Easy to Make Faker Shaker and See Through Shaker Cards From my Newest Video

I like to make regular shaker cards but was intrigued by an idea I can across recently to make super simple faker shaker cards with sealable see through envelopes we can use to protect our A2 cards. I show in my newest video how I added sand and seashell sequins into a see through bag after I first inserted a background created with pink iridescent mirror card embossed with Stampin' Up's Seashell 3D Embossing Folder. I added a sea horse and some shells die cut with a die from IO and a stamped sentiment from Joy's Stamps. The iridescent mirror card and acetate are hard to photogragh, so I suggest you watch the new video here to see all the unique shaker cards much better.

Here are a couple views of a mermaid faker shaker I made with dies from Impression Obsession and a new layered water stencil. And here is a slimline kid's card with a mini faker shaker in one of the windows:

I created the slimline with Whimsy Stamps Slimline Marquee and Card Builder Dies and added some super cute frogs with googly eyes cut with dies from Crealies and Simon Says Stamp. The wish sentiment is from Memory Box and is continued on the inside of the slimline card:

I share one more new way to make a shaker card in my new video that I learned how to do from a Jennifer McGuire video. The center circle window is a see through shaker and the circle cut out of the stenciled floral front is on the inside of the card. I used Altenew's Layered Beauty Within Simple Coloring Stencil for the flowers and added some leaves with a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. The sentiment strip is from Simon Says Stamp. Here is a look at this card "all shook up":

I had great fun creating shaker cards in new and unique ways for my newest video and hope you will watch it here and try some of the ideas and products I shared.

Video - Faker Shakers and Liquid Shakers For Easy Unique Interactive Cards

I love to make interactive shaker cards and in my newest video here I am sharing how to make liquid shaker cards and faker shaker cards. Here is the first liquid shaker card I made after being inspired by a similar card shared by Jaime Kaufman on a Facebook group page:

I show in the new video how to add liquid that looks like wine in the wine glass cut with a die from My Favorite Things and the perfect sentiment is also from MFT. The Ruffle Edge Rectangle die and the Torn Edge sentiment strip die are both from Dies...To Die For

Another favorite liquid of mine is coffee so I made this angle pop up coffee lovers card with dies from Karen Burniston. Here is a look at the inside of this fun fold coffee card:

The coffee cup that pops up was created with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and the perfect sentiment die is from Cutplorations.

I decided to combine the Angle Pop Up fun fold idea with a liquid wine shaker and this is the card I show how to make in the video

I love this angle pop up fun fold and the wine liquid shaker but did struggle a bit to get the two ideas on the shaped angle pop up fun fold, so I suggest you stick to a more traditional shape as shown on the first card here. I do demo how to make the angle pop up fun fold and liquid shaker in the new video here. The wine glass die and the wine lovers sentiments stamps are again from My Favorite Things, Cheers is from Cutplorations and the large Happy Birthday was cut with a die from Karen Burniston.

I had great fun playing with different types of shaker cards in my newest video and hope you will watch it here and give some of the ideas and products shared a try.

Two More Slimline Fun Fold Cards with Matching Envelopes From My Newest Video

My favorite die from the newest release at Dies...To Die For is the Slimline Line Envelope die and I show this and many other slimline cards with matching envelopes in my newest video here. But the Teapot Card Maker Die Set is another awesome die set, and I used it for the teapot and sentiment on this Angle Pop Up slimline card with matching envelope. The teapot die is designed to make a shaped teapot card and I will be sharing a card like that very soon.

The angle pop up fun fold has a pop up corner with a teacup from that same die set and I finished the "Time For Tea" rhyme with "You & Me" using layered sentiment dies from Dies...to Die For.

This is a slimline easel Winter scene card created with many of the new dies from the newest release at Dies...To Die For including the Slimline Wood Window, Plastic Sleds, Winter Trees, Icicle Border, Slimline Nature's Edges and of course I made a matching slimline envelope as shown here as well as added a winter birthday sentiment inside the card:

I had so much fun creating slimline and mini-slimline cards with matching envelopes for the new video with all the new dies at Dies...To Die For. I hope my cards and ideas encourage you to give these awesome dies a try!

Video - Slimline and Mini-Slimline Fun Fold Cards With Matching Slimline Envelopes

I love to make slimline cards but it is not always easy to find slimline envelopes in pretty colors to match our cards. In my newest video I am sharing an exciting new die that solves that problem beautifully! Dies...to Die For at ShopScrapbook101.com has just released a Slimline Envelope Die as well as many other gorgeous new dies and I had so much fun making slimline and mini-slimline envelopes with cards for my newest video! It is easy and fun to do as I show in the new video and the price is so reasonable! I have seen comparable dies for $40-$50 but this DTDF Slimline Envelope die is only $25.99!

I also love to make mini-slimline cards and in the new video I show how to make this Spring mini-slimline fun fold card with a matching envelope. The Slimline Envelope Die can be easily adjusted to create smaller envelopes perfect for mini-slimline cards and also A2 cards and I show that in the video. This card is a W Fold fun fold Easter Egg Hunt Invitation as you can see here:

I also created a mini-slimline joy fold card with another matching mini-slimline envelope for another Easter Egg Hunt invite, and here is a peak at the inside of that card:

For these cards I used the Easter Fun Words, the Easter Egg Large, the Easter Basket with Eggs, Easter Lily, Tulips, Slimline Nature's Edges and the Torn Edge Rectangle dies as well as the Slimline Envelope Die. All the dies on these cards are from Dies...to Die For and most from the newest release available here on the website.

I also created a large slimline Easter card with a matching slimline envelope using the new dies from Dies...to Die For. Here are a couple more views of this slimline joy fold card:

I think a fun fold makes a card so much more interesting and most can be adapted to slimline or mini-slimline as I share in the new video here.

Cards For Boys or Anything Goes at Send a Smile 4 Kids

It's the first Saturday of the month and time for another new challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids. This month our theme is Cards 4 Boys or Anything Goes 4 Kids.

I made this pop up puppy card with the Bitty Ball die set from Karen Burniston. When the recipient pulls on the tab, the cute puppy comes out from the side and pops open to tell him he is awesome! The front was created by cutting squares of designer paper, then cutting them into triangles and creating the fun pattern you see. "Missing you" is a die from Cutplorations.

To see the rest of the dt creations and enter the new challenge, you can visit the Send a Smile 4 Kids blog here.

Slimline Cards with Matching Slimline Envelopes!

I am so excited to share the new release at Dies...To Die For at ShopScrapbook101.com with you and the new die I am most excited about is the Slimline Envelope maker die! Pretty slimline envelopes are not that easy to find and now we can make our own with our 12 x 12 pretty patterned paper! I have seen similar dies on the market priced at $40 or $50 but this one from Dies...To Die For is priced at $25.99. But right now through March 5, this awesome slimline envelope die is on sale for 20% off (as are all the dies on the website) and so it is $20.80! The discount is applied automatically in the cart, so be sure to snatch this bargain up before they are all gone!

I used the brand new Wreath Starter die set, Slimline Wood Window, Pine Branches and Ice Skates as well as words from the Winter Words and Add On Seasons Words on this pretty winter slimline card. All of the new dies are available here on the website and remember they are on sale for 20% off until March 5.

I created this birthday party card with a matching slimline envelope with the new Party Mask Die along with the Slimline Envelope and Wreath Builder die sets. I also used DTDF Music Notes Border die and a sticker sentiment from Stamplorations. Here is a look at both of the first slimline envelopes I made:

Of course the envelopes can be closed with a tape runner or other adhesive, but I added a strip of two sided Easy Cut Adhesive so if I give the envelope and card away, the recipient can seal the envelope easily without licking it.

I will share more cards and matching envelopes in a video next Monday, but if you like what you are seeing and want the new dies on sale, click this link here and grab your favorites because the last day of the sale is March 5, 2021!

More Unique Easel Cards from My Newest Video

I tried several new ways of making easel cards for my newest video here and this one is a hat easel card to with a female friend well. I learned how to do a hat easel card in this tutorial and love how it turned out. The sentiment strip holds up the top part of the hat card and here is a look at the card flat:

Here is another fancy easel fold I shared in the new video. This one is called a Diamond Easel and I learned how to make it here. I created a colorful cloud background using the Cloud Edger stencil from A Colorful Life Designs then over stamped with the beautiful Mother Nature stamp from Creative Expressions. I also used the Gum Leaf stencil from Paper Roses and Circus Harlequin and Fun Geometric stencils from A Colorful Life Designs on the inside of this diamond easel card. Here is another view:

I sure had fun trying all the different ways to make fancy easel cards and decorating all the cards with my favorite stencils. I hope you will watch the video here, comment, share and subscribe if you haven't already.
