front and inside were part of a free pack of Dazzles I got from Paper Wishes when I joined the Fabulous Folded Subscription plan and are so easy to stick on even in small places.

I had great fun creating all the cards with new edger dies for my new video. I hope you will check out the video and have some fun this week experimenting with new ideas in your cardmaking!

Crafter's Companion Gemini Foiled Beauties

Christmas came early this year and Santa was a friend who gave me a Gemini Foilpress as well as many Gemini foil stamp dies and foils all from Crafter's Companion. One of my favorites of the stamp dies I received was this beautiful tree which I cut out with a square wavy wonky die from Kat Scrappiness.

The background has tiny stars, hearts and dots which also sparkle with foiled beauty. I used Crafter's Companion Birthday Party Foil Transfers to easily achieve that fun foiled look. Using their application tool, I rubbed on the patterned transfer onto a blue plaid patterned cardstock and then applied regular foil. I cut a square to frame the tree and then cut "Thinking" from the same foiled background using a die from Simon Says Stamp.

Some of the Gemini Foilpress images cut as well as "stamp" the image in foil in the Foilpress machine like the gorgeous butterfly on this card. I "stamped" some pretty foiled flowers on the card front and even cut the shadow of Gina K's "hello" out of a silver foiled piece. I die cut the front out of my favorite stitched rectangle dies from Kat Scrappiness and added some gems to complete the card.

Foiled and Die Cut Christmas Cards with a Gemini Foilpress

A very generous friend just gave me a Gemini Foilpress, a bunch of the Gemini foil stamp dies and the transfer foils also from Crafter's Companion, and these are three of the first cards I created with the Christmas images I received. I believe that no matter what size of card I am creating, the cards are so much more appealing to the eye when the card fronts are cut with stitched dies from Kat Scrappiness as I did on all three of the cards in this blogpost. I die cut "Merry Christmas" using dies from Stampendous for the eclipse look.

One of my favorites of the Gemini Stamp Dies for the Foilpress was the snowflake border I used on both this mini slimline and the slimline card below. On both cards I added a sticker sentiment from STAMPlorations and cut the card fronts with stitched dies from Kat Scrappiness.
