Video- Holiday and Love Pop Up Interactive Cards with New Karen Burniston Dies

I love to make interactive cards and am a huge fan of Karen Burniston's unique pop up dies. In my newest video I share cards I made with all the newest KB dies. My favorite dies from the new release are the Surprise Ball Pop Up and the Flap and Closure dies and this is one of the cards I made with those fabulous new dies:

The front of the card is held closed with the Flap and Closure die which can also be used for two or four closures if you choose. I decorated the front of this card with a Santa sleigh die from Impression Obsession.

When the card is opened, the surprise ball pops up and spins around and will surely delight kids of all ages. I made this one for my grandson Evan and here are some more pictures:

The Ho Ho Ho on the top was made with a Taylored Expressions die. Evan's name and the gingerbread man and present were die cut with other dies from other Karen Burniston sets.

To see how the ball pops up and how this card was made as well as several other cards I made with the new KB dies, click the link here and watch the video.

Winter Cards 4 Kids OR Anything Goes 4 Kids at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It’s Saturday and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! Again this year, all challenges at SAS4Kids are Anything Goes 4 Kids! We will often have an alternative theme that you can choose to follow, but are not required to. Create and link any card that is appropriate for a child and your card could be chosen as one of our top three cards and you could join us as a guest dt member on a future challenge. We are also continuing as a monthly challenge so new challenges will be posted on the first Saturday of every month and you will have a whole month to make and link your cards.

The theme for this challenge is: Winter Cards 4 Kids OR Anything Goes 4 Kids.

I made this Hugs tri-fold card with super cute dies and stamps from Waffle Flower. I embossed the arms and background with an embossing folder from Sizzix. The mittens are soft and feel like real mittens because I made them with Therm O Web Flock Transfer Sheets. Here is a look at the inside of the card:

Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

Altenew Year In Review 2019 Doodled Lace Cover Die Shaker Card

The pinks and greens in the February inspiration picture above inspired me to make this shaker card with Altenew's Doodled Lace Cover Die:
I love pink and green together and also love to make shaker cards. This card has butterflies and colorful sequins in different sizes that move around when the recipient shakes the card. It reminds me of spring and I am already looking forward to that here in central Wisconsin!

Altenew Year In Review Challenge 2019 Floral Foiled Friendship Card

Altenew has a new challenge this month to pick one of the inspiration photos above and create a card using the colors or flowers. I was inspired to pull out a sadly neglected Altenew Doodled Lace Cover Die and create this card:

I chose the gold and pinks from the July 2019 inspiration photo for the colors of the Deco Foiled flowers on my card. Deco Foil Summer Rainbow is a pretty combination of gold and pink but as usual with foil, is much prettier in real life than in a photo. I die cut the Altenew Doodled Lace Cover Die and the Friends die from Tutti Designs out of a Deco Foil Toner Sheet from Therm O Web and ran it through my MINC with the Summer Rainbow Deco Foil. I cut a little off the cover die and attached it on a top folding white card base.

I am entering this in the Altenew Year In Review Challenge.

Pear Blossom EZ Lights on A Special Card for My Teenage Grandson

I am blessed with two grandsons I adore and one of them is teenager now. It is sometimes hard to make cards for teens but they all love their video games and phones, right? In my newest video here, I show how to make a special light up card using EZ Lights from Pear Blossom Press. Just look at what happens when the "push here" button is pushed:

The phone and game console light up! How cool is that? I used stamps from Paper Smooches, Clearly Besotted, Lawn Fawn and Heffy Doodle on this card. I continued the gamer theme on the inside with a Spellbinders die:

I had so much fun designing with the EZ Lights and am told this week they should be back in stock and are 15% off with the coupon code BACKINSTOCK for one week. I am sure you know some special kids of all ages who would love to receive a card that lights up, and believe me the name EZ LIGHTS is perfect as they are so easy to install. Watch my video here and I hope that inspires you to give light up cards a try.

Video - EZ Lights For Special Light Up Cards

Have you ever tried to make a light up card with electrical tape and parts that can't touch and it was so complicated you gave up? That was me until I discovered EZ Lights from Pear Blossom Press that are so easy to put on a card even I can do it! I show how to do it and several special light up cards in my newest video here. I first found these lights in videos that were part of a Karen Burniston and Pear Blossom Press collaboration and it was such a huge hit, the EZ Lights were sold out. I am told by PBP that the lights should be back in stock this week, and that you can save 15% by using the code BACKINSTOCK which is good for a week.

This is the Pear Blossom Press EZ Light looks like:
They can be purchased in several sized packages and as I show in the video, are very simple to install in your cards.

It was my grandson's birthday this last week and I made this special card for him. He loves trucks and I cut three trucks with a Spellbinders die set and added a computer generated sentiment. It is cute but wait until he pushes the "Push Here" button:

It is really hard to show the lights in a photo so you will want to watch the video here, but all three of the windows in the trucks light up! The EZ Lights from Pear Blossom Press are pre-wired all-in-one unites with three lights each and batteries are included. You could choose to use three lights or two or put all three lights together under one opening to make a really special card for a kid of any age!

I had so much fun playing with the EZ Lights from Pear Blossom Press! I can picture them on cards with Christmas trees or stars or a birthday cake! To see how easy they are to make special light up cards, watch my new video here. Thanks for your visit here and for your support of my YouTube channel.
