Repeat Impressions Rock Star Announcement

Guess who is the newest member of the Repeat Impressions design team or "Rock Star"? Yep- it is me!! I am sooo excited to have been chosen to be a part of this great company's team. I have participated in many of their challenges in the past and even won several times. I love their complete line of stamps and will of course be featuring them in my weekly blog posts. The card I am sharing today was designed using the current sketch on the Repeat Impressions blog, the House that Stamps Built.  The funny stamps on the front and inside are available from Repeat Impressions on their retail site. I used a cuttlebug folder and a punch from ek success continuing the candle theme. The rounded square diecuts are from Lifestyle Crafts.

This is a picture of the sketch which I turned on its side for my card. This sketch challenge ends today but there is still time to enter the challenge if you hurry. Birthday Bear and Packer Bears

Just because I am in such a great mood I am doing one more post today with cute pictures I just had to share. This is my adorable 4 year old grandson with the birthday card he designed and made for a little girl's birthday party this last weekend. We were making Packer teddy bears and Nate decided that Bella needed a birthday card with a little girl bear. He saw the scallop punch and said- let's make a pink dress with that- isn't he creative? So the little girl bear has a pink dress and a heart sticker and an original colored masterpiece for the background.

This is just some of the Packer teddy bears we made as well as the Lombardi trophy and a football. Aaron and Donald and Charles and Clay and many more are represented here.

One last great picture of a young Packer fan on Super Bowl Sunday. For those of you not Packer fans, I promise to try to stop celebrating the Packers now and get back to cards. Stay tuned: I have another great surprise to celebrate tomorrow!!

Bearly Mine and We are the Champions!

Couldn't sleep this morning- too excited about my Packers and their awesome Super Bowl win and another huge surprise happening tomorrow on my blog- what a great start to this week!!

The challenge at Bearly Mine this week was to make cards for men or boys. I had this great cutting file from The Cutting Cafe and made this fun but easy card for a Dad's birthday. The circular saying is included when you order this set. I embossed the tie, collar and pocket with CB embossing folders, used a striped patterned paper for the shirt and added buttons for the finishing touch.

Critter Sketch & Crafty Sentiments Challenges and GO PACK!

The sketch at Critter Sketch this week was a great one so I just had to play along. I used my new Tim Holtz papers and flowers and I just love how it turned out. The bird is from a Fiskars set.

I am going out of town to babysit for my darling grandson and won't be back until just before my Packers play in the Super Bowl. So I decided to share one more card today that works great for the challenge at Crafty Sentiments to use bears on our cards.  I was organizing my punches and came upon this bear punch I have never used since I "had to have it" several years ago. I thought he might make a cute Packer teddy bear and so I made a #12 for my grandson (Aaron Rodgers our quarterback for those of you not Packer fans..) and a #52 for me (my other favorite: Clay Matthews). I made mine into a fun card with stickers and diecuts and an old football stamp. I have to say one more time: Go Pack Win!

Totally Gorjuss and Paper Players Challenges

The challenge at Totally Gorjuss this week was "As you like it" and at Paper Players it was "Anything Goes". I was playing with my new circle diecuts from Lifestyle Crafts that make the circles and the rings- so fun! I put three different sizes of rings together over a cuttlebug background and put gems in the intersections. For the focal point I used my new Tim Holtz die that does the cutting and folding for you to make a rosette flower. I wanted to use patterned paper but most tore but I was able to find this cardstock weight patterned paper that held together without tearing.

The inside of the card is fun too as I embossed the whole card and used the circles already cut out and a sticker to complete the card.

Some Odd Girl Scallops Challenge

The challenge this week at Some Odd Girl was to use scallops in our cards. I created a scalloped heart easel card with my Nestabilities. The beautiful heart flower stamp is from Mark's Finest Papers and was colored with my copics. I added some pearl pen pearls in the scallops to complete the card.

Lexi's Creations and Speedy the Cat Challenges

The challenges this week at Lexi's Creations and Speedy the Cat at Mark's Finest Papers were to make Valentines. I made this one featuring Tim Holtz dies for the cute tabs on the front and inside and ladybug stamps from Penny Black. The patterned paper on the front was punched to form a semi-circle by the tab so the sentiment stands out (Northwoods Stamps.) The cute hedgehog with ladybug was colored with copics and framed with scor-buddy and thin black marker.
