JUGS 40 with Just Rite

 

I really liked the sketch this week at JUGS and since Just Rite was sponsoring them this week, I decided to use my Just Rite stamps again today. I used markers to color the tree, sentiment and border and layered it on a scalloped circle with punched scallops. The flowers were punched out of felt with my new Tim Holtz floral diecut and the border punch is SU.

Just Rite In & Out Challenge

 

The challenge this week at Just Rite was to use their beautiful stamps on the inside and front of our cards. I used their sympathy oval set to make a elegant sympathy card. As always I used nesties and embossing folders in my card. Pearls and butterfly stickers complete the card. I didn't want the butterfly outline sticker on the front to be sticky and I didn't have any baby powder to take away the stickyness (is that even a word??), so I used flour. It worked:)

TESC119 & PDCC 36 Challenges

 

This was a fun card to make. I loved the sketch from Taylored Expressions this week and I used the colors (red, white and pink) from Play Date Cafe's challenge. The flower stamp is Penny Black and the sentiment is an old one from SU (the inside says "...and a lifetime of happiness."

I would like to put a copy of the sketch I have used in my post but haven't figured how to do that. If anyone reading this would be so kind to email me with the instructions on how to do that, I would greatly appreciate it!

EBTKS Challenge 18, Mark's Finest Papers & OWH Stars & Stripes

 

I had fun creating this card. When I am relaxing before sleep (and sometimes in the middle of the night), I design cards in my mind. If what I come up with is good enough, I have a notebook by my bed to jot the sketch or idea down. I know- I am totally addicted:) But I know I am not the only one... This card came to me a few nights ago that way...

The challenge this week at Everything but the Kitchen Sink was to use aluminum foil in our cards; at Mark's Finest Papers we were to use diecuts (I used my circles); and Operation Write Home's Stars and Stripes blogs wanted birthday themed cards. I used a new embossing folder from Crafts Too with aluminum foil over a piece of cardstock to make the left part of the card. The hawk stamp is a new one from Memory Box.

OWH#23, Curtain Call Act 36 & Stamp Simply

 

I created this card as another Any Hero Card for Operation Write Home and this time I used their sketch from OWH#36 as well. The colors from Curtain Call Act 36 were red, white, blue and kraft and Stamp Simply wanted us to use stars on our cards. Seems fitting for a 4th of July weekend.

Scrapbook Friday Twisted Sketch#055

 

Yup, this my second post today...Yesterday I could not get Blogger to work no matter how many times I tried. So I posted yesterday's card first and now am sharing a scrapbook page I created for the challenge at Twisted Sketch. The sketch was great and the twist was to use flags somewhere on your page. I finished the page and then realized I was supposed to add flags somewhere but I guess it turned out ok. The paper is all from CTMH and so are the cute corderoy brads. Course the best parts are the pictures of my darling grandson:)

Sketch Saturday Week 109

 

I really liked the sketch this week at Sketch Saturday! The semi-circles at the top and bottom and the strip across the center - the possibilities are endless as to what you could do with this sketch. I have thank you notes on the brain lately- can you tell? Between the wedding and showers and also for Anyday Heroes at Operation Write Home, I am making alot of them. I bought the set of CB thank yous and will be using that again and again this year. I colored the gems with my copics to match the burgandy cardstock. The punches are from SU and Martha Stewart.
