Repeat Impressions' Flower Power Separates Release Celebration!

Repeat Impressions is releasing a fabulous new set of flower stamps and I was thrilled when Wendy asked me to join in the fun!  Please join us at The House That Stamps Built this week as we celebrate the release of Repeat Impressions' NEW stamp series, Flower Power Separates. Today is the last day some of the RI Rock Stars are posting their fabulous creations to showcase this fun new series. These stamp designs are all now available as wood mount stamps and as plain, unmounted rubber in the Repeat Impressions online store. Can't decide which designs you like best? No problem! This complete series is also available as a plain unmounted sheet of rubber so that you can get ALL 22 stamps in this series at a huge savings.

I created two cards with the Flower Power Separates stamp set. I am fascinated with using positives and negatives with either stamps or dies with totally different results. On both of my cards I used white embossing powder, sponging with distress inks, stamps from the new RI flower set and the “You Cling Set” and some bling. But because some of the flowers were an outline and some were solid, the look is totally different.

For Dads or Special Males (From the Kids) at SAS4Kids

It’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! This time our challenge is:  For Dads or Special Males (From the Kids.) Create and link any card appropriate for a Dad and you could win one of our great prizes.

I love using pre-colored digital images for quick and easy cards. No way can I color anywhere near as good as the professionals who colored this Doodle Pantry Handy Birdie digital stamp. Isn't he sweet? And perfect for a Dad on Father's Day! I cut him out with a stitched square die and attached it to the front of a square easel card. I also printed the two sentiments from the same Doodle Pantry set. I sponged one with blue ink and popped the other one up to hold up the easel.

Let's Create Tonic Studios 3D Classes Announced PLUS Repeat Impresssions News

I had so much fun teaching classes at Let's Create this weekend featuring my favorite Tonic Studio dies and Crystals Drops, Franki and I have scheduled another two classes for June. The new classes will feature Tonic Studios 3D projects and here are pictures of the samples:

The classes will be June 17th at 5:00 and June 18th at 10:30. There is only room for 10 students per class, so call 715-424-1343 to reserve your spot right away!

Guest DT at Scrapy Land Feminine Birthday Card

I am very happy to participate again this week as a Guest Designer at Scrapy Land which is one of my favorite challenge blogs. The theme of this challenge is Anything Goes as long as you use at least one of the die brands Scrapy Land sells. Here is a list of the over 40 different brands Scrapy Land carries.

I created this feminine birthday card with a new die from Tattered Lace called Double Delights. I die cut two and attached them to a square black card base. I die cut Happy Birthday from Memory Box out of the same paper, but then smoothed on Tonic’s Nuvo Mother of Pearl Mousse. Then I added some black dots with Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops. I attached some pretty yellow roses to complete the card.

Hello Double Pleated Skirt Card

A while back there was a tutorial on Splitcoast teaching how to make a Pleated Skirt Fold with two sided paper. A reader later added a tip on how to make a double pleated skirt fold and I used those instructions to make this card. The double pleated skirt fold was attached to the top of an A2 card. I sponged some ink through a stencil with a Smoothie which is my favorite sponging tool. I added a die cut "hello" cut with a die from Little B. Here is a look at the inside of the card:

In cutting the double pleated skirt, I ended up with an extra pleated fold so I attached that in the center of the card. I also die cut and attached a wonderful sentiment from Die-Sire. I will be sharing this card with my in-home classes next month.

Die-Versions CAS Thank You Card

Hope you are having a great day! It's my turn to post a card on Die-Version's blog and mine, and I am sharing this Thank You card featuring Die-Version’s new Whispers Swan and Curly Word Thanks found here on the Die-Version’s New Release Page.  These new dies are so lovely it is easy to make CAS (Clean and Simple) cards for special friends. I simply die cut the curly thanks out of a pretty patterned paper and the swan out of a white scrap. I layered the swan onto the same patterned paper and attached both to a black A2 card base.

Tonic Studios Beautiful Day Circle Easel Card

It's my turn to post a project on Blog Tonic USA and here, and I am sharing a circle easel card I made with some of the new Sew Pretty dies from Tonic Studios. The dies in this range have pinholes that create a delicate and lovely look whether they are used for real or faux stitching or just left as die cut. I cut a large circle easel card out of pink cardstock (folding the front in half down.) I cut a black circle the same size as the card base and die cut three rows of pinhole circles using the Pinhole Circle Layering Set. I die cut all the pieces of the “Have a Beautiful Day Circle Frame Set” out of pink cardstock and attached with Tonic Funky Glue. I drew faux stitching on one of the circles with a thin black marker, and added Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops to the center of the flowers. The black circle front is attached to the bottom only of the folded pink front.  The easel front of the circle card is held up by a black strip decorated with the smallest die from the Filigree Flourish Die Set. I attached the strip with pop dots to raise it and added some Ebony Black Crystal Drops to these flowers too.  I find I use Nuvo Crystal Drops on almost every card I make. I love how they are self-leveling and add a perfect finishing touch to any craft project.
