Stamplorations Christmas CAS Stenciled Cards

I have been having great fun playing with Stamplorations stencils for my upcoming guest designer spots on Stencil Sunday and today I am sharing two CAS (Clean and Simple) slimline cards I made for Christmas. For the card above I added Therm O Web's Transfer Gel Duo through Artploration's Christmas Tree stencil and after it dried (tacky) I added foil with just pressure - no heat needed. "Tis the season" is a clear sticker also from Stamplorations and I added some gems from Gina Marie Designs.

Here is another CAS Christmas slimline card I made with the same Christmas tree stencil and Transfer Gel Duo. This time I added Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Flakes to the tacky gel and added a "Merry Christmas" diecut from Cuplorations.

I am entering the first card in the CAS challenge at Stamplorations. Good thing the colors are optional cuz I didn't see them until now:)

Video - Pinterest Inspired Cards For Veteran's Honor Flight with Clear Views Transparencies

Back before 2020 went sideways, my brother who is a vet was on the list to go to Washington DC on an Honor Flight. I wanted to make several hundred patriotic cards for all the vets on his flight and went to my Pinterest boards for sketch ideas and made 8 cards for my newest video here. I thought this week was a good time to post these cards in honor of Veteran's Day.

In the video, I show how easy it is to take Clear Views transparencies and some great sketches to make a batch of cards (or just one.) The link will take you to a page on the Let's Create website in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. You can pick the Clear Views transparencies you like and then call 715-424-1343 to order.

One of the sketches that inspired me showed this cool frame idea and I cut two frames with Karen Burniston's dies and as with all my cards added a patriotic Clear Views transparency picture. I also used PhotoPlay Home of the Brave cardstock in many of my cards.

All of the cards I show in the video were inspired by a card and sketch I found on Pinterest. The sentiment on this one is from a Taylored Expressions stamp set. Here are a couple more Pinterest inspired CAS patriotic cards from my video:

Happy Veteran's Day to all of our veterans!

Happy Holidays 4 Kids OR Anything Goes 4 Kids at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It’s the first Saturday of a new month and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! Again this year, all challenges at SAS4Kids are Anything Goes 4 Kids! We will often have an alternative theme that you can choose to follow, but are not required to. Create and link any card that is appropriate for a child and your card could be chosen as one of our top three cards and you could join us as a guest dt member on a future challenge. We are also continuing as a monthly challenge so new challenges will be posted on the first Saturday of every month and you will have a whole month to make and link your cards.

The theme for this challenge is: Happy Holidays 4 Kids Or Anything Goes 4 Kids. As always, be sure to check the current needs page before sending any cards in and stay safe and healthy.

I made my slimline holiday card with two layers of  Tonic Studio’s pearlescent paper cut with Rubbernecker’s stitched slimline dies. I raised the center one and cut out “hugs” with an alphabet die from Karen Burniston. “Christmas” is also from Karen Burniston and I added some gems to finish the card.

Be sure to check out the rest of the cards from TEAM SAS here and we would love it if you entered our challenge.

Stamplorations Stencil Gatefold Card

I have been having a great time playing with Stamplorations stencils as I prepare for my guest designer spots for them on Stencil Sunday. I recently discovered that Stamplorations has 3 great challenges each month and I am entering this one in their November Stencil challenge here. I brushed on green and yellow ink on white cardstock, then added black ink through the Flair stencil before adding a layer of Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel from Gina K and Therm O Web. I cut the piece in half and layered onto a black slimline gatefold card. The belly band was made with green suede paper and a "Happy Birthday" die from Stamplorations.

Here is a peak at the inside where I added a "Celebrate Big" sentiment also from Stamplorations.

Do you love to play with stencils like I do? Here is a perfect challenge to enter, and then stay tuned for my monthly Stamplorations Stencil Sunday coming soon. AND YOU CAN SAVE 20% ON YOUR ORDER IF YOU USE MY CODE STAMPGIRLKARENH!

More Card Ideas with Crafter's Companion Edger Dies from My Newest Video

All three of the cards shown in this blogpost from my newest video here are made with edger dies from Crafter's Companion in very different ways. I cut the Hello edger die from pretty dp from Divinity Designs and also from the bottom of the card front so the inside lighter color of the cardstock shows through.

Here is another idea you could try - cut an edger die like this Cascading Circles die right down the middle of a piece of designer paper and attach that to a card front. Or you can cut the side of a piece of designer paper with an edger die like this Butterfly Breeze die so it hangs over the inside of the cardbase in a contrasting color like on this card:

I love to play with dies to find different ways to use them to stretch my crafty budget and hope the ideas in my newest video here encourage you to do the same.

I am entering the first card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Video - Stretch Your Supplies Series - Six Different Ways to Use Edger Dies

I love to use edger dies on my cards and we all know dies can be expensive to buy especially if you are as die cut crazy as I am. In my newest video here, I share six different ways to create cards with edger dies from Creative Expressions and Crafter's Companion.

This is the twisted easel card I show how to make in the new video and it features a gorgeous feather edger die from Creative Expressions. All the cards in my new video also feature Blushing Rose papers from Divinity Designs. The twisted easel top lays flat to mail and stands up by the raised oval hello (dies from Tonic Studios and Gina Marie Designs.) Versatile edger dies like this one can be used in many different ways and here is another card I made with the feather edger die from Creative Expressions:

Aren't the positive and negatives of this die just gorgeous? I love this paper from Divinity Designs too and the sentiment die from Sue Wilson is just perfect too.

Here is another card I share in the video and this one is made with a pretty BumbleBee Edger die from Creative Expressions and another favorite sentiment die also from Creative Expressions and Sue Wilson.

I hope you will watch the video for many more ideas on how to use edger dies in many different ways and that my cards will inspire you to give some of these ideas a try.

More Simply Made Pinwheel Cards From My Newest Video

I had so much fun creating easy pinwheel cards with a new die from Helen Griffin for Simply Made Crafts for my newest video here. The Pinwheel Die Set includes the main piece that folds easily to make a pinwheel card, a stitched belly band die and many other decorative dies. I added a layered butterfly from Birch Press Designs to the belly band of this card. Here is a look at the inside and that beautiful butterfly:

The sentiment die is from Sue Wilson and the square decorative die is from Karen Burniston. You don't have to use the belly band and can choose to put the pinwheel on the front of a regular card as I did here:

I stamped the "open" on the flap the recipient should pull on to open and here is a peak at the inside of this pinwheel:

The 'happy birthday" die is from Penny Black and I added a gift card to the inside of this birthday card.

Here is the last of the pinwheel cards I created with this awesome die. I embossed the belly band and the circle (from the same die set) with a snowflake embossing folder from Taylored Expressions out of Tonic Studios mirror card. Christmas Blessings is a favorite sentiment die from Sue Wilson. On the inside are my wishes for you and your family (die from Penny Black.)

I had so much fun creating pinwheel cards and hope you will watch the video to see how easy they are to make with this die set from Simply Made Crafts and Helen Griffin.

I am entering the 1st card in the Layer It Up challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
