Spellbinders Medallion Stitched Die and No Heat Foiled Sentiments

When I saw all the stitching dies available on the market I knew I didn't want the very large ones that would take many hours to make a card with. This Stitched Medallion Etched Die from Spellbinders takes just a short amount of time to sew and is gorgeous on any card. I created this card with gold metallic thread and a gold "congrats" Deco Foil Adhesive Transfer from Unity and Therm O Web.

I created this medallion card with silver metallic thread and silver foil on the sentiments from Unity and Deco Foil. I added a small stitched flower in the center and many gems to make a lovely wedding congrats card.

I sewed a rainbow around the medallion die and added pinpoint stitched details on the background with an Altenew die. The sentiment was created with a Gina K Designs foil adhesive transfer. I show in my new video how to easily add foil to any card without heat and fancy hot foil machines or dies. I also show tips in the video on how to add stitched color on your cards with many Spellbinders stitching dies, and share many more cards with both these products that I have fallen in love with.

RubberStampMadness Summer Issue Salad Spinner Article

I have some fun news to share - I have an article I wrote and designed the cards for in the newest issue of RubberStampMadness! You can find the issue at their website or at local stamp shops and book stores. I wrote about how to use a salad spinner to create colorful unique backgrounds for stamped cards and here is the first card I shared:

The feather and birds stamp is from Visible Image, the sentiment stamp is from Penny Black and I used Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers, Wild Honey and Picked Raspberry Ranger Distress Oxide reinkers in the salad spinner. Here is another card I created for the article:

This card features the Baseball In Motion stamp from Technique Junkies and a sentiment die from Karen Burniston.

I am currently playing with the floating strips technique for an upcoming video, and I tried it with a piece of salad spinner watercolor paper returned from RubberStampMadness with my card samples. The "hi" die is from Spellbinders and I used a pinpoint burst plate from Memory Box on the background of the card.

I have written many articles in the past for Scrap and Stamp Arts (in addition to doing the card samples), but this is the first time I wrote the copy for an article in RSM so that was fun! I hope you will help print magazines stay in business by buying and reading them.

Spellbinders Diamond Stitch Die With Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers Beauty

I fell in love with the stitching dies from Spellbinders and spent several relaxing nights this week in front of the TV sewing away and then put together the gorgeous cards I share in my video here. The foiled dragonfly and sentiment were created with Deco Foil's Adhesive Transfers from Gina K Design. The Spellbinder's die I used on this and the next two cards is called Diamond Stitch Etched Die from the Merry Stitchmas Collection.

The first few cards I made with metallic thread and these new sewing dies from Spellbinders I was not happy with the old thread I had, so I purchased a set of 4 metallic threads and the recommended needles here from Spellbinders and love how these cards turned out. The sentiment and flower were created with more Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers.

There are many ways to use the Diamond Stitch Etched dies on our cards and on this one I stitched a rainbow of diamonds and used rainbow foil on the sentiment and hearts to create this pretty friendship card.

To see many more sewn and foiled (without heat!) cards, watch my new video here

Two New Cardmaking Faves - No Heat Foil and Spellbinder's Sewing Dies

I was introduced to Deco Foil Adhesive Transfer sheets and Spellbinder's sewing dies in the recent Crop and Create Delivered Cardmaking weekend of classes, and loved them so much I ordered a bunch immediately. In my new video I share many cards made with both of these awesome products and you will see how easy they are to create with.

This the card I make in the new video and show how easy it is to add the shine of foil in just minutes without any heat or expensive machines, and how to create a sewn flower with the Stitched Flower Etched Dies from Spellbinders. The gorgeous foiled hummingbird and sentiment were created easily with Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers from Therm O Web and Gina K Designs in just minutes as I show in the video. Then I show how to use the two pieces of "waste" from the hummingbird to create this floating easel:

The "hello" was created with a Deco Foil Adhesive Transfer from Unity on acetate and truly looks like it is floating on this floating easel card. The rainbow foiled hummingbird was made with the negative of the foil from the first card and a Deco Foil Toner sheet run through my MINC and then cut out. The black see through humming bird is just the piece that was pulled off the Adhesive Transfer. I held up my easel with two more sewn flowers using the dies from Spellbinder.

Here is another pretty card made with a Spellbinders flower and foiled sentiment made with the Unity Adhesive Transfers. Behind the flower is another sewing die from Spellbinders used without stitching as a background.

Here is one more sewn flowers card with a foiled background and the 2nd generation foiled "Happy" from Unity. I cut many flowers and then did the sewing in front of the tv relaxing at night to make these cards as well the others I share in the new video here

More Fun Class Cards From My Newest Video About Crop + Create Delivered Cardmaking and a Giveaway!

I love shaker cards, stitched dies and layered dies so I knew I was going to love the cards we made with this die set from Honey Bee Stamps! I show all the cards from this blogpost in my newest video here- and we received so many dies, stamps, stencils and goodies and made so many cards in our three days of classes, I needed two videos to show them all!

I really liked the strips of dp and the stitched star shaker on this card we were taught and I also made these two fun shaker cards with the supplies we received:

This rainbow shaker is my favorite and I especially love the layered streamer/confetti stencil we also received from Honey Bee Stamps. I chose to separate each star shaker and add seed beads of different colors in each one.

My last two cards feature paper, stamps and a die from Elle's Studio's mini class on Friday of our virtual cardmaking weekend. **I am giving away two of the cards from today's blog post as well as a complete set of dies, stamps and stencils from Pink and Main to someone who watches the video here and leaves a comment per instructions in the video. (I can mail to USA mailing addresses only.) Good luck in the drawing!**

More Awesome Cards Made with Dies, Stamps and Stencils From Crop + Create Delivered

One of my absolute favorite dies we received in our huge box of products as part of the Crop + Create Delivered Cardmaking virtual event was this Stitched Hi die from Spellbinders. I had so much fun creating stitched cards with it and this one has rainbow embossed background to match the rainbow thread I chose. This Stitched Hi die set was exclusive to our event but we were told it would be sold on the website in May. Here is the card we made in our class and one I made with the negative of the hi die:

I have ordered some more stitching dies from Spellbinders and will be sharing more with them soon.

We made this beautiful stained glass window sympathy card using stamps, dies and layered stencils from Photoplay Paper. And here is another card I made with a gorgeous drawing by Angie Blom:

Angie demoed how to color this image she drew, but I chose to foil it and then foil the leftover foil again with a toner sheet. Then I paper pieced the flowers and added some foil punched butterflies.

These are just a small portion of the cards I made in the classes and shared in this week's video, so be sure to check it out here.

Gina K & No Heat Foil Favs From Crop + Create Delivered & Giveaway Part 2!

I made so many cards and received so many dies, stamps, stencils and other goodies from the Crop + Create Delivered Cardmaking virtual event in late March that I needed two videos to show it all! In this week's Part Two, I share many more cards mostly from Friday's classes and demos but I also show my favorite products I received from Gina K Designs and Therm O Web. This is the card I show how to make in the video featuring products from both of these favorite companies:

I chose blue and yellow colors and a perfect sentiment to honor our friends in Ukraine. The daisies were made with a layered stencil and die set from Gina K Designs called Daisies Forever. It is not available yet for purchase but will be in the future. I started with an A2 blue card base and stenciled some texture with a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Faded Petals. I die cut out a stitched rounded edge square using a die from My Favorite Things. In the video I show how to add the foiled sentiment without any heat (no laminator or expensive glimmer hot foil systems or specialty dies!) using a brand new product from Therm O Web called Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers.

I show how to make this fun fold that opens with a tri-fold piece and how I added two more daisies with leaves to the inside. Here is a card I made with the new Deco Foil Transfers after a demo on Friday of the virtual event by Sue Doherty of Therm O Web:

We were gifted the "hello" and "sending sunshine" foil transfers as well as a piece of gold foil so we could try them ourselves, and I put them on a daisy and wood piece of patterned paper from Paper Wishes. Here are the cards we made in Gina K's class with her daisy stencil, stamp and die set:

We learned so much both on Friday in the mini classes, all day Saturday and Sunday in the full length classes taught by nationally known instructors and in bonus videos Friday and Saturday night! I needed two videos to show all the cards and products so if you missed last week's you can watch it here. I will share all the cards from this week's video on my blog but it will take two more days to show them all! Here is one more favorite card I made with a huge set of dies and stamps we received from Brutus Monroe:

The instructor Michael shared many tips about coloring the background and die cut elements with blended inks and even how to add a touch of foil to a die cut simply with a little glue and some leftover foil.

I used a butterfly embossing folder to add texture to the front as well as to the inside, and added another layered foiled butterfly inside.

I love all these cards and had great fun making them both in the classes and for this new video. I highly recommend the Crop + Create Delivered Cardmaking virtual events and you can find out more about the next one here

Hooray! More Cards I Made With New Cardmaking Goodies From Crop + Create Delivered

Have I convinced you of the value of the three day virtual cardmaking event from Scrapbook & Cards Today yet? This week in my new video and on my blog I am only sharing half of the cards I made and half of the many die, stamp and stencil sets we received in the huge box we were sent! The box alone is worth more than the total cost we paid! And we received more than 21 hours of instruction from 20 nationally known crafty teachers! If you take a class at a stamp shop with a nationally known instructor, we often pay $50 or more and that is just for the class not for all the supplies used! This three day virtual event cost $278 and was worth every penny! I can watch the videos forever as well as special extra classes by Jennifer McGuire, Kristina Werner and more!

I love to make fun fold cards and that was the theme of the Hero Arts class. I also love layered stamps and this cherry set was so sweet! Here are two more cards I made in this class:

I loved the Floral Circle Stencil we also received from Hero Arts as well as the sweet bunny stamp. I added some tulips to this card cut with dies from Paper Wishes.

We received this fun Hooray die from Lawn Fawn and I chose to combine it with some cute dinosaur and unicorn stickers from Pipstickers to make some birthday cards for my grandson to give away.

If I have convinced you of the value of this virtual cardmaking class event, here is a link to some information on the next one which is September 30-October 2nd and sign up starts May 5th. 2700 card makers signed up for this one and they had to shut down registration after filling up very quickly, so if you want to attend, be sure to sign up fast. Payment plans are offered and I suggest you follow Scrapbook & Cards Today on Facebook to be sure to get all the information on the next ones. (There are scrapbooking and paper crafting events too, but I have just attended and highly recommend the cardmaking ones.)

Remember you can win two of the cards I shared and a set of dies, stamps and sequins just by watching the video here and commenting per instructions.

More Crop + Create Delivered Cardmaking Cards with New Stencils, Stamps and Dies

I made more than 35 cards in the three days of classes in this virtual cardmaking event and I am sharing all of them along with all the dies, stamps, stencils and other goodies in two videos (first part here.) I made so many cards and got so many goodies, I am giving away two prize packages and you could win one just by watching and following the directions in either video.

Another of my favorite die, stencil and stamp sets we received was from Pinkfresh Studios. I love how the floral stencils could be used with or without the stamps and dies and also loved the word stencils (with matching dies!) I added some gems to each of these cards along with some punched butterflies and stitched details using a die from Gina Marie Designs.  Here are two more cards I made with this gorgeous set:

We could choose to make the cards exactly as taught or change them up and I needed some thank you cards so that is the theme I chose. We can also choose to make the cards during the class or later as we can watch the classes on replay anytime.

We got this layered stamp and die set from The Stamp Market as well as the thanks stencil I made this slimline card with:

I also made this card with dies from The Stamp Market and an idea that was shared in another class:

To see all the cards and products received, watch this video and then come back next week for the rest in part two.

I am entering the 5th card in the Birthday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.
