Video - Stretch Your Supplies Series - Many Ways To Use Heart Dies and Stencils

I recently purchased some awesome new heart dies and stencils and in my newest video here I show 8 different cards and ways to use them for unique colorful cards. I freely admit I am a die cut (and stencil) addict but once I have indulged, I like to find many ways to use them to stretch my crafty dollars. 

One of my favorite new die sets is the Birch Press Kinsley Heart Plates with three layers to create gorgeous easy cards like this one. The first layer is rainbow foil and I added a "hello" layered on vellum created with a new die from Gina K Designs. Here is another card I created with two layers of purple sparkle: 

I used purple glitter cardstock and mirror card over a purple woodgrain cardbase and added a "celebrate" from Tonic Studios as well as some favorite gems from Gina Marie Designs. 

This is the card I make in the video and it incorporates several of my favorite techniques - eclipse, shakers and layered stencils. I recently took a class with Gina K of Gina K Designs and she suggested using shades of grey on flowers. I never thought of making grey flowers or hearts but I tried it and I love the look. As I show in the video, the two toned hearts are easy to make with Altenew's Heart Blocks Stencil and two shades of grey ink. I die cut the letters YOU and the Shaker Heart die (all from Kat Scrappiness) out of the stenciled card front. The letters were attached to black fun foam letters to raise them and put back in their diecut spaces. I added small beads to the shaker heart and put back in its hole so the pattern continues across the heart and letters. I added some gems from Gina Marie Designs and a script "love" from Karen Burniston.

Creative Cuts Guest Designer Post for Cutplorations at the Stamplorations Blog

Cardmaking with Napkins and New Floral Dies from the June Release at Dies...to Die For

In my newest video I show many cards made with napkins and brand new floral dies from the June release at Dies...To Die For at Shopscrapbook101.com. I used the new Carnation Dies on this birthday card and was able to easily personalize the card for my sister with the new Tanks Tiny Alphabet Die Set. I made the envelope with the new A2 Envelope Die Set out of vellum and look at what my sister and all the postal workers will see:

I made a slimline and A2 card out of each of the pretty napkins I chose to feature in the new video. These wood plank and floral napkins are my favorite and I created Wisteria flowers to hand down on the wood planks and raised the layered "make a wish" on black fun foam for the eclipse look. 

The last two napkin cards I share in the new video feature the new Baby's Breath, Glass Vases and Long Stem Roses Die Sets here as well as a sentiment I able to easily make with the small Tanks Tiny Alphabet Die Set. 

The inside of this card features the new layered "Congratulations" die set as well as the new Baby's Breath and  a Torn Edge Slimline Die. I also made pretty blue floral envelopes in both the A2 and slimline sizes for these cards.

More Slimline and A2 Sized Cards with Napkins and Dies...to Die For Dies From My Newest Video

One thing I love about making cards with napkins is how different the same napkin can look over different colors of cardstock. I made the card above with Dies...To Die For new Slimline Wood Frame die and a pretty napkin over green cardstock. Here is the same napkin over a blue cardstock: 

I show in my newest video how easy it is to attach beautiful napkins to cardstock without irons or glue and many cards I made in both slimline and A2 sizes. All the dies used are from Dies...To Die For at Shopscrapbook101.com and many are in the newest June release of dies. 

Here is the same bird napkin over yellow cardstock. The Ruffled Edge Rectangle die and the layered Hello dies are from DTDF and so is the A2 Envelope Die I made the matching envelope with . 

I had some friends over to lunch last week (now that we are vaccinated we can do that!), and they commented how these pretty napkins we used would make lovely cards. I made several cards with the blue floral napkins and this one features DTDF Stitched Rectangle dies layered and raised, and the "celebrate" die from last month's release. I also made a pretty floral A2 envelope to mail this card with.

Video - Cardmaking with Napkins and New Floral and Envelope Dies from Dies...to Die For

Are you like me and love to make both slimline and A2 sized cards with gorgeous papers and beautiful dies, and especially like colorful matching envelopes for your cards? Then my newest video is perfect for you! I sometimes have a hard time with the gorgeous paper part of that combination because I really don't own that much patterned paper. That is not a problem when I made the many cards for this video with napkins and new dies from the June release at Dies...To Die For at Shopscrapbook101.com.

Guess what I used to make the beautiful backgrounds on these two cards? Cocktail napkins! I show in the new video how to take any size napkin and easily attach it to cardstock for backgrounds or other parts of our handmade cards. No ironing or glue involved! And I also share the newest dies from Dies...to Die For which include the Slimline Wood Frame Die Set with three frames and a bunch of sentiment dies including the two on these cards. This month DTDF also released an A2 Envelope Maker Die and most of the cards in the new video have matching envelopes whether slimline or A2 sized. 

The June release at Dies...to Die For is full of all sorts of flower sets and on these two cards I feature the Hydrangeas as well as the "hello" and the small square frame from the new Slimline Wooden Frame Die Set. I made a mini shaker and show how to do that in the new video here. This is the A2 version I made in the video:

The pretty background paper on this and all the cards in the new video was made with napkins in my MINC mini as I show. I even show a little mistake on the one I demo where I forgot to "skin" the napkin before running it through the MINC with cling wrap and cardstock. But I did it right on all the rest of the  many cards I share:) I also show how easy it is to make textured layered hydrangeas with one of the many new floral die sets here. I also show how easy it is to make A2 envelopes with the new A2 Envelope Die Set.

I had so much fun making both slimline and A2 cards for this new video that I made a bunch and you can see them all here in the new video.

Cards For Teens and Tweens Challenge At Send A Smile 4 Kids

It’s the first Saturday of a new month and time for another fun challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids! Again this year, all challenges at SAS4Kids are Anything Goes 4 Kids! We will also have an alternative theme that you can choose to follow, but are not required to. The theme for this challenge is: Cards for Teens and Tweens.

I made my card with a new stamp from Technique Junkies called Baseball in Motion on some cool paper from Paper Roses. I die cut YOU out of the stamped pattern with alphabet dies from Dies…To Die For and raised them before putting back in their respective holes. “Celebrating” is a stamp from Repeat Impressions.

Hero Arts Birthday Message Bonus Cards

I used this fun Hero Arts Birthday Message die in my newest video with the Faux Suede Technique  and when I was done playing I just couldn't toss the extra pieces. So I created another shaker card with different colored seed beads in three different areas of the open diecut. Can you see how the colors change from a darker purple to a lighter purple and then blue? Too fun! Then I had extra pieces still so I created this slimline birthday card:
