Many More Slimline and A2 Sized Cards with Slimline Dies From My Newest Video

I admit I am die cut crazy and have recently purchased some really cool slimline dies. In my newest video here, I share many slimline cards with these awesome dies and also how to stretch our crafty dollars by making other sized cards with them as well. This elegant slimline wedding card was made with a new die from Tutti Designs called Oriental Background 2. "Love" is from Penny Black and the scripty layered always was cut with a die from Tonic Studios. But what if you wanted a very cool A2 sized birthday card?

I often look at the cut out pieces from a die cut on a card I just finished and wonder what I can do with them on another card. The very dark brown on the card above had a pretty purple on the other side so I cut the Oriental Frame down, attached it to an A2 sized kraft cardbase and glued in a pattern of pieces from the die cuts. I also added some patterned paper left overs from the slimline card above and  then popped up a funny sentiment strip from Simon Says Stamp.

I love the new Elegant Snowflake Slimline Die from Whimsy Stamps and admit I saw a card on line with the gold and black color scheme which convinced me to buy the die and CASE the card. I also like the navy and blue version- so classy! The extra snowflakes are from the same Whimsy Stamps die set and the sentiment stickers are from Stamplorations. But once again, you do not have to make slimline cards with slimline dies:

On my last card from the new video, I cut that gorgeous Elegant Snowflake Slimline die out of iridescent mirror card from Tonic Studios and attached it to the side of a square card over a pretty snowflake dp. The sentiment is from Sue Wilson and I added some pretty gems from Gina Marie Designs.

Slimline and A2 Sized Cards For all Seasons From My Newest Video

I admit I am die cut crazy and I have recently purchased a bunch of new slimline dies, so I had great fun creating cards for many types of celebrations with the new dies. I show all of these cards and more in my newest video here. I just received this pretty Wrapped Up in a Bow slimline die from Kat Scrappiness and this card shows how easy it is to make an elegant Christmas card with it. The sentiment die is from Sue Wilson. But in the new video, I also show how to stretch our crafty dollars by making other cards with the slimline dies. Here are a masculine and an A2 sized Joy Fold version with this same die:

This is a fun slimline card I made with Tutti Designs Slimline Stars Background die. I cut the die out with yellow, black and white for other cards I made and previously blogged, so I created one more card with the top yellow on black, the bottom black on yellow and added some white sparkly stars for interest. The strip sentiment is from Paper Roses.

I am entering the first card in the Fun With Dies challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Video - Slimline Dies For A2 and Slimline Cards For All Seasons and Celebrations

I love to make slimline cards with slimline dies, but also like to  find ways to stretch my crafty dollars, and in my newest video I share many slimline cards but also A2 cards made with slimline dies. I also show non-holiday cards made with holiday slimline dies.

My favorite of the new slimline dies I recently received is the Slimline Branch Frame Die from Dies...to Die For at ShopScrapbook101.com. I thought we would all like the idea of a bright and hopeful 2021 and I created this double easel slimline card with that in mind. The lanterns, sentiment and 2021 are also dies from Dies...to Die For and look at what happens when the "push here" button is pushed:

The lantern lights up using an EZ Light from Pear Blossom Press! I love how this card turned out, but what if you wanted an A2 sized card?

In the new video, I show how to adjust the Slimline Branch Frame to an A2 size and also how to make this double easel card. All the dies on this card are from Dies...to Die For and here is another view of this card:

I love ugly Christmas sweaters - they just make me smile! This slimline easel card started with the Plaid 2 Slimline Background Die from Dies...to Die For cut twice and layered together. Then I cut three sweaters and decorated them with other dies from the same set and the Decorate the Tree die set, and added the layered sentiment die (all from Dies...to Die For.) Here is a look at this slimline easel card from the side and the inside:

I show many many more cards in the new video so I hope you take a few minutes and watch it here. Thanks for your visit today and your support of my blog and YouTube channel!

Winter Cards 4 Kids OR Anything Goes 4 Kids At Send a Smile 4 Kids

It’s the first Saturday of a new month and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! Again this year, all challenges at SAS4Kids are Anything Goes 4 Kids! We will often have an alternative theme that you can choose to follow, but are not required to. Create and link any card that is appropriate for a child and your card could be chosen as one of our top three cards and you could join us as a guest dt member on a future challenge. We are also continuing as a monthly challenge so new challenges will be posted on the first Saturday of every month and you will have a whole month to make and link your cards.

The theme for this challenge is: Winter Cards 4 Kids Or Anything Goes 4 Kids. As always, be sure to check the current needs page before sending any cards in and stay safe and healthy.

I made my winter card with a perfect sentiment die from Cutplorations and a joyful snowman from Penny Black. The textured snow in the sky and snowbank was created with Maker Forte’s Marshmallow Paste and a heat gun.

Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

Two Winter Shaker Cards With New Products

I am sharing a couple new shaker cards I made with new holiday products before it is too late to show Christmas cards. I love pinpoint cover dies that add such fun easy texture to a card and on the card above I used the new Memory Box Snowflake Pinpoint Plate for the card background. Inside my mug (made with a Gina Marie Designs die) are chocolate, candy and marshmallow shaker bits from Maker Forte. The warm wishes border die is from Memory Box and I used a  brand new sentiment die from Sue Wilson on the inside of this sweet winter card:

I foiled the front of this shaker card with a new Many Flakes Toner Design sheet from Unity and Therm O Web called Snow Many Flakes and cut a snowflake opening (die from Impression Obsession) for my shaker. The JOY and snowflake are dies from WPlus9. Inside the shaker are pastel snowflakes and Snowy Day II sequins from Kat Scrappiness. I love to make shaker cards and was happy to get a chance to make a couple more holiday cards with these great products.

I am entering the 2nd card in the Christmas challenge at Dies R US and the first card in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Fun with Dies.

Whimsy Stamps Slimline Winter Card Hop and Giveaway with Oh So Real Snow

I am so happy to be participating in a video hop today where you could win one of several prizes generously donated by Whimsy Stamps, the inventors of slimline dies! My first slimline dies were from Whimsy Stamps and I love to create slimline cards with them! To have a chance at winning, watch the new video here and comment, then click on the Rafflecopter link in the description box for more chances at the prizes before hopping on.

The first card I show in the video is this fun snowy hugs slimline card I made with a cute Whimsy Stamps stamp set called Frosty Hugs and their stitched Card Builder Slimline die set. Here is a peak at the inside where you can see the stitching a bit better with some more stamps from that cute stamp set:

Did you see the realistic snow bank and snowflakes on the card above? In the video I show how easy it is to achieve that textured snowy look with Maker Forte's Snow Flurries White Marshmallow Paste and then how to puff it up even more for high snow drifts or loose snow for shakers. Here is the shaker card I show how to make in the short video:

The stamps are from Whimsy Stamps Snow Flurry and Frosty Hugs stamp sets and the slimline die is called Marquee Slimline Die, the first slimline die I ever bought. I show in the video how to stamp with white pigment ink inside a laminating pouch (idea from Jennifer McGuire) and how to make the snowy shaker. Here is a picture of the snow and sequins all shook up:

Be sure to take a few minutes to watch the new video to see how to achieve the real snow look on your cards and leave a comment and click the Rafflecopter link for a chance at some great prizes! The contest is open until December 8, 2020 at midnight.

I am entering the first card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
