My Last 10 3D Embossed 5 Minute Cards From My Newest Video

Got 5 minutes, a 3D embossing folder like this one from Tim Holtz and Sizzix, some inks and sentiment dies? In no time you can have three (or 27!) pretty cards for your stash as I show in my newest video here.

These three cards were all made with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Doily 3D embossing folder and the letterpress technique where distress ink was applied directly to the flatter side of the embossing folder before the cardstock was inserted and embossed.

These two cards were made in minutes with a Stampin up 3D embossing folder, brushed on ink and sentiment dies. These last two cards feature Lisa Horton's Botanical Ferns 3D embossing folder with more ink and sentiment dies:

Whew! My card stash is full with 5 minute cards I will be proud to send out or hand out all made with 3D embossing folders PLUS. I hope you will check out all the cards and techniques here and give some of the ideas and products a try!

3D Embossing Folders PLUS Gilders Wax Paste and Mirri Card

In my newest video I share 27 cards made in 5 minutes or less with 3D embossing folders PLUS other products to make gorgeous cards. My first few cards in this blog post show 3D embossed backgrounds created with Gilders Paste Wax. The embossing folder on this card is Woven from Tim Holtz and Sizzix, the sentiment die is from Sue Wilson and the 3D dragonfly is an Easy 3D Topper from Hearty Crafts.

Both of these cards were created in minutes with the Gilders Wax on 3D embossing folders from Stampin' up and Lisa Horton. The next two show Antique Gold wax in two very different ways on Sizzix Doily embossed backgrounds both with Sue Wilson Creative Expressions sentiments:

Another easy quick way to make lovely cards with 3D embossing folders is to simply emboss mirri card especially one that changes colors like these from Paper Wishes:

All I needed to do is add a sentiment die or strip and these cards were done in less than 5 minutes! As were all the many many cards I show in the new video so you will want to check it out here.

27 3D Embossed Cards Made in 5 Minutes or Less!

Do you like to make gorgeous cards in less than 5 minutes you  can send out with pride to loved ones and friends? Who wouldn't? In my newest video I share many many cards I made with 3D embossing folders PLUS...Plus stencils, mirri card, sentiment dies and a new product for me called Gilders Paste Wax. I created 27 cards plus a few in the new video and so these blog posts are going to be photo heavy. To see how easy it is to create these cards and see a demo on the Gilders Paste Wax, be sure to watch the video here.

I have four new 3D embossing folders that I use on all the cards I share. Under the picture of each card I will share a little info on what I used on the card.

I made a version of this card in the video showing how to add several colors of ink through a stencil onto the textured background created with the Woven 3D embossing folder from Tim Holtz and Sizzix. The stencil is a brass one from Sweet Poppy called Absolute Abstract and the sentiment is a die from Simon Says Stamp.

These three cards all feature stencils and brushed ink color onto a background created with the Sizzix Woven 3D embossing folder.

I also demo in the new video a new product I just discovered called Gilders Paste Wax. Every month on the 2nd Saturday there is a full day of free classes on the Crafters Classroom Facebook Page.  You can watch for free but you can also choose to purchase kits so that you can make the cards with the instructor and I decided to buy the waxes and other supplies for the "Wax on Paper Intro Class" taught by Bill the Gilder. I have tried other paste waxes before but was disappointed in the limited colors and how I ruined my stencils with them. There are 28 colors of Gilders Paste Wax including 16 Metallics available at Stamplistic here and I am ordering more after playing with the ones I got in the class kit. I show in the new video how I made the card above in just a few minutes with the Patina Gilders Paste Wax and a lovely sentiment die from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions.

I also demoed this quick card to show how the Patina on navy blue cardstock can be buffed to a brilliant shine especially on a less detailed embossing folder like this one from Stampin' up called Cascading Ruffles. I added a 3D champagne Easy Topper from Hearty Crafts and a Celebrate die cut from Karen Burniston. Here are some more cards I made with 3D embossing folders and the Gilders Paste Wax:

In the video I also show many cards made with the lovely Botanical Ferns 3D embossing folder from Lisa Horton and this one features the Antique Gold Gilders Wax on brown and on green with the pattern continuing from the back to the front.

I was so happy to find out the Gilders Paste Waxes can be washed off stencils (and my hands) with Fast Orange Hand Soap and will be playing with it and my stencils more for another video after I get the new colors I ordered. I added Patina over the Sizzix Woven 3D embossed background and then added Antique Gold through an Artplorations stencil. The sentiment die on this card and most of the cards I share in the new video is from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions as I just love her use of different fonts in her dies.

I hope you will watch the new video to see my demos of this great new product and all the rest of my 5 minute cards made with 3D embossing folders. Remember to take some time to play this week and then send some of your handmade joy out into the world!

Fabulous Folded Cake Box Cards and Video

Who doesn't love birthday cakes? We all do and in my newest video here I show how to make this floral stand up birthday card and many others with the newest Fabulous Folded die set from Paper Wishes. I am a subscriber so at the end of each month I receive a fun surprise in the mail and this month's die set is the Cake Box Card die set. But the best part is you do not need to be a subscriber to purchase this or any of their Fabulous Folded die sets and even without the subscription savings, the prices are so reasonable!

As I show in the video, these cake box cards can stand up as shown and then lay flat to mail. But I show step by step how the cake box can also be attached inside and card and pop up when the card is opened and here is the card I made:

The Cake Box Die Set includes many flower dies, the candle and the tag as shown in the inside of this card and the first card above. On the front of this card I used stitched flower dies from My Favorite Things and a birthday sentiment die from Karen Burniston. Here is another card I made with the cake popping up inside the card:

HB2U is a die from Picket Fence and "Enjoy" is from Karen Burniston.

I made this cake box card for my grandson who loves dinosaurs with dino stickers from Pipstickers and a fun die from Whimsy Stamps.

I had so much fun playing with the new Cake Box Card Die Set from Paper Wishes and hope my cards inspire you to watch the new video and have a play yourself.

#TCFCSummerShakers Instagram Giveaway Hop

I am participating today in an Instagram Summer Shaker Cards Giveaway Hop and this is my card that I made in my new video here and am sharing on IG today starting at 9:00 a.m. CST. You can search the hashtag #TCFCSummerShakers to see all the summer shaker cards and you  could win a $25 gift certificate to our sponsor This Calls For Confetti.

The shaker sailboat on this card is a shaker kit from Kat Scrappiness and is filled with confetti from This Calls For Confetti packages named "Nancy Loves the Beach" and Turquoise. After I finished my video making this card with a stencil from Hero Arts called Sea and Sky and a "Happy Summer" die cut from Dies...to Die For, I decided to add some more confetti to decorate the sailboat's flag and flagpole. I used some Pink Blossoms and a few more of the Turquoise from This Calls For Confetti. Here is a look at the sailboat all shook up:

This summer shaker card was so fun and easy to make as I show in the new video here and you can see many more summer shaker cards and maybe win a great prize by hopping on Instagram before July 14, 2022 #TCFCSummerShakers

The Easiest Way to Make a Shaker Card and New Confetti Company and New Video!

Happy Summer everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! I am posting this week's video on Tuesday instead of my usual Monday because of the 4th of July yesterday, and also because the card I made in the new video is part of a Summer Shaker Instagram Hop on Thursday (more details on that will be posted Thursday.)

I have discovered the easiest way ever to make dimensional shaker cards and I show how in my newest video here.  Kat Scrappiness has Shaker Dimension Kits that include everything you need to make a cute shaker card and there are many choices of shapes to choose from. I chose the fish kit to make this adorable card. The confetti shaking around in the fish is from a new company called This Calls For Confetti, and they are the sponsor of the IG Hop Thursday. I stenciled the background of this card with a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Sea Foam and added a cute sentiment from Poppystamps.

I loved the butterfly shaker kit from Kat Scrappiness and made two cards with it. This one features a stencil (inked in two different colors) from Kat Scrappiness called Falling Starlights and the butterfly shaker pieces are also from KS. Here is a picture of this card all shook up:

This butterfly shaker card is a sneak peak of next week's video in which I am playing with patterned acetate sheets from Paper Wishes. I created the whole card from acetate with foiled butterflies and added a confetti mix from This Calls for Confetti called Celebrate. Here is another view of the shaker on this card close up:

I had great fun creating shaker cards so easily with these new products and hope you will check out the new video here and give some of the ideas and products a try. Then send some of your handmade joy out into the world and then stop back Thursday for more summer shaker cards and the IG Hop.
